Chapter 65

  Vladamirs POV

Everything we had been preparing for was finally falling into place and soon I would get what I wanted. Originally my plan began with the death of Jason for the pain he had once inflicted on Jules but imagine my surprise when I found out that not only were William alive but that he and his mate had already killed him. As good as it felt knowing I wouldn't have to waste already precious time removing him from the playing field I now needed to worry about William and his pesky offspring. Princess Angel, a she-wolf born to a special bloodline one that would produce powerful pups of her own according to prophecy. Pups that I could drain of power to finally allow myself to become truly immortal. I would once again be able to feel the heat of the sun on my skin something I hadn't felt in centuries, yet I would remain a pure-blooded vampire. As proud as I was to have created the hybrids that were sired to me and my love, I needed a permanent solution for myself. Becoming a hybrid wasn't an option as I had no wolf DNA within me, not that I would taint myself anyway.

I was but a mere child when I became a vampire, my father was a vampire who impregnated my human mother turning her whilst I remained in her womb, a tradition that was important amongst our kind. I however was born human but turned on my fifth birthday, the day my own changing ceremony took place. Some became vampires while inside their mothers while others like me simply didn't. As a human born child the other children would avoid us deeming us unfit to associate with until we were like them. Something I held against them making them my first targets once I took over from my father at twenty-one.

After being contacted by one of the wolf elders that were on my payroll I learned of Angels pregnancy, something inside me caused me to burst with joy. I would be one step closer to achieving everything by obtaining her before the pup was born. The fact she was currently unaware that a pup was growing within her made her an easier target. Though I still needed to get Angel away from the bloody alpha mate of hers. Alpha Jake, he was the Alpha that everyone feared no matter what species you belonged to, he was responsible for the killings of several vampires, humans, and even other wolf packs. A man known for being violent and not sparing anyone for anything less than his own desire. He however was aware of his new pup; Williams new second chance mate was a silver wolf a moon protector. A breed thought to have been extinct. For I myself murdered the last one recorded just shy of sixty years ago while taking care of business in France. This she-wolf Rita had told Jake about the pup something he struggled to come to terms with. Hesitant to believe her, something I prayed he would remain. If he didn't believe her than he wouldn't feel the need to be by his mates side every moment of the day, leaving her unprotected. Alpha wolfs were possessive and protective as it were, the last thing I needed was pregnancy making him worse. Though I had the one thing that would gain me an advantage. The one-person Angel loved and wished to return since the day they found her. Marie was to be my wild card. I would use her as leverage if it came to it. Though with her now sired to me she would surely give us the advantage against the wolves, something we was sure to need. Her experience in the world of fighting was incredible something most she-wolves were incapable of. She was light on her feet and held speed on her side, Marie moved as natural as a wave moving through water.

"Sir I have received some rather unsettling intelligence. It would appear that the royal Pack of mutts have upped their Kingdoms defences. It seems as though they suspect an attack and are preparing their territory" Sebastien spoke loudly as he entered the room pulling me from thoughts that had me excited, something I would need Jules to take care of.

"Let them prepare, it will make beating them all the more satisfying. Has the girl changed her mind?" I ask while gesturing for him to take a seat.

"No sir, and I fear she won't. She is a stubborn little thing. The bitch even attempted to bite me after shifting this morning. We had to knock her out with a sedative and secure her with silver" he replied whilst pouring himself a scotch from the bottle on my desk.

"Does Jules know?" I asked while rubbing circles on my temples. This girl was giving me a headache and I was fast trying to think of a way just to kill her and tell her mother she escaped. Secretly I hoped this so-called mate bond she felt would prevent her from interfering if I chose to end her daughter's life.

"She does though I must admit she isn't happy in the slightest. She wants you to just turn her into a hybrid so she at the very least can be controlled"

"No, I want her to either be a vampire or a dead wolf. Perhaps if we find this mate of hers, we can force her to change her mind. Ariel has been shouting about him looking for her so let's use him. Send some scouts to find him. If it's easy enough then bring him here if not… kill him and bring me back his head. I will break her if it's the last thing I do" I was now pissed off my excitement was leaving me and now I would need to work out my frustrations.

Bowing his head Sebastien left the room a smile spread across his face, he hated wolves maybe more than myself, his wife and child had been killed while hunting one night by a rogue wolf. He had never forgiven himself for not going with them. Ever since that night Sebastien never queried an order to kill a wolf, he was happy to oblige in their destruction. There was no chance I was going to let Ariel delay my plans, so I summoned my guard. We would be attacking, and they would die.

"Alert the men, we will be leaving at sunset tomorrow, I want the kingdom wiped out by the morning. Send the hybrids at mornings first light, they will get a head start and can keep watch. William won't be expecting them"

  Angels POV

"What are you saying? Alice was a wolf. There is no way in hell that she was a vampire or even held any vampire DNA for that matter. I don't know where you got your doctors degree from, but I think you need to re f**king study" I was fuming, Dr. Jones had asked one of her colleges to do the postmortem on Alice only for them to proceed to tell me she died due to her body rejecting her own DNA.

"Luna, I know your upset but please calm down. This is a hospital, and I am the chief resident of the establishment. I have done what has been asked and do not take lightly to your attitude. You can ask for a second opinion all you like but the results will remain the sa…" I cut him off by grabbing his throat and squeezing as I pushed him against the wall.

"Let me tell you this" I whispered in his ear as I lowered my face to his squeezing tighter to ensure I had his full attention. "Alice was this packs Beta Female; she was one of the Alphas best friends and she was a mother. She didn't deserve to have her life taken away like this. You will show her some god damn respect. Now I want a vile of the DNA you extracted, and I want everything you have. If I find just one note about this on your computer or written down, I will have you banished. Do you understand me?" I spat while dropping him to his feet.

"Ye..yes Luna. Give me ten minutes and I will have everything for you"

I watched as Dr. Lindo scurried round the corner and into his office. The Moonlight Pack owed it to Alice to respect her memory. Megan didn't need to grow up hearing some made up shitty stories about her mum. I had informed Jake that the doctor was taking his sweet time with the results, he thought that the doctor maybe just wanted to give us as accurate information as possible but what rubbish that was. Lately I had been incredibly angry one minute then happy and chilled out the second, Rose had tried to tell me I was just stressed and depressed that I should step down as Luna until my mental health was back on track. Well, that conversation ended abruptly when I told her ton shove her opinion up her arse. I know she called Jake and cried to him about how badly I was handling things as ever since then she has been nothing but nice to me. The fakeness was driving me up the wall and when I asked what was said they both refused to tell me.

"Here Luna Angel, this is everything I have on Beta Alice. Let me please apologize for my lack of experience when it comes to cross checking DNA. Though I believe my tests to have been accurate and the results to be the truth, I leave it now with you. Oh, and Luna, because of the results you should know I have already sent a copy of my findings over to the wolf embassy. If there is the slightest chance that her child contains vampire DNA the elders will need to know." Dr. Lindo pushed an envelope into my chest as he turned and walked away.

"That idiot doesn't know what he is talking about, but we should let Jake or dad know about him sending his work to the embassy. You know as well as I that if they suspect Megan to contain that DNA then they will have her locked away" Star was right, Benson had already lost his mate we couldn't let him lose his daughter too.
