Unknown POV

　　I couldn't believe my eyes, I thought they were a myth. A white wolf here at Moonlight Pack and fated to Alpha Jake of all wolves. Who would have thought?

　　When I met my employer, I was gob smacked I didn't know what to do or say. And let me tell you for someone that could talk their way out of hell it was a shock.

　　2 years ago…

　　I had walked into a country bar the other side of Louisiana looking for one wolf in particular. His name was Jerry, he was wanted by the elders for the unwarranted slaughter of a group of rouges and a member of the Black stone pack a couple years back. He was considered dangerous because he killed out of boredom. He had also left them for humans to find almost alerting them to our existence.

　　As I reached the bar I showed the picture to the men and women present until one person told me they had seen him that very morning. Turns out he had been staying at a ranch few miles due west of my location. It was run by Alpha Oliver of the Crescent Pack, they were well know in this part of the country for taking in strays providing shelter from those on the run. As I headed back to my truck that's when I met him. The man that was about to change my life. For better or worse I wasn't sure, but He offered me a proposition one which I could not turn down.

　　I had asked him how he found me and knew of my skills but it turned out we had a mutual friend in common. A friend that I owed my life too. See I had been in a bit of a sticky situation with a group of rogues while on a job about eighteen years ago and almost died. If it hadn't been for this 'friend 'I wouldn't be here today. I really did owe him life, but after this job I was about to do we would be squared.

　　Once I had dealt with Jerry I returned to my new companion. He had told me about the young Princess that escaped her fate fourteen years prior and how she needed protection. After I had been given a description of the girl and sworn to secrecy by a blood oath I began my search.

　　The present day…

　　I watched the meeting between the white wolf and the alpha unfold. Learning about the girl all I could. When I was confident this was who I was looking for I headed back to my truck to make a phone call passing along the information I had gained.

　　"Keep an eye on her, they know where she is"

　　And with that he put down the phone.

　　-  Angels POV

　　Oh my god!!! I can't believe he kissed me. As far as first kisses go… wow! I mean it felt magical, it was just like something out of a children's fairytale. The moon in the sky, the twinkling stars it all just made it perfect. Star was still purring away even after Jake had left. One thing was for sure I couldn't wait to kiss him again!

　　We are certain he is our mate and tomorrow will only confirm it. The butterflies in my tummy are doing little dances making me feel all funny. I could only hope that the morning would come quick. As we made our way home I still had a massive smile on my face.

　　"I cannot wait for him to claim us"

　　"I know Star me too. I've waited my whole life to find my fated mate and have an epic live story of my own. Just like my parents had"

　　"And epic it will be" Star agreed.

　　As we reached home I noticed a light was on downstairs, someone was still up and I just hoped they hadn't noticed I had left. I creeped up to the rose covered trellis that sat underneath my window and began to climb minding the roses. Aunt Marie had said that roses were my mum's favourite and that she had them planted all around the palace. That had anyone damaged just one rose head she would have gone mental.

　　Once I reached my window I halted. Sat on the edge of my bed was Uncle Nick clearly waiting for me to get back and knowing him he knew I would come in this way. As I came through the window I could feel the heat of his gaze literally burning holes into me.

　　"He looks pissed… good luck"

　　Ignoring Star I sat next to my uncle.

　　"Angel where the hell have you been? Do you know how worried we have been. You are old enough to know better. For goddess sake you could have been hurt… or worse"

　　"I'm sorry, I needed to clear my head. I was angry that you both kept such a big secret from me. But I understand why you did it"

　　"Ahh kid, look I'm sorry ok. We thought we was doing what was best in order to protect you. But I know we should have trusted you with the truth. From now on no secrets. I promise"

　　"Then I guess I should tell you I met my mate again tonight. His name is Jake. Alpha Jake to be exact"

　　"HAHAHA well I guess your old man was right. Who would have guessed"

　　"You mean my dad knew but how"

　　"He didn't exactly know but he did suspect. At your second birthday party Alpha John which was Jakes dad was invited and bought him and his Luna with him. Let's just say you and Jake were inseparable. From then on your dad was convinced you would be mates. Jakes dad however didn't want him to be fated to you. See Jake is an only child and his dad wanted to keep the Moonlight Pack run by his bloodline and if Jake was mated to you then It would mean that he would need to move to be with you at the Royal pack. One day becoming King with you as Queen."

　　"Could he not be alpha to both packs"

　　"Not really. An alpha should remain with his pack but then I suppose the packs could be merged together. You would just have to split time between two locations."

　　"That's confusing. But I know we would work something out when the time comes"

　　"First thing though would be to tell Jake who you really are."

　　" He knows that I'm the granddaughter of the moon goddess, he told me she visited him and said that it was important we both accept each other insuring my safety"

　　"Then accept each other you must. It must be serious if she came here to warn him. But look deal with this tomorrow, get some rest it's a big day tomorrow" Uncle Nick gave me a wink  as he walked out of my room closing the door behind him.

　　Was I really in danger? Or did the moon goddess just tell that to Jake to insure he didn't reject me. I guess time would tell.
