Jason's POV

　　"He's your dad?" Jake and Angel shouted in unison while looking utterly shocked.

　　"Well would you look at that ha-ha. Your life does hold a purpose after all. Perhaps keeping that whore around was the right thing to do after all" I told Ariel.

　　Ariel had been the product of a visit I made to an unmated she-wolf. I had met her when I was twenty-six and angry, I didn't have a mate and I knew she hadn't found hers either. I was aware she had been crushing on me since she became of age so I figured I may as well give her a go. Her name was Jules, she wasn't the prettiest of she-wolves by any stretch. She had short dark brown hair and brown eyes, a very plain jane but she took my mind off Vanessa and everything else. Each time I had the urge to take Vanessa and make her choose me before she was officially marked by William, I turned and went to Jules instead. The day she told me she was pregnant and that the pup was mine I didn't believe it. It was uncommon for a she-wolf to fall pregnant when un-marked as they wouldn't have gone into heat, but that wasn't to say it didn't occasionally happen. Just my god damn luck it would happen to me. I had refused to bond with the pup when it was born even after Jules had a DNA test proving it was mine. As far as I was concerned if it wasn't a pup I had shared with Vanessa, or my goddess given mate then I didn't want it. I had threatened Jules into keeping my identity as its father a secret. I told her I would end her life along with that of the pup had she told anyone, the last thing I needed was for William to find out otherwise being Alpha King, he could have ordered me to take her as a chosen mate. There was no way in hell I was doing that.

　　"DON't f**KING TALK TO HER LIKE THAT" Sid shouted at me.

　　"Or what pup? What will a scrawny wolf like you do about it hmm?" I taunted him while placing a firm grip on Ariel's shoulder, earning myself a growl from Jake as I disrespected his gamma.

　　"Shit more warriors are on their way. You have Nick now let's get the f*ck out of her before we all get slaughtered" Alpha Brad shouted to Jake, little did he know they were already here, and they didn't stand a chance.

　　"Ariel please come with me; you will be safe I promise you that" Sid pleaded.

　　Before she had a chance to respond loud snarls came from behind where William was standing, my warriors were here and now I will get what I wanted. Jake instinctively stepped in front of Angel; it was clear he would rather die before any harm befalling her. If that's what he would wish for then I would gladly oblige him.

　　"Stand down" William shouted as the wolves stalked closer.

　　I could feel him trying to use his alpha aura on them, but little did he know they had already been given an alphas order. My order to not back down. Watching as they continued to close in on William and the others, a wicked smile plastered itself onto my face. Had this been how he thought he was going to turn the tide he was wrong. Seeing William become frustrated at his order not being acknowledged made me feel warm and tingly, that was until he shifted into Maximus.

　　As Maximus took control, he growled at the wolves that remained in front of him, they were getting ready to attack. Mind-linking the group I told them not to stop until Maximus was dead. With that they launched at him each tearing into his black fur. Out of nowhere Angel rushed forward and screamed for her father. There was no doubt she was strong; I could feel Angel's fear for Maximus's life as Jake held her back preventing her from intervening. Henrik stepped forward and with a wave of his arm had knocked aside three of my pack warriors letting Maximus gain a chance of winning against them. Getting back onto all fours Maximus's eyes began to glow a brighter shade of red, something I had never seen happen before. I let go of Ariels shoulder and grabbed onto my ears while falling to my knees as Maximus let out an ear-piercing howl. Suddenly everything had gone quiet, and my warriors laid unconscious on the ground, yet they were still alive.

　　"Surrender you bastard. Do the right thing for once in your life. Stand trial for your crimes and take your punishment like a f**king man" Benson shouted.

　　Letting Blake take control we shifted. Blake was furious, he was practically foaming at the mouth. Here in front of him was the wolf that had taken our mate away from him. Being as we shared a mind; I knew what he was planning. I had already killed his mate so now we would end the life of his daughter as payback for Crystal.

　　Jakes POV

　　The moment the royal pack warriors showed up Hunter growled in my head, he was ready for a fight and these wolves would be worthy opponents. I was snapped back to my surroundings by the sound of breaking bones, only to realise Jason had shifted.

　　"We need to shift! Protect our mate" Hunter spoke his voice full of desperation.

　　"Calm down she will be fine. Blaze is focused on William look" I tell him while he walks around anxiously in my head.

　　Blaze was growling with pure hatred towards Maximus, foaming at the mouth while he tried to stare him down. Suddenly he turned on his paws heading for Angel who had her back to him.

　　"Shit" I muttered as Hunter forced the shift not giving me a choice.

　　Shifting had taken all of three seconds as it had become quicker ever since our wolves became one. Hunter intercepted Jason each wolf snapping at one another trying to gain the upper hand. Out of nowhere Ariel's wolf jumped onto my back flattening Hunter to the floor. Just as she was about to bite into him Star tackled her to the ground, standing over her and asserting her dominance over her. I could feel Star using the full strength of her Luna aura, magnified by being back at the Royal Kingdom, the root of her bloodline.

　　"STAR…. Please stop! Don't hurt her I beg you too stop" Sid screamed as he fell to the floor. He couldn't physically stop Star as she was his Luna and as he took the blood oath at her Luna ceremony he would die as a result.

　　Hunter let out a whimper as Blake threw him into the wall. As he struggled to regain his balance I felt Angel's fear, she was scared this would be it and for a second so did I. Rita's silver wolf luckily came to our rescue just as Blake grabbed Hunter at the throat. Rita came up behind him sinking her canines into his ribs. I let out a sight of relief as Blakes grip on Hunter's throat loosened. Hunter knocking him over as the poisonous venom from Rita's canines forced him to shift back into his human form, the same black veins covering his now limp naked body that fell to the ground with a thud.

　　As the light faded from Jason's eyes and his heart stopped the room went deathly quiet, all except for the scream of loss that came from Ariel.

　　"You did this! You killed him" Ariel had shifted back and lunged for Rita who had also shifted back.

　　"Please Ariel calm down" Sid whispered in her ear as he pulled her away from Rita restraining her in the process.

　　"Get the f*ck off me" she spat at Sid.

　　"Babe please, let me be there for you, let me comfort you. He can't hurt you anymore" Sid pleaded with her.

　　"Don't you dare 'babe' me. He was my father no matter what he had done he deserved better. MUCH BETTER. You are NOT my mate" Ariel screamed in Sid's face before turning t walk away.

　　"Please don't say that. The moon goddess mated us together for a reason you know she did. Give me a chance to show you I'm not the bad guy you think I am" Sid grabbed her arm tears filling his eyes at the thought of being rejected.

　　"I Ariel Wright reject you Sid as my mate"
