Disappointment washed through me as I stared up at the ceiling. I glanced at Knox sleeping heavily beside me, and I frowned slightly. Was something wrong with me? Why didn’t he do it this time? I had really thought this was it. I had thought that this was the moment that Knox would take this to the next level by marking me, but he didn't.
