Nick's POV

　　It had been two days since we got Angel back and she's still unconscious. Jake had the pack doctor check her over the moment he returned with her. The doctor inserted a cannula into her hand and flushed some fluids through it to flush out the liquidised silver and wolfsbane that was in her bloodstream. Once it was gone Angels body began to heal, however she still hadn't woken. There was nothing medically wrong with her which made me wonder if it had something to do with her powers. I had asked William if there was any way he could maybe contact the moon goddess to see if there was anything she could do, he said he wasn't able to reach her. He did say though that he had heard about a coven of witches situated in the Crescent City so he took Carl and went to find them hoping they could help.

　　Jason was still in the dungeon; he was badly beaten and I don't know what the hell Jake and Benson had done to him but he looked as if he was about to kick the bucket so to speak. I thought they would have just killed him after he refused to disclose any information about the rogues and anyone else involved with the kidnapping of Angel, but they insisted on keeping him around for now.

　　"Nick! Jake needs to see you in his office" Benson shouted as he ran up behind me.

　　"For what reason do you know?"

　　"Nope I haven't a clue he's been in his office all night, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's something to do with Jason"

　　"Alright I'm just going to check on Marie and Angel and il be right there tell him" Benson just nodded in response.

　　As I reached the Alpha floor of the pack house, I spotted a young dark haired girl listening outside of Jakes bedroom door.　　 　　  "Excuse me but what do you think you're doing? You're not meant to be on this floor so I suggest you move along and don't come back up here"

　　"Who are you to tell me what to do? And in answer to your question, I've come to talk to Jake" she replied whilst rolling her eyes.

　　"Well Alpha Jake is in his office and I'm certain he wouldn't want you disturbing his mate."

　　"Well, I thought I might introduce myself to This 'Angel 'as she hasn't bothered to meet any of us"

　　"It's Princess Angel and I'm sure she will introduce herself when she is ready and not when you want her to. So, I will not ask again please leave"

　　As soon as I said 'Princes' sthe she-wolves jaw literally hit the ground. I'm not stupid I know she wanted to be nosey, I had heard the rumours going around that she was besotted with Jake, but he didn't want her. Clearly, she wasn't taking the rejection well. I stood outside of the bedroom door only entering when I was sure the nosey mare had gone.

　　"Marie how is she" I asked giving her a kiss.

　　"There's been no change, the doctor came back and inserted some fluids to keep her hydrated. But there's nothing else he can physically do. Have you heard back from Carl or William yet? I mean if these witches are as powerful as he said they are surely they can do something. She has to make it Nick she has too" Marie's eyes began to fill with tears.

　　We had raised her as our daughter all these years, every time she was sick Marie, and I were there to comfort her and help when we could. Seeing Marie so helpless broke my heart. I could feel her pain through our mate bond, and it literally killed me for her to be like this. I could only hope William came through with the witches and soon.

　　Jakes POV

　　Ever since I had bought Angel back to the pack house, I made sure she was never left alone. The last thing I wanted was for her to wake up and be scared of the new surroundings. I hoped my scent would be enough to calm her, but I had to be prepared in case it didn't. Alice and Marie had taken it in turns spending time with her and keeping me updated on her condition.　　 　　  I had just gotten off the phone with William, he and Carl had spoken to the leader of the coven of witches. Turns out they aren't just any ole witches, they are known as the Gemini coven. Their coven was one of the strongest around, they were well known along the supernatural world. Legend has it that they were created to keep a balance, to stop one species eradicating the other. Their power was said to be completely unmatched, everyone that had gone against them perished.

　　According to William they would consider helping but if they were to help it would come at a great cost. I had asked what it was, but he refused to tell me saying he would handle it. I wanted to argue with him for not telling me but not only was he my mate's father he was our King. It went against Hunter's nature to argue with his alpha. After Nick arrived, I told him of Williams meeting and he himself was curious to their price.

　　"Well, if William will handle it why are you worrying?"

　　"I'm an Alpha, if he takes care of the cost, it means I will owe him. I don't like being in anyone's debt. You can be put into impossible situations by owing someone"

　　"Jake relax I've known William all my life he's not like that. Plus, once Angels accepts you you're going to be family. So stop worrying. Oh, one thing before I forget I caught that she-wolf hanging around outside of your room again earlier. Can't think of her name though"

　　"Crystal… what did she want this time?"

　　"She said she wanted to meet Angel and introduce herself"

　　"Hang on how did she know her name was Angel? I haven't disclosed her name let alone her being here with anyone"

　　"Mate if she's been following you around you can bet, she knows all there is too know about Angel. Girls like her so their research.  I told her I didn't want to find her up there again"

　　"Thanks Nick, I might place a guard on the floor just in case. I don't think Crystal will actually try anything, but I'd rather not take any risks"

　　"Alpha he's gone!" One of the guards shouted through mind link.

　　"Who's gone?" I hated it when I got vague messages.

　　"The prisoner. Jason he's escaped, the cuffs are broken on the floor and the door to his cell is bent to fuck. It looks like the Incredible Hulk had been down here" he replied.

　　Without a second thought I was out of my office and in the dungeon with Nick and Benson right behind me. I looked at the state of the cell. What the fuck had happened down here and where had Jason gone.
