Rhea's POV
With a lump in my throat, I managed to smile at her, "Mercy, I know but I believe that you know my condition, and besides Kian had me locked up so meeting the king is going to make him suspect that I might have sneaked out from my room," I said, giving her thousands of reasons why I shouldn't meet him.
"So what next?" She asked.
"Fine, go tell him that I am not around... That you're unable to find me anywhere around the pack,"
Not long after I had finished speaking, I heard a surprised voice that had me trembling from where I was standing. "Are you now teaching your maid how to lie?"
I gulped hard, "Dae... King Daemon," I stammered as Mercy stepped aside for him to walk in. Swallowing the big lump that has formed at my throat as I watched him stride forward with so much arrogance, his aura stretching out demanding submission.
I held onto my breath as I can feel my palms begin to sweat, his face has an expressionless mask on making it hard to read. Locking his gaze with mine, I felt his deep black almond eyes pulling me in more like he found me doing what I wasn't supposed to do. He doesn't look all happy but either way, I decided to remain firm and not show any sign of fear or let him know the effect his presence has on me.
"King Daemon, is nice to meet you," I gave him my fake smile, doing my best not to stutter.
"Please sit and make yourself comfortable," I pointed at the bench that I was sitting on a few minutes ago since there was no other chair around there.
He spared the chair a quick glance before refocusing his attention back on mine, "I am not here to sit," he suddenly declined with a bored tone.
I gulped, hurling a rueful smile to him, "So what do we have for this meeting today?" I asked, pushing my emotions at bay.
"I am here to claim my mate and drag her back to my pack where she truly belongs," he barks out every single syllable without his gaze leaving mine.
My attention instantly shifted to Mercy, who stood behind him. "Hmm..." I cleared my throat. "Mercy, please go and fetch some warm coffee for the King." I quickly dismissed her, ensuring she left before turning my gaze back to Daemon.
"What was that for?" I glared, gritting my teeth in the process after ensuring that Mercy had left.
"What?" His devilish smirk, not leaving mine. "Is it a bad thing to claim my mate?"
"I am not yours, my king," I objected, earning a menacing growl from him.
And just like a flash, I noticed him in front of me, his thumb slowly pushed down the hoodie cap to my neck. I felt a zap of electricity shoot from me down to my whole body, I stared up at him but he had a serious look on his face. His gaze is so focused on my skin, confusing me on what he was doing and instantly I swat his hands off me and stepped back a bit.
He growled at the loss of contact, his hardened gaze piercing through mine. "I am sorry, my King, I am married and it is not appropriate to touch a married woman in that manner," I resumed but was instantly cut off by a sharp growl.
I cowered back a bit before reading my balance. What a life I have, brutally treated by Kian and now I'm at the mercy of a Lycan king who I couldn't resist.
Still, in my thoughts, I felt a hand slide by my side, wrapping around my waist, and before I could react. He quickly smashed me to himself, earning a surprised gasp from me.
I raised a brow, fighting to free myself but he ignored my struggles and pulled me closer. Squishing me against his muscular body. I gasped as I noticed my front pressed against his very noticeable manhood, my heart instantly hammered as I could feel my leg tremble in pleasure.
I tried pulling away but his grip on me was tight as he took a whiff from my hair. "What are you doing, my King?" I asked, my voice coming out a little shaky but I noticed him smirking while sniffing my neck, his nose brushing my delicate skin.
"Trying to claim what is rightfully mine," he whispered huskily. My eyes snapped to his, but his gaze did not meet mine.
"King Daemon, please stop..." I began, but my words were immediately silenced by a low growl.
"I have warned you, just call me Daemon," he said, his face still buried in the crook of my neck. "Hate the fact that you have his mark... Mine was supposed to be there!" He barked and a shiver laced through my spine as his words awoke something within me.
Placing my hand on his chest, I quickly pushed him away, detaching myself from him. This is so wrong.
"Please, why are you here, King Daemon?"
My heart skipped as I heard the honking of a car from the other end signaling that Kian is back but still, that doesn't seem to stop Daemon from his next word.
"I'm here to claim what belongs to me,"
