Jason's POV
"So Nick and his bitch have been hiding her, can't say I'm surprised he did go missing shortly after what we did to Alpha William and he always took his position seriously"
Blake was right I should have known they had her. I had joined up with Wayne and the other wolves I sent out to find Angel. When I found her what I heard angered me. The Alpha of the Moonlight Pack had called her mate just before he shifted and ran off. This wasn't good it meant I had to get to her before he could claim her, this wasn't going to be easy. Wolves were possessive creatures, but alphas were worse, at least ten times worse.
I needed to know where Angel, Nick and Marie were living. It couldn't have been in the pack house otherwise he would have already claimed her.
"I could have sworn her birthday isn't for another two days"
"That's because it's not"
"Then how did the young alpha know she was his mate?"
"I don't know Blake it could be because of the power in her blood. Don't forget she's a descendant of the moon goddess"
"I know she is but that power would be weakened as the generations went on"
He had a point the more generations born to the bloodline, the weaker the connection to the moon goddesses' power would be. The only thing we could put it to was the fact she has pure alpha blood running in her veins. Either way it didn't matter it just meant we had less time than we originally thought.
I had ordered Wayne to make sure his scent remained concealed and to accompany me to this waterfall tomorrow. I wanted to get there early enough to scope out the area, letting me find the best place to wait and watch for the little Princess to arrive and then follow home.
"If we do this right then we shouldn't have any surprises"
Blake was confident in the plan, I tried to be as confident as he but there was still so many things that could go wrong if we slipped up. The alpha could find us, and I wouldn't be able to win not unless I came prepared. Prepared to do what I had done twice before. It was a dirty way to fight but like with William my wolf would not stand a chance. On the other hand, Angel could spot me, she would inform Nick and Marie and they would run. Fleeing before I could get what I wanted, and I may not find them again. I couldn't risk it.
Returning to camp Blake could sense that other wolfs had been here. One scent stuck out in particular, it was that of alpha Jake. Immediately I mind linked the pack members present warning them we had been found and not to speak a word of what we were planning out loud. If I had found out that one of these mutts jeopardized my plan, I would end their life without a second thought. Now we needed to find a new place to camp, one that was slightly further out at least then they would think we had left.
- Angels POV
After what happened at the waterfall me and Star agreed we should tell Uncle Nick and Aunt Marie.
"How can you be sure your mates you're not eighteen yet Angel, it can't be possible"
"I know that Aunt Marie, but I felt the sparks you told me about on my cheek as he touched my hair and it sounded like he and his wolf said the word mate at the same time!!"
"Are you sure they were sparks and not just a flutter because you like him and want him to be your mate. I mean you still have three days before...…"
"Marie…."
Uncle Nick looked at me then to Aunt Marie and just gave her a look. A look that said they were hiding something, something he wanted to finally say out loud.
"Look kid there's something about your mum… and you that we haven't told you"
Aunt Marie just looked at me then sighed while holding her head.
"Angel we love you and we only kept it secret to protect you please try to remember that other than your father your mother only entrusted this to Nick and that was only because he was tasked with protecting her and you. That's the roll of the Gamma"
"Guys I know how pack ranking works, will you please just spill"
"We told you when you were younger about the moon goddess, how your mum was a descendent of hers…" Aunt Marie paused and looked at me as if she didn't know how to say whatever it was. It was clear this secret they were about to tell me had eaten them up over the years. "Well, she's more than that"
"What do you mean more then that please stop being cryptic and just tell me!"
"She was the daughter of the moon goddess"
"We are all children of hers, she created all werewolves you're making no sense"
Uncle Nick walked over to me and gave me a cuddle, I wanted to cuddle him back to feel the warmth and security that my guardian offered but I was too annoyed. "Angel the moon goddess actually gave birth to your mum. You are her granddaughter"
- Marie's POV
To say Angel was upset was an understatement. As soon as Nick told her the truth about her mother's heritage she kicked off. We couldn't blame her; we should have trusted her with the truth a long time ago. Especially now that she is so close to being able to go home. Angel was full of questions and though we had answers to some we couldn't answer all of them. I really wished we could. After a couple of hours talking, it all through she excused herself to her room.
"Angel sweetheart it's time for dinner" I waited a few minutes and knocked again. Still no answer. I tapped into Violet's enhanced hearing to allow me to hear if there was any movement. Still nothing. "Nick, I think Angel has gone"
Within minutes Nick was by my side and kicked the door off its hinges. I was right Angel was gone.
