Daemon's POV
"Fuck!!" My fist pounded on my desk, meeting the eyes of Sam who was sitting on the couch beside me.
"Fuck. Fuck!" I growled.
I kept pacing around my office in a circle while pulling on my hair in frustration. Leaning forward, Sam raised a brow, "You know since I entered here, you have been saying fuck... Fuck, what's wrong?"
"You know that you can still talk to me, bro,"
"Why is it hard to claim her?!" Sam's confusion deepened as he watched my face colored in rage.
"Claim who?" He asked, "Wait! Did you find your mate?" I can detect the joy in his voice.
"Yes," I mumbled, slowly turning to look at him.
"Wow!" He jumped up, giving me a brotherly hug. "I believe that calls for a celebration and not pulling on some stunt here," he taunts, stroking my shoulder but I remained on my spot anger eating me up within.
Noticing my expression, the smile slowly fades away. Clearing his throat, Sam furrowed his brow, "If I may ask... can I know who the girl in question is?"
"You already know her,"
"Already know who?" He stares at me like I just lost it.
Looking at him, I didn't bother masking my true feelings which were dreadful and filled with anger but nonetheless, I spoke up holding a frosty short smile. "Do you really want to know?"
"From the coldness laced through your voice, I have this strong feeling that whatever you are going to say is never going to be a good one but still I really want to know," I leveled my gaze to meet Sam, who just spoke before letting out a bitter laugh.
Nodding my head, I turned around and continued pacing around in a circle. "I find out that my mate is living under the same roof with a man as his wife,"
"What!!" He exclaimed loudly, surprised at what just left my lips.
"Yes, as his wife," I repeat. "And do you know who she is?" An evil smile crawled its way back to my lips.
"Who?" Sam grunted, unable to hide his anger and frustration.
"The Luna of the Blackwood Pack," I confessed, earning a sharp gape from him.
Sam creased his brow in confusion, taking a step back, "You can't possibly mean that," he doubted, his eyes round with shock.
"Is hard seeing her under the same roof with that brat," I cursed under my breath.
"But the girl in question is married and also mated to Kian,"
"Don't you dare!!" I furiously bang my fist on my desk again, my gaze ruthlessly falling on him. I barked, causing him to stiffen. A flash of rage stalked my eyes.
Sam tilted his head to the other side before his gaze fell on me after a few minutes of silence, "That is fine by me, but..." He paused. "Is that why you have always been on her case?"
"Yes," I nodded and plopped on the couch. "And you never intended to tell me,"
"Because you never gave me the reasons to," I remind him of his actions in case he has already forgotten.
"Fine, I thought that you have another motive for them and worried about you involving yourself with their personal affairs but still you were supposed to tell me,"
"Look, Sam, I am not here for all this," I hummed, though I managed to keep my voice neutral.
Signing, he took a seat opposite me, "This is still unbelievable because Kian claims that she is his and here you are laying claim on her as well,"
I narrowed my eyes, my anger on the verge of collapsing.
"What does it look like... Like I'm playing, right?"
He quirked a brow, his lips curling in a tight sad line, "I know when you are serious and this face right now shows that you meant every word that left your lips but the issue is not about the seriousness but what do we do?" He demanded, his gaze boring into mine for an answer.
I stamp my feet on the ground impatiently when rubbing my neck in frustration. I am starting to regret not claiming her right away, who cares about the mother fucking consequences?
"I am claiming what is mine!" I barked, stamping my feet hard on the floor.
"What!" Sam paled at my words and immediately shook his head, "Not in a violent way,"
"I don't care!" I snapped, "My woman is obviously lying in another man's arms and you sit down here telling me not in a violent way, huh!" I growled, veins popping through my neck.
"I have had enough excitement," I screeched, "I have had enough patient, ignoring them since the first day I find out until now,"
I am almost losing it, I don't know how long I can control my beast. "Tell me if I haven't tried!" I yelled, my voice going high and louder with each passing second.
"We need a plan, what could people say?" He added.
