Elijah P.O.V.

　　Hour later...

　　I started walking away from the lake house. I started walking up the steep stairs going up the hill to the cabin. I took two steps at a time and once I got on the top. I climbed more stairs to go inside the cabin.

　　Once I was inside, I walked over to the liquor cabinet. I got out whisky and bourbon I started grabbing a glass up in the cabinet and I got a shot glass down too.

　　I picked up the whisky and pour it into the shot glass. I tip it back and I pour another one, and I keep making shots until there was no more Whisky.

　　After that was gone, I started pouring bourbon in a tall glass and I bent my arm and picked up the glass and I started taking drinks. Once the bottle was gone. I started feeling numb and good. I kept on drinking until that bottle was gone.

　　Now, I am trash and drunk, and numb. I feel no emotion or pain, or anything right now. That is what I wanted right now.

　　To feel nothing for a day. But I know tomorrow comes around. It's not going to be good, because of hangovers and pain from drinking so much. I am going to regret it tomorrow but at least I am not feeling anything right now. I can’t think about Avery's disappointed expression on her face. I hurt her; I know I hurt my mate. I am always screwing up when it becomes with Avery. I can’t take any more hurting my mate. I wish I never made that stupid bet; I know I said it so many times in my head. I don’t and do regret it. Because if I didn’t make that bet, I wouldn’t be able to get my time to know Avery, the real Avery Williams. But then I regret it because once she finds out what I did and Andrew, and Matthew did. She will never forgive us and then she going to reject us. I don’t know what I would do if she rejected me? It will kill me, literally. I will die.

　　I shook my head, and I struggle over to the other side of the room. Once I try five times to walk over to the other side of the room. Once I got to my destiny I sit down on the big comfy chair by the window. I can see the sky getting darker. I guess I have been here for a while. That was when I felt my phone buzzed and I looked down at my hand where I dragged my phone out of my pocket. I saw it said seven-thirty o’clock and it was the even. On my phone, I saw a lot of messages and missed calls on my phone.

　　I see my mate trying to get of holding me. I see a couple from my friends Eli, Jayson, Jake, Matthew, Andrew, and some from my parents.

　　I open up to my parents first.

　　Mom and Dad- Elijah, son text or call us okay we love you.

　　Jake – dude what up with that leaving Avery like that! Not cool man. Call or text me. I am going to take Avery home.

　　Andrew- You’re fucking dick!

　　I love you too Andrew I chuckled under my breath.

　　Matthew- Dude that wasn’t cool man, leaving her. Don’t worry. I am going to keep her safe, he said with a winky emoji

　　Eli- Are you, okay bro.

　　Jayson- Dude, if you keep doing that I am never going to get her to like me?

　　So stop hurting her cousin!

　　Huh, Jayson never wrote me that before?

　　Jayson- Oh, yeah, I forgot to ask. Are you okay?

　　I need to tell my parents I am okay, and I am staying at the cabin we built.

　　I text my mom and dad.

　　Me- I am fine, I am staying at the cabin, and I love you guys talk to you tomorrow. I am crushing soon.

　　Mom and Dad- Okay son, be good and we love you too, good night.

　　I wrote in a group chat with my boys.

　　Me-I am fine, talk to you later tomorrow.

　　Jake- okay talk to you tomorrow.

　　Eli- okay see yeah later bro!

　　Andrew- you are still a dick but okay talk to you later.

　　Matthew- stop hurting her asshole or I am going to beat your ass.

　　Jayson- haha Matthew going to beat your ass lol. See yeah later cuz.

　　I rolled my eyes I left the chat group and that was when I saw another message.

　　Avery wrote me and called me.

　　First, I wanted to hear her voice mail.

　　Hey, umm, Elijah. I wanted to call you and see if your umm okay. I listened to her sweet little voice. I didn’t call her back, but I did she text me a lot.

　　I saw her texted me six times. Wow, someone wanted me I thought with a smirk and a grin on my face.

　　Avery- Where are you?

　　Avery- Please answer your text and calls?” Call me or text me back?

　　Avery- Elijah, whatever it is It's not that bad. Please talk to me. I felt that pain in my heart when she was trying to be brave. Even in a text message, she was depressed because of me. See, I am good not for her or anyone.

　　Avery- Please, you’re scaring me.

　　Avery- I know something is up, please talk to me.

　　Avery- Okay this is the last time I am texting and calling you. Elijah.

　　Goodbye!

　　After that I smiled because she was frustrated and mad, oh, is my firecracker pissed off.

　　So, I wrote her back.

　　Me- Hey, what’s the wrong mate. Someone misses me and wants my attitude. I wrote her with a wink emoji I started laughing.

　　I waited for her to write me back. By the time I was going to text her back.

　　That when I heard a ding on my phone I looked down.

　　Avery- No, I just wanted to know if you’re okay.

　　Me- Ohh, really is that all. If not, I could come over give you a ride. I took a pause and wrote on my face. I wrote with a smiling smirk emoji.

　　I can see her blushing on that. I know I am feeling hot, and I am getting a hard thing about Avery in her room. Wait a minute she is home, right? I thought.

　　Avery- Noo, I just wanted to know if you’re okay that’s all. I could see she is turning so red right now. I know I made her blush and turn on. But then I heard a ding again meaning she texts me back.

　　Me-Oh, so you don’t want me to come over huh. I wrote her. But then I got one text that changed everything.

　　Avery- Yes, I want you and I want you to come over Elijah. I bet her face is red and her little sexy body is turning hot.

　　Hot damn! I sobbed up quickly. I got off the chair and grabbed my keys and I ran down the stairs and walked to my truck and start the engine and spill out of the driveway and started driving to her house.
