Rhea's POV
Today is the day of the full moon. Mercy came the other day to inform me about the big event and hopefully, I am praying for the Moon Goddess to allow me to meet my wolf. At least Kian will see something in me to be proud of.
As a Luna, it is a shame that I don't have a wolf, despite my physical strength but how did I intend to protect my kind in a battle without a buzzard? My family might have this trait of strong in our lineage but that power can fully manifest in one with the presence of their wolf.
Though I have gotten a report from one of Kian's warriors that the Alpha instructed that I shouldn't step out of my room today which is damn confusing and at the same time annoying. He should know that this is my only chance of finding my wolf, my other half if I truly want to be regarded as a true Luna in this pack. I need a damn fucking wolf, especially now that we have allied with the strongest packs in this werewolf realm.
At least I needed something to show off, for them to see that I am strong and not hurl me some pitiful looks.
The night is stretching out so fast, everyone seems happy as they all watched the sun slowly disappearing with darkness clouding the sky. The unmated seem to be the happiest among others; the lucky ones always find their mates today. I kept peeping at the sky from my window since I am not allowed to come outside.
The moon always comes out fully at the northern part of our pack and then slowly casts its reflection all over the pack and that is why the celebration is being held at the northern border of our pack and so bad I am not leaving closer to the place.
Sighing I decided to go back inside, closing my window I noticed two familiar figures standing at the far end away from the pack house. Stepping closer with curious strides, I stretched out my head forward, and surprisingly it was my husband and Bela Ember, the kitchen head maid.
They seemed so engaged in their discussion that they didn't notice that someone might be looking at them, Bela kept nodding concurrently as he kept instructing her to do something. I don't think that they have any sexual relationship together, my mind is telling me another thing_ whatever they are both discussing doesn't seem good, I have a strange feeling that I am the reason behind that serious conversation.
After something that seems like an eternity, Bela nodded at him one last time before suspiciously walking away. I saw her eyes kept going sideways to ensure that nobody was looking at them but before her gaze should fall on my open window. I suddenly stooped low, in a way that she shouldn't see me. A few minutes passed before I now stood up from my hiding spot but couldn't see any of them there again.
Closing my window, I went back to my bed and crawled inside my duvet shoving my thoughts behind me.
I guess that I might have slept off because I was woken up by a strong howl and scream from outside, my gaze fell on the wall clock in my room and I saw that it was already noon meaning that the full moon is out.
And just then I felt something stirred inside me, bulging to be set free. My whole body hurts, managing to hold the bed frame I trudged out from my bed and started striding outside not minding the strict warning from Kian.
At every damn step that I took outside, my heart throbbed hard as my breath got heavier. The thing inside me started pushing me toward the northern part of the pack, the closer we got the more excited my body gets.
I was a few inches away when I unexpectedly heard a loud growl from behind, my body trembling hard against the ground. Fear was imprinted on my face, I looked around and noticed that I had been surrounded by warriors. My fearful eyes anxiously lift up to meet those of my mate, Kian in front of me. His furious expression weakens me the more.
Under Kian's stony eye, I was grabbed roughly in both hands by the warriors. "Don't... don't you all dare, I am your Luna!!" I latched out, causing a smile to break through his lips.
My broken gaze refused to look away from Kian, "What is the meaning of this!!" I yelled but he remained unflinching.
"Why are you doing this?" I asked as I noticed him standing rooted to his spot when coldly glancing at me. "I am your mate," my voice came out as a whisper. "And your wife!!" The word left my lips and I noticed them shattered under his cold gaze pulling his lips in a smirk, I guess that doesn't matter to him.
"I gave you an instruction not to step out of your room but as usual you went against my words," he snapped with an icy stare. "Take her to the dungeon!" He commands harshly, I felt his words cut deeply through my heart where it hurts most.
But before the warriors could drag me away, strangely the full moon instead of its reflection slowly came out behind us. I saw Kian's face widen as well as the warriors... That is strange.
Swirling my head around, my eyes widened in shock before I felt a painful pang in my chest. My body shuddered under the moon pushing me to the ground. Curling my fists on the dirt earthly sand, I growled furiously with my gaze fixed on the sky directly focused on the moon.
I can feel changes in my body, something struggling to be free from my body. So painful that my mind was clouded by my painful howl that I couldn't hear any other thing, well except the angry and desperate scream from Kian.
"BELA EMBER!!" His desperate voice echoed through my ears, itching them.
"Ahhhh!!!" I suddenly howled to the moon as I felt my bone breaking. "What is going on?"
