Angels POV　　

　　"If there's anybody here this afternoon who's feeling nervous, apprehensive and queasy at the thought of what lies ahead, it's probably because you've just married the groom" everyone began to laugh as Benson started his best man's speech. "No seriously Angel I'm so glad you two found each other, I mean had you not come along we would have been stuck with a rude, bad tempered, bully of an Alpha and let's face it no one wants one of them. You have honestly done what I didn't think was possible. You tamed him and his wolf, made him an honest man and because you know how much you love him and me you will make sure I'm still breathing when I'm done" Benson literally had the guests along with Jake and I in stitches, my face and tummy hurt from all the laughing. "Angel is a good kind-hearted woman and as a Luna she's done more for the pack than I ever thought possible. So having said that there's no doubt she deserves a good husband so Jake thank your lucky stars she married you before she was able to find him. Well judging by the looks I'm now getting I better wrap this up. Jake and Angel, I wish you a lifetime of happiness and I think I speak for everyone here when I say that we wish you all the luck in the world, Jake, I love you bro but let's face it being married to you she's going to need it. Angel I literally owe you everything for what you have given me back so Jake make sure your fucking good to her. Congratulations guys I love you both" Benson had done an amazing job I went from laughing to crying just like that.

　　"You've made me cry, I've got panda eyes now but we love you too" I told Benson as I stood from my seat at the top table and pulled him into a hug.

　　"Thanks man but don't think Angel can save you this time" Jake laughed as he and Benson embraced each other in one of their bro hugs.

　　As the guests applauded Benson for his speech Jake and I headed to the dance floor for our first dance as husband and wife. We decided to have the food before the speeches to give us time to digest it. As we reached the edge of the dance floor Just the way you are by Bruno Mars began to play. Jake took me by the hand and led me onto the dance floor, the familiar feeling of sparks rushing over me causing my heart to flutter. We danced hand in hand as the song played away in the background though I hadn't heard any of the words as I was totally lost in Jakes eyes as we moved.

　　The whole evening, I felt relaxed and enjoyed every second of it. I danced my arse off all night long only stopping when my feet began to hurt and I couldn't stand any longer. The twins spent the night with Rita and my dad so Jake and I could do what every new married couple does and consummate our marriage. Jake and I have had sex way too many times to count but something about this time felt different, it felt better.

　　"I love you so much Mrs Anderson" Jake spoke as he placed kisses along my neck.

　　"I love you too Mr Anderson" I chuckled as he tickled me with how gentle he was being whilst fighting back a yawn.

　　Just when I thought we'd had our fill Jake surprised me by wanting to go again. I was to worn out to fight him so I let him have his way with me. He was a true gentleman; he was considerate to how I was feeling and did all the work. After we had gone for a final time and cleaned ourselves up, Jake and I cuddled up and drifted off into the best damn sleep I'd ever had.

　　Time seemed to just fly by because today we were celebrating the twins fifth birthdays. Jake, Benson and Sid were out in the garden of our pack house starting the BBQ while Alice, Ariel and I made our way outside with all the food. Alice and Benson didn't waste any time in remarking each other and had even got married themselves a year later. To our surprise she announced they were expecting another pup after finding out this one was a boy none of us could be happier for them. Ariel felt left out for a while when Alice returned but they quickly became friends and now all three of us are inseparable.

　　Vanessa and Athena like all siblings had their little squabbles but they never lasted longer than five minutes. They were incredibly close, and I prayed they would remain that way.

　　"Babe stop daydreaming I need them burgers" Jake shouted as he stretched his arm out waiting to take the burgers.

　　"Hmm sorry I was watching the girls; Vanessa levitated Athena and dropped the poor girl again" 　　

　　Vanessa came into her gifts three weeks ago, but Athena unfortunately didn't. She cried all day because her sister was showing off and she couldn't do the same. Jake explained to her the best he could that hers would come and that they would be worth the wait, however a four year doesn't want to wait they want it there and then.

　　The girls screamed at the top of their lungs as the pups from our pack we had invited ran into the garden. They had been looking forward to their party all week. The guys did an amazing job with the BBQ the food was delicious. When it became time to sing happy birthday Alice and Ariel rounded up the pups while I put the candles on their cakes.

　　"Angel I can't find Athena anywhere" Alice's worried voice filled my mind, which even to this day I never once regretted what I gave up. Having her back was indeed the best gift I could have gotten for when it came to choose between Alice and my gifts I can whole heartedly say there was no contest.

　　"Have you checked in the treehouse?"

　　"Yep not there"

　　"Gimme a second and I'll find her" I knew all of Athena's hiding spots so it wouldn't take me long.

　　I found Athena under her bed. Her eyes were all puffy and her nose was running as she sobbed her little heart out. Carefully pulling her out I pulled her to my chest and kissed the top of her head. She looked up at me with her beautiful blue eyes which were more prominent due to her crying.

　　"Am I a freak?" She sobbed through her crying and heavy breathing. How could she possibly think that? She was the most sensitive and lovable little girl in existence.

　　"Baby why would you ask that. Has someone said something to you?" My heart was hurting at the thought of Athena believing such rubbish.

　　"Vanessa and her friends said I was a freak. Vanessa said I wasn't as special as her that's why she has powers and not me" I loved both my girls, but Vanessa could be rotten sometimes.　　

　　"Athena baby look at me. Listen to me carefully. You are not a freak and you are just as special as your sister. Please do not ever think you are anything less than amazing. I mean it baby. I love you" I gave her a squeeze before standing with her in my arms and carrying her back outside so we could sing happy birthday.

　　"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Vanessa and Athena, happy birthday to you" everyone sang to the girls and the smiles on their faces made my heart melt.

　　Once the party was over and the last of the guests had gone the omegas that worked within the pack house came out to help us clean up. One thing I was adamant about was that I wouldn't ask an omega nor anyone to do something I wasn't willing to do myself. The moment we were finished I took the girls up for their baths before putting them to bed.

　　"Did you girls have fun today?" I asked them as I helped them out of the bath.

　　"Best day EVER" Vanessa screamed at the top of her lungs.

　　"Good I'm glad, though hunny why were you mean to your sister? You know it's not nice to pick on someone"

　　"Who picked on who?" Jake asked as he appeared in the doorway.

　　"Vanessa Anderson do not ignore me" she dropped her eyes to the floor the moment her full name came out.

　　"It's not my fault she doesn't have magic" 　　

　　"Vanessa you are both going to be very gifted girls.. You are the older sister, your meant to look after each other not pick on one another. Athena is just a late bloomer that's all. But mark my works young lady if you carry on I will contact your great grandmother and I will ask her to take your magic away" I tried to keep my voice stern a task that was way more difficult than it should have been.

　　Things seemed to be better between the twins for a while after that night. If someone said something about Athena, Vanessa was quick to defend her. Well at least when I or her father were around though Athena hadn't told us otherwise. As the years continued to pass us, I began to worry for Athena, she still hadn't received her gifts causing her to step further into the darkness that threatened to become her. Jake became concerned as the girl's relationship also began to break a piece turning to dust as each day went by. He began to notice the changes in their behaviour as each of them tried to outdo the other. Vanessa though always managing to steal what limelight Athena had with the use of her powers as she began to master each one. Athena only seemed to show her emotions to one person, that being Benson and Alice's son Hector. It was obvious to anyone that knew them that they had feelings for each other regardless of the age gap between them. Secretly I had hoped he would be her mate. Hector was a good boy; he was raised right and not one person had a bad word to say about him. I had hoped if anyone could pull Athena out of the dark place she had fallen into bringing her back into the light it would be him. His older sister Megan however had become one of Athena's biggest tormentors she was also Vanessa's best friend.

　　Their sixteenth birthday wasn't far off, I hoped and prayed every night that when the day came, and their wolves arrived that Athena would finally be at peace with herself. But until that day comes as her parents, we would do all we could to keep the darkness from swallowing her whole.
