The harsh command stung worse than a slap. After everything we'd just discussed, he was still choosing Victoria's comfort over my feelings.

Hurt and angry, I turned and rushed toward our bedroom, my heart breaking all over again.

I threw myself onto our enormous bed, my legs dangling over the edge. I swung them back and forth in a steady rhythm, trying to work off the frustration burning inside me.
