Angels POV　　

　　My heart was overwhelmed with the love I felt for my beautiful pups, never in my life did I imagine I could love anything this much. They were absolutely perfect they both had olive skin and blue eyes. The older pup had a few blonde ringlets on the top of her head while the younger pup had short jet-black hair matching her father. Jake was as besotted with them as me, when it became time for the nurse to do their post birth checks Jake didn't want to put the pup down.

　　Benson, Sid and Ariel had been in to see us and I'm pretty sure Ariel left broody as hell. They had asked us what names we had in mind but if I was being honest, I had only thought of one, Vanessa after my mum. The woman that gave birth to me and died protecting me. Jake chose the name for our younger pup, Athena the name of a Greek goddess. He said it was fitting for her due to the power of my own grandmother the moon goddess that resides in her veins.

　　"You ready to go babe? Bensons just pulled up" Jakes husky voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

　　"I'm ready, I just can't believe they are here. Athena slept all night but Vanessa, she has only just gone to sleep I'm scared to move her in case she wakes"

　　"Angel she will be fine, you know pups tend to sleep when in the car. Just look at Megan"

　　Deep down I knew Jake was right, but I was worried I would mess this up. I couldn't keep a goldfish alive before I met him so how was I going to be a good mum. As far as I was concerned the longer we stayed here in the hospital, there was always someone keeping an eye; the maternity nurses wouldn't let me fail.

　　"Your heart is pure Angel and between the bones we share with Jake as well as the love we hold for our pups, you can do this. I believe in you so it's about time you believe in yourself. Push all those negative thoughts you have swirling around up here away and banish them for good. You have got this I get it seems scary but if you become overwhelmed don't feel ashamed to ask for help" Stars voice was a welcome comfort in my moment of worry.　　

　　Listening to what Star said i knew she right, I had so many loved ones around me and I knew if I needed the help they would there in a heartbeat without judgement. I picked up Athena and strapped her fragile little body into her car seat. The moment she was secured Jake picked both seats up and we made our way to the car. Both girls were dressed in cream baby grows so not to give away their gender before tonight's announcement. The journey back to the pack house took longer than it should have because I threatened Benson which had Jake in fits of laughter. I told him if we went to fast and had an accident or even over a bump in the road to quick and woke my pups, I'd rip him to shreds so to please me he kept to 20mph.

　　"So, I'm afraid the word has gotten out that the pups have been born I think Rose got excited and blurted it out. However, their gender remains a secret" Benson was so quiet when he spoke it was almost a whisper to which I appreciated.

　　When we pulled up, I hadn't even gotten out of the car before my door was flung open and Rose pulled me out and into a hug as she congratulated me. Jake took the car seats out of the car and into the pack house so we could prepare to introduce them to our pack. As we made our way up to the alpha suite, we passed several omegas that worked here as cleaners and each one gasped as they saw the pups followed by whispered conversations about how adorable they were and a few comments as to why they weren't in pink or blue.

　　"Oh my goddess they are beautiful, it's like you each have your own little mini me except yours doesn't have a winky Jake" Rose chuckled as she rocked Vanessa whilst i fed Athena once we reached the privacy of our suite.

　　At first, I was embarrassed at the thought of breastfeeding in front of Jakes mum that was until she reminded me nudity was normal amongst our kind. Not to mention it was helpful that she herself had breastfed as I had trouble getting Athena to latch at first.

　　Jake had been mind linking me every half hour after we arrived home as he had an important issue to attend to. He was struggling with being away from our new bundles which made me wonder how I would ever leave them. Having gotten both pups settled my head spaced out causing me to feel dizzy before feeling a familiar presence forced a connection.

　　"Congratulations Angel are you all ok?"

　　"Hi dad, I wanted to surprise you. How did you find out?"

　　"It's a gift the Alpha King possesses. We can feel when a wolf spirt has been born"

　　"Really I didn't know that" I asked shocked having never in my life heard of such a gift.

　　"No not really Jake called" he laughed in response. "So how are my granddaughters? Beautiful like their mother I bet"

　　"Aww dad you're going to make me cry again, goddess I thought my hormones were supposed to settle down now they're here ha ha. Well Athena is the youngest, she has jet black hair and blue eyes whilst Vanessa has a couple of golden curls with a matching set of blue eyes"

　　"Vanessa… oh Angel I don't know what to say" my dad went quiet for a few minutes but through the bond I could feel his heart sore with pride at the knowledge that one of my pups had been named after my mum. "She would be proud of you; you know that right?"

　　"I know dad, I just wanted to have a piece of her with me every day. I never thought loving someone more than Jake was possible"

　　"Well I wouldn't let him hear you say that, wouldn't want to damage the ego of an alpha ha ha. Well, I just wanted to congratulate you so now I have I will let you get back to the pups"

　　"Thanks dad, do me a favour? Could you please get the others together tonight so we can connect you to watch the birth announcement?"

　　"Of course Angel, I look forward to it now go and see to my granddaughters. I love you"

　　"I love you to dad" After closing the link between myself and my dad I just laid on my bed staring at the two little faces in the cot beside me as I drifted off joining them in a peaceful sleep.

　　Jakes POV　　

　　"What do you mean his execution didn't go as planned?" I was on a call with William, I wanted to know that Wayne had been dealt with and to inform him of the new arrivals.

　　"Well two lives have been taken. Because of the seriousness of his crimes our law states the Alpha King is to execute the traitor publicly in front of his peers it's an ancient way of drawing out those working alongside them. I did just that however his mate retaliated. After an extensive interrogation it would appear that they were in on it together, not only that but her pups aren't actually Wayne's. They belonged to Jason's beta. It would appear he enjoyed assaulting woman using the full force of his beta command to take advantage, something I'm glad now in death he's no longer able to do"

　　"Fucking hell, nevertheless as long as they have been dealt with. Last thing we needed was for us to bring the pups along next week for the wedding and something happen"

　　"Pups? They've been born?"

　　"Ah shit sorry William that's the main reason I called you. Angel went into labour early, but they are all doing great. I know Angel is nervous about being a mum and thought you could surprise her"

　　"Say no more I'll mind link her once we are finished here. I'm assuming with their arrival you will be bringing extra security on Monday"

　　"Yes I plan on bringing our head guard along with the top five warriors, I know you have your own in the kingdom but I would feel more comfortable having our own there along side them. I know for a fact they would die before allowing harm to come to their Luna and future leaders"

　　After speaking with William, I went to the dining hall to grab some food that Sally one of the omegas had packed up for me. She gave me four containers making it easier to get back to my suite. When I walked in for a second, I thought something was wrong as it was dead silent, that was until I heard the small snores from Angel coming from the bedroom. I walked into the bedroom and sure enough Angel was out cold, she must have been knackered as she did say Vanessa was up all night. Taking the brake off the cot I wheeled them into the lounge with me letting Angel get some well-deserved rest.

　　"Babe the pack is waiting what are doing in there" The pups birth announcement was in ten minutes, but Angel had locked herself and the pups in the room.

　　"I don't want to take them out there. What if someone tries to hurt them or…"

　　"Do not go down that road Angel. They couldn't be any safer than they are you know that now stop this and open the door before I break it down" I cut Angel off before she had a chance to finish her sentence. I knew she was nervous because of the prophecy stating the power the pups would possess and she was worried that someone would hurt or take them for that reason.

　　Eventually Angel opened the door allowing me inside. I stopped in my tracks when I saw her, she looked stunning. She wore a flowing knee lengthy white dress, and the girls were dressed in matching velour pink baby suits that had frills around the edges of the sleeves. I pulled Angel to me kissing the top of her head and letting our contact soothe away any fears she held.

　　With each of us holding a pup we made our way to the stage that had been set up outside, the birth of an Alphas pup was a big thing and because there was two it was to be an even bigger affair. Benson and Sid greeted us at the edge of the stage before following us onto it.

　　"Hello members of the Moonlight Pack. I'm sure your all aware that your Luna recently went into labour and gave birth to two health pups. Let us introduce you to your future leaders. Our daughters Vanessa and Athena Anderson" the crowd erupted into cheers of happiness as they celebrated the pup's arrival.　　

　　As we exited the stage, we made our way around the pack members introducing the pups to each of them individually, this was something we did as a sign of respect for our pack. The music soon began as people began dancing and others eating from the buffet that had been put together. When the moon was at its highest the pack would shift in front of their new leaders before running the parameter of the territory a tradition that went back as far I could remember.

　　Once the pack run had been done, we said our goodbyes as we retired for the night to settle our now very awake pups. I couldn't possibly be any prouder of the family Angel and I created if I tried, I swore then and there that I would move heaven and hell if it meant giving my girls the world.
