CHAPTER 63 Ten Million Dollars

  Sheila's POV

Standing on the balcony of my room staring outside in thought, I heard a faint knock at the door. Surprisingly I tilted my neck in confusion, I wasn't expecting anyone. The knock came again, forcing me to drag my legs to the door in anger. I haven't been in my right mind since the incident and what I don't need right now is disturbance.

Pushing the door open, I wanted to yell to whoever the intruder was but however, my mouth got glued up as I locked eyes with Jerry.

"Hmmm," I forced up a smile to my lips, "You came," I shifted to the other side, making space for him to walk in.

He nodded at me before stepping inside, "I wasn't even expecting you today, well I guess you're good at your job," locking the door, I said before walking inside the room to have a seat.

"Sit," he nodded and sat down before passing the document in his hand over to me across the table.

"What's this for?" I inquired, collecting the files from him.

"Is about the research, everything that you need to know is all documented there,"

I smiled before staring back at him, "I will go through those files later but I need you to tell me who Rhea is and where is she from?"

Holding onto my gown damn tight, squeezing the fabric in fear. I just hope that it isn't that Luna.

Clearing his throat, Jerry gave me a long look before letting out a sigh, "Well..." He paused before continuing, "You already know the Rhea,"

  "What are you talking about?"

"According to the research, across the whole 100 packs in this world, there are only three Rheas," my heart thud heavily against my chest. Maybe another person, I just wished.

"One is from the Northern pack beside the Crescent mountain and she was just born yesterday night," I sighed at the information, Daemon can't possibly be mated to a child that just came in last night.

"And the other one is in Moonlight pack and around eight years old,"

My heart is now beating at his next information, I think I already know who the next person will be. This is my worst fear and it is about to become a reality.

"Well as we all know, Miss Sheila, the other one is the Luna of the...

"The Blackwood pack," I suddenly said, cutting him off. He sighed and nodded.

This is not right at all, that means she is the mate but how come? She already has a mate and also claimed to have been married to her supposed mate.

Lycans are always known to have only one mate in all their existence but having another person's mate has never been heard. Does this mean that she is now mated to two people; an Alpha and the realm king?

  Never! This is messed up...

"Are you alright?" Jerry asked, probably noticing the pale look on my face. I quickly shake off my thoughts and put on a fake smile that doesn't reach my eyes.

"I'm fine, just a bit surprised that only three people are bearing that name out of the whole hundred different packs," I lied, covering up with a fake laugh. He nods in return before standing up to leave.

  "Jerry,"

I could feel the sudden shift in the air as I stood up from the couch and walked toward him. The room was suddenly so quiet that you could think that there was nobody in there.

"Your mission is not yet done, you just begin to stop rushing out," he snaps his head as I halt in front of him.

"I need you to spy on King Daemon's every move and that of his beta Sam," his gaze widened at my words.

  "Why?"

"That's an order," I declared, my face hardened.

"But, Miss, I can't possibly start spying on my own King. He will have my head if he finds out," he complained.

"Then let him not catch you, you have to be smart and have your head in the game,"

"Sorry but I can't," he suddenly declined, earning a sharp snarl from me.

Turning to face him, my face colored in rage, "Your mom is terribly sick right and three million dollars is needed for her surgery," he stretches his neck nervously, surprised to find out that I know.

"I will be giving you ten million dollars, treat your mum and take the rest for you and her upkeep," with the force that his head snapped in my direction, you did think that it would break.

  "That is..."

"Since your whole years of working here and more years to come, I am damn sure that you will never get half of the money. So I will advise you to embrace the opportunity," I narrowed my eyes at him interrupting him. A dangerously smug plastered on my lips as I watched him contemplate within himself.

"But that's me breaking my loyalty with the king by spying on him, he will have my head if..."

"Your mother who is lying pitifully at home and the King, who is more important to you, besides it is not a hard job. The job just requires you to keep your head in the game, be focused, and bring me whatever information that you gather," I cut him off again, giving him more reasons to compile.

  "But Miss…"

"Enough, ten million dollars, or watch your mother die," I shut him off, my face turning cold.

Flinching back, he swallowed down his nervousness. I watch him brush his sweaty palms down his trousers before lifting his head to stare at me.

I just sat down on the couch acting unbothered, "Two more seconds to go," I said in the most terrifying manner ever.

He stiffed and I could hear the fast throbbing of his heart, the fear in his eyes but so bad I'm sure that he couldn't neglect the only chance of saving his mother.

"I will be your spy," I said every word with difficulty. I can see the pain in his eyes, curling his fists.

"False information will have your head, as well as your mother's head too," he shivered at the threat.

"So are you in?" I asked and he nodded in return.

"Fine," walking forward, I patted his shoulder before leaning forward. "Be focused, false information will have her head," I whispered.
