Bensons POV

　　As soon as Jake dealt with the two lust raged wolves Sid ran off, he managed to keep one wolf away from Angel but had a really hard time trying to keep Tan for acting on his own instincts. Jake took Angel up to their room and knowing what was happening they would be unavailable for the next few days. Alice had shifted back but had fallen unconscious due to the blood loss from the shard of vase protruding from her side. Picking her up I got her in the car and breaking every road speed limit got her to the hospital.

　　"Beta place her on the gurney and wait here while we look her over" a nurse told me on arrival.

　　"No I'm coming in I need to know her and our pup are ok" I told her my hands shaking as I laid her down.

　　"I assure you she is going to be in good hands but I'm afraid you can't come in the theatre" another nurse came and they wheeled my mate away.

　　I spent the next hour pacing the waiting room awaiting news and was slowly going insane. Before I knew it my fist had connected with the wall leaving a hole.

　　"I'm sorry" I told the other pack members waiting to be seen but they just bowed their heads.

　　As I went to walk outside for some air Dr. Jones came out of the theatre and called me to a side room. She told me that they managed to remove the shard and that as a result of its placement, it had collapsed one of Alice's lungs.

　　"So she's going to be ok?" I asked relief lifting from my shoulders.

　　"There is something else" Dr.Jones put her hands up for me to let her finish.

　　"The impact of hitting the wall caused a slight subchorionic haemorrhage"

　　"I'm sorry I don't speak fancy doctors' language. Please just simplify if for me doc. Is my pup going to be ok?" I asked her.

　　"a subchorionic hematoma, is bleeding between the amniotic sac and the uterine wall. This can occur by the placenta disconnecting from the original site of implantation, resulting in bleeding of the chorionic membranes, the outer layer of the amniotic sac. There isn't any treatment we can give her. I want to give her regular check-ups but there's no reason as to why she can't still have a healthy pup. I have seen cases where the wolf genes have healed the she-wolf and cases where it hasn't."

　　"Does she need to be on bed rest or…"

　　"No she doesn't need to be put onto bed rest but I do recommend taking things easy and not over extorting herself"

　　"Thank you so much doc. Can I see her?"

　　"Of course, the nurse is just putting her into one of the private rooms. I will make a follow up appointment and be in touch"

　　Nodding my head, I went to the room in which Alice had been placed. One of the perks of being a tanker pack member meant not having to go into a shared room. I walked up to Alice's bed sitting on the edge and taking her hand in my own. She looked so peaceful even with all the bleeping of the machines that were attached to her. The nurse had explained that one was the pup's heartbeat and the other was Alice's. As I kissed the top of her head, she opened her eyes and looked around the room, pushing herself upright in the bed.

　　"Woah steady on there babe" I told her as she moved.

　　"I'm just sitting up, where am I? And what is that excessive noise" she asked me whilst fiddling with the wires attached to her.

　　"You're in the hospital, you went up against an unmated wolf and ended up with Jakes mum's vase embedded in your side"

　　"The pup is it ok"

　　"The doctor said something about a subchorionic haemorrhage but that the pup is ok"

　　After telling Alice what the doctor told me we spent the afternoon cuddling and talking until Dr. Jones came by to discharge her. Once back at the pack house I helped Alice up the stairs to our room and got her settled. I knew we had missed dinner, but Mrs Roberts had mind linked me letting me know she put us some dinner aside for when we got back. That woman truly was amazing.

　　Williams POV

　　I hadn't seen much of Angel over the last week as I had been at meetings with the council of elders regarding the situation with Jason. I had hoped to take her for dinner when I got back but had been informed by Nick that she had gone into heat.  Jake called and asked if I wouldn't mind covering for Benson at training, he was struggling as it was with running the pack and getting his mate to her check-ups on time. I knew Jake wanted to get back to running his pack, but he couldn't leave Angels side.

　　I remembered what it was like when Vanessa went into heat for the first time. Oh my god the sex we would have, her heat lasted for nearly four days and by the end of it we were sore and worn out. Just thinking about my beautiful mate had my c*ck twitching. I made a mental note to fix that later. Heading over to training I was surprised to see Nick sorting the pups into pairs and getting them to begin sparring against each other.

　　The mornings training session was over in the blink of an eye, but it made me realise how much I missed the training we had at the Royal Pack. It had been on my mind for a while but wasn't sure what to do for the best. I didn't want to leave Angel again after just having been reunited though I hoped she would understand when I told her. The elders wanted me to take back my kingdom and place as King, yet I couldn't bring myself to leave.

　　"Alright William spill it what's got your cogs turning" Nick asked me as we put away the training mats.

　　"The elders want me back to take back my title as King, they have wanted Jason gone for a while but he's smart and wouldn't give them a reason to vote him out"

　　"I didn't realise that voting out a king was an option"

　　"For the royal bloodline it's not there's nothing they can do as it's a birth right, but because Jason took over after my 'death' and he doesn't have a drop of royal blood in him or an heir to my bloodline, the elders can vote someone to take his place. Well, if he broke one of the werewolf laws, which technically he has done"

　　"Ok so why haven't they replaced him already?"

　　"Because I'm back and as I have royal blood all I have to do is challenge him"

　　"Sounds simple enough. He's only got beta blood you will crush him especially now your back to full strength. Not forgetting you have learned how to harness your gifts"

　　Nick was right it would be easy for me to beat Jason, that's if he fought fair but from previous alterations, I know he likes to fight dirty. There was no doubt in my mind that Jason knew the elders wanted him out along with a percentage of the pack, this would only make him more desperate to keep his position making him more dangerous. I knew what I needed to do, what I wanted to do but I want under any circumstances about to repeat my previous mistakes. I refused to act until o had spoken to Angel, only then would I finally enact my revenge for my beautiful Vanessa, my daughter and my pack.
