Victoria stared at me with a mixture of fear and desperate calculation in her eyes. Despite her obvious terror, she wasn't willing to surrender easily - I could see the wheels turning in her mind as she searched for some way to save herself.

"Olivia, if Alexander knew what you're doing to me, he wouldn't forgive you," Victoria shouted, her voice carrying that familiar manipulative tone that had once made me doubt myself.
