Rhea's POV
It was early in the morning, the sun had risen and disappeared a hundred times now. Sitting at the edge of my bed I stare out of the window.
My life seems empty like my glass of wine that was full a few minutes ago, my whole world is spinning around me. I am confused and broken.
The absence of my wolf, the painful tragedy that suddenly befalls my late parents; I know that things could be a little easier assuming my parents were still alive. Tears roll down my cheeks as I stare out from the window, looking at the drops of water falling from the sky on how they suddenly vanish into the moist soil.
I wish that my pain could easily go away like that. In my mind, I kept wishing that I could skip some years and fast forward to when it gets better but as usual the reality is there to stare you in the face reminding you of your hidden pains.
What Lila said flashed through my mind, she wanted us to work things together for the betterment of the pack when she couldn't resist the urge of rubbing it in my front that she warms Kian's bed almost every damn night.
I was still in my thoughts when suddenly the door was pushed open and Mercy walked in.
"My Luna, breakfast is ready," she announced.
What's the point of always being left all alone at the huge lengthy table to eat alone? That's boring and am sick and tired of going out there all the goddamn time to sit there alone like a sh*t!
"Am not hungry," I instantly dismissed her with a wave of my right palm.
"Well, I am so sorry, Luna but Alpha Kian demands that everyone should be present," she said submissively with her head hanging low like the loyal servant that she is.
A smile curled up on my lips at the pieces of information, "Alpha Kian is there, he came," a smile threatening to break through my lips.
At least I am not going to be left all alone in the dining room but come to think about this, why did Kian summon the presence of everyone?
Pushing myself out of bed, I walked into the closet and slid into more comfortable clothes before walking out of the room with Mercy by my side.
I amble toward the dining room, I kept glazing my mind thoughtfully hoping to find the answer to his sudden gathering but my mind seems to have been piled up like a piece of trash.
Entering inside the dining room, all heads turn in my direction. Strange, I thought that it was just a family breakfast so tell me how come a lot of people were in here?
Swallowing and I allowed my blank face to slip in. Walking further inside the room, I went straight to the angry-looking Kian and greeted him.
"Good morning, my husband," I said smiling, trying to lay a bit of a claim, especially with Lila, and Fiona, his mistresses, and some other girls present.
But Kian's eyebrow deepened, anger flashing through his deep black eyes. He scowled, "Alpha Kian to you,"
I shut my eyes as I heard a gasp from our midst before it was now followed by a mockery laugh and some murmuring.
"I decide what to call my sweet husband," I flirtatiously winked at him before walking to my seat. The murmuring suddenly died down as they all turned to surprisingly gaze at me, including Kian.
If looks could kill, I am sure that I could be dead by now concerning the murderous look I was getting, especially from his two mistresses, Lila, and Fiona, our event planner as he called.
Kian's orbs brimmed together in irritation as he stared back at me.
Chuckling, I forced out a smile trying to smoothen the atmosphere a bit," This seems like a big gathering,"
Fiona's deadly stares were directed in my direction, but before my gaze could lock with that of hers, Kian's angry voice drew my attention.
"Why did you waste our time?" His eyes trail around the food on the table before they settle back on me looking conflicted and deadly.
"I noticed that you have grown wings, but trust me when I promise to break them off before you can use them to fly around," he disdainfully let out a snarl.
I clasped hold of my clothes under the table, curling my fists in anger... Here he is at it again, from the corner of my eyes I can see a smile break through Fiona and Lila's faces.
Some of our high-ranking members look back at me in nothing but pity and I so much hate getting that feeling.
"Can we all dig in!" Kian commands.
I picked up the caviar butter and applied them around the toasted bagel in my hands, my eyes flickered at the lobster scrambled eggs in the middle of the table.
Kian does love them, I noticed Fiona followed the direction of my gaze and before I could make a move she beat me to it.
"Here," smiling, she hands the plate of lobster scrambled eggs to Kian, who winks at her not minding that I am sitting right beside him.
"I know you will love them," she bats her long lashes flirtatiously at him, earning a wide smirk from him.
"Nope, I think I love something more," using his eyes he points at her legs and unexpectedly I spit off the drink that I was having at the table while coughing hard.
"WHAT THE...!" Lila groaned before shifting a bit away from me.
"Have you lost it?" Kian snapped, clearly looking irritated.
"Sorry," I apologized as Mercy hurried toward me and handed me a clean towel to clean my mouth while she wiped out the little mess that I just created.
The disgusting look that I kept receiving was enough to make me lose my appetite, though, on the other hand, I am glad that I was able to end their awful flirting since Kian couldn't accord me the respect that I deserve.
I focused on the food in front of me, ignoring their burning gaze and chit chats. However, after a few moments, we were all done with the food.
The omegas came in to clear the dishes, and Kian let out a cough commanding everyone's attention.
"I called everyone present at this moment because of an important issue," my heart thud hard as he glanced at me but I pulled on a long face.
I wonder what the important issue was all about that he has to look at me first. Is it another humiliation?
"We all have a big visitor coming and I need our cooperation," noises started arising as murmuring could be heard.
"King Daemon and other strong three packs will be here by tomorrow," my heart flipped excitedly at his words. Damon... I smiled within.
"We formed an alliance with them and since they accepted we have decided to throw a party and strengthen our bonds," he announced, earning a nod from everyone.
Turning to me, his sharp gaze pierced into mine, "You need to keep everything in check before tomorrow,"
"Tomorrow!" I gasped, how is that fucking possible
"You will have Lila and Fiona working with you at least Fiona is our event planner and can assist you well on this,"
The smile on my face suddenly died down, and my dull eyes glared at Kian. Obviously, she is your event planner not for me. So stopping tagging her 'our' for no one made her one.
"I need everything to be perfect,"
I locked my gaze with that of Fiona, who sat there as if she owned the place.
Can't believe that I will be working along with these two women, especially with Fiona.
Kian, why did you love humiliating me?!
