Angel's POV

　　"Where is Jason now, surely he couldn't have got far. What if he comes here, what if we are attacked again? OMG Alice she could get hurt and something might happen to her pup…."

　　"Angel… calm down. Jason will not step one paw onto my territory. I have already doubled the guards and changed the patrol rotas. Don't worry, if anything he's most likely gone back to the kingdom" Jake told me gripping my shoulders.

　　"I'm surprised he managed to walk at all, the pain of losing Vanessa bought me too my knees. If I wasn't an Alpha with royal blood, a bond of the strength ours was would have killed me" My dad told us.

　　"Hold on… why wouldn't he be able to walk? Was he injured?" Jake asked him looking confused.

　　"Ahh, I knew I had left something out, my memory is getting bad with this old age malarky" he chuckled. "Basically, Crystal was his mate. Fated not chosen, but their bond must have been weak for him to not crumble under the pain of losing her"

　　"What happened to her? William you're leaving massive gaps in the story here mate"

　　"Apologies Jake, short version; after Jason lost it and began ripping people to shreds, I grabbed ahold of Crystal and told him to back down. He tried to taunt me with Angel, so I snapped her neck and threw her to the ground like she was nothing" he shrugged, completely unfazed at the fact he had just taken a young woman's life away. Even if she was a bitch.

　　My dad arrived early this morning and demanded a meeting with myself, Jake and the other ranker members. After filling us in on last night's events he pulled me and Jake aside telling us what he knew about our wolves marking each other. To say I was pissed would be putting it lightly. I had asked him upfront if he knew anything and he refused to tell me. Now here he is telling us that we are part of some of freaking prophecy. Jake held on tight to my hand during our conversation, he sensed how angry I was through our bond, so he sent feelings of calmness to me through our contact.

　　"Wait so you're saying that we now share a soul? How would that even work, I have never heard of this before." Jake asked.

　　"Not only do you now share a soul, but should any harm befall one of you I'm afraid the other will also experience it. Members of all different supernatural species have tried and failed over the centuries to take power belonging to the moon goddess, it's one of the reasons only a few knew of your mother's true heritage. Well, it seems that your wolves completing their own mating and marking process caused a powerful ripple, allowing those at the top of the hierarchy to feel the process of your souls unite. Elder Otis mentioned they felt it which is how I know. But because it happened under the blue full moon, the prophecy states you will bring the most powerful wolf to exist into the supernatural world."

　　The moment we processed what my dad had told us we were literally stuck for words. We went to bed last night planning on having a lay in today as there was no training sessions over the weekends but that went to pot. Instead, not only are we up at the crack of dawn but we find out our pup… if we have one, will be the most powerful wolf in the world. As happy it made me to know he or she would be powerful, I couldn't help but worry what it would mean for them. Would they be safe? Would they become hunted by those that feared them? I could tell Jake felt the same way I did.

　　"Ok, so what does this mean for any pups we do have?" Jake asked him.

　　"To be honest I'm not entirely sure. Elder Otis didn't elaborate anymore on the subject. Maybe because you don't actually have any pups yet he doesn't feel the need to share, though I'm sure that would change if you did fall pregnant"

　　After the meeting finished Jake mind linked Sid and Alice to come into the office. Today we were supposed to be going shopping all together to get outfits for my Luna ceremony at the end of the week. But now Jason has lost his mate, and no one seems to know of his whereabouts, Jake thought it would be best if he and Benson stayed behind. I wasn't happy with his decision in the slightest, but I knew he felt it was for the best. He wanted to make sure we had a contingency plan incase shit hit the fan so to speak.

　　After Jake told us we were to always stay with Sid, Rose and Aunt Marie we hopped into one of the packs SUV's. Sid sat in the driver's seat and Aunt Marie in the passenger while I, Alice and Rose were in the back. I was under the impression that we would be staying within the packs territory as there was a small town that consisted of plenty of shops. I couldn't have been more wrong. The drive to the shopping center must have taken an hour, I don't know which town we were in though as I hadn't paid attention to any of the signs on the way here. Once parked we headed into the shopping centre. My jaw hit the floor at the size of the place. Since Aunt Marie and Uncle Nick bought me to Moonlight Pack I hadn't left. I had completely forgotten there was a whole world outside of the territory.

　　"Ok ladies, remember to not wonder too far. Angel that means you" Sid chuckled.

　　"HAHAHA I cant control my laughter you're just so so funny" I shook my head at him earning a nudge from him in return.

　　"When you are finished winding each other up may I suggest we begin our search. We have a lot of shops to get through and not a lot of time" Rose said clapping her hands to gain our attention.

　　We spent the next three hours searching through various dress stores and had finally narrowed it down to a few options. Rose said that my dress needed to be classy and elegant, yet it needed to be bold enough so that I would stand out. In front of me I had two dresses. The first was more of barbie pink dress, it hung off the shoulders, was fitted at boob and waist areas only to flare out as it hit the floor. It was pretty a proper princess dress. The second choice was a strapless dress. Again, it was floor length except this one had a corset back to it and the skirt of the dress was not only poufy, but it had slight ruffles to it. It was also a shade of pink but not as bright as the previous dress. Putting them on I would show the others what it looked like, and they would give me their opinions. We were all in agreement that the second dress was better.

　　"Ok now the dress is sorted we need to find matching shoes" Alice said rubbing her ever growing bump.

　　"Alice we can get shoes another time, you've been walking for hours I'd feel bad if I got you exhausted" I told her.

　　"No, no, I promise I'm fine. I'm actually enjoying being away from Benson. Don't get me wrong I love him with all my heart, but ever since the doctor said about the hematoma, he's been kind of overbearing. This is the first time I get to do what I want to do. And what I want is to find you some bloody shoes"

　　"Oooo I'm telling Benson you don't love him anymore. He is going to be so heartbroken Alice" Sid said wiggling his eyebrows.

　　"Shut it Sid before I shut that mouth of your permanently" We all turned to see Rose glaring at him which had us in fits of laughter.

　　Nicks POV

　　Jake sent the girls on their shopping trip with Sid to protect them. I had expected him to send Benson with them too so at least they had extra protection if they needed it. When he mentioned Marie had also gone, I calmed down, as tough as Sid may have though he was, there was no way in hell he was any match for my mate. Ever since Angel moved into the packhouse with Jake, Marie and I had been helping with the training sessions. I knew Benson was bummed that we took his job as trainer, but it meant he would get to spend more time with Alice, getting ready for the arrival of their pup.

　　As I headed to the dining room to find William and discuss his plans to challenge Jason, I overheard two guys talking in hushed tones. Had I been a normal wolf I wouldn't have even realized they were talking but due to being a gamma I had slightly better hearing.

　　"We have to do something, he killed her and now her mate is angry"

　　"No shit, if someone killed my mate, I would be angry too"

　　"Na mate he wants in, as in here in. I told him I'm working patrol the night of the Lunas ceremony and he wants me to find a way for him to get past the rest of the security undetected. If we help him, he will give us a ranked station in his pack"

　　"And who is it that needs to get near the Luna exactly" I asked the two men as I rounded the corner.

　　Both of them stared straight at me turning white knowing they had been found out before their plan had even started. As I grabbed my phone from my jeans pocket to text Jake, I was hit round the back of the head making me drop to the floor.

　　"For f*ck sake. Can you two not do anything right" said the voice of someone I knew.
