My heart broke watching Amanda struggle through the aftermath of the mate bond severing.

Although I hadn't experienced it myself, I knew that severing a mate bond was extremely painful for any werewolf.

Many people even lost their wolves permanently because of the traumatic process, never to shift again.

I wanted desperately to go over and hug Amanda, to offer her whatever comfort I could provide.
