CHAPTER 79 Sheila...

  Rhea's POV

"Good morning, sleepy head," he said, jerking me out of my thoughts. I swallowed as I noticed his hand reach up, removing a strand of hair from my face while playing with the edges.

Patting my hair, he mumbled, "Willows are known for their long hairs, and the first day that I set my eyes on you. Your hair was long, so tell me what happened?" His voice was calm and smooth but I can detect the curiosity in them.

I wanted to say something but no words were rolling out from my lips, yes, he was right... Willows are known for their long hair which makes people think that their power resides there but little did they know that Willows are blessed naturally with strength but the presence of their wolves makes them more stronger.

  "I... Hmm, I don't know what you're talking about

The words had barely left my lips, when he inched closer, making my heart skip a bit. " Come here," he ordered in a deep soothing voice that sent shivers down my spine. I lay rigid on my spot staring straight at him as he reached closer and wrapped me around his huge arms.

My heart flipped at the sudden gesture, but he didn't move and continued to hold me wrapped around him. Our bodies pressed tight against each other, I can hear the fast beating of my heart and I am damn sure that he can hear them too.

I have never been hugged or held like this by the opposite gender apart from my father when he was still alive. But my troubled mind worsened as I noticed his hand moving from my waist, he brushed my hand slowly with the tip of his finger causing my body to tremble against his touch.

This is wrong but I couldn't seem to pull away, my body has a mind of its own... I was still in battle with myself when his hand stopped at the back of my head, he pushed my hair to the side before burying his face at the nape of my neck.

I tried to push him off when his voice came beside my ears, "Shh, relax, I'm not going to hurt you," his voice softened as he held me tight, pulling me to his hold. I loosen up after a while and relaxed into his touch. No words were said for a while, we both stood like that till the grumbling of my stomach pulled me back to my senses. I instantly jerk up, pushing him off me.

"What… are you doing? I'm a married woman, my king," I sense my body feeling cold at the sudden loss of body contact but still I preferred it that way to having him have his way with me.

His face hardened and his eyes turned cold at my words, sighing after giving me a distasteful look, "I think you're hungry, come down after freshen up for breakfast," he stood up and left the room.

I puffed out the breath that I was holding and relaxed back to the bed, what just happened? He hugged me... For what exactly? How on earth will he hug a married woman so sensually?

I think that I have to put an end to this, I need to freshen up and walk the fuck out from here. I don't think that I can resist this man for long if I in any way continue staying here.

However, after freshening up, I slid into one of the clothes that I saw in the wardrobe since I couldn't find the clothes I wore yesterday in the closet.

Climbing down the staircase toward the hallway, I ignored the grumbling of my stomach and decided to go back to my pack when I heard two voices; Daemon's voice and... I think a female voice also.

Curiosity and something else that I couldn't quite understand what it is got the best of me. I ambled closer while hiding behind the pillars in a way that they couldn't notice me.

"It has been a while, Daemon," I heard the flirtatious voice of a woman and my heart twisted. I held my breath and peeped a bit to see the person.

Sheila... My lips tasted bitter, I watched her in anger as she tried flirting with Daemon. I feel like murdering her instantly. Hey, get hold of yourself... I cautioned myself.

Daemon ignored her but she resumed with those irritating voices of hers, "I came to your office yesterday but according to Wilfred, you were not around," she patted her long lashes at him with a flirtatious smirk.

"What do you want, Sheila?" His voice was cold and filled with boredom.

"Ooh! About that," she swings her hips seductively and walks closer to Daemon who remained rooted to his spot. I tightened my grip on the pillar as I hurled her a dangerous gaze.

"I miss you, Daemon, and I believe that you miss me as well," she blurted shamelessly. My face scrunched in distaste as I stared down at her desperate self in disgust and suddenly my stomach grumbled. Fuck... I instantly held it and shrank back behind the pillar.

I heard Daemon clear his throat, "Thank you, Shelia, for missing me but you don't have to care for me,"

"Why?" She shamelessly blurts out. I giggled at her sudden rejection but the smile on my face was instantly wiped away by Daemon's next words.

"Because it is my mate's responsibility to do that," my heart throbbed, causing me to swallow the rest of the laugh.

"M... mate," she fluttered, sounding shocked.

"Yes, mate," he replied, "You came now come out from that pillar, dear mate,"

And at this very moment, I feel like the ground should open and swallow the whole of me. How did he know that I was here all this while? Fuck the Lycan senses!

I slowly stepped out from the pillar, I watched her face colored instantly in horror like she just saw a ghost. She wasn't expecting to see it, right? Well, I didn't even want to be here but that doesn't mean that I also want her around Daemon.
