Rhea's POV
I left Daemon's chamber heading down the hallway, luckily I didn't come with any luggage so my chances of sneaking out is high.
My heart wants it here but at times it is better to go with your brain, the only problem I have right now is how to escape. I have not stayed here for too long, and I haven't mastered the surroundings damn well.
What am I going to tell the guards out there that I am going out of the pack to do?
Think...Think... Think, Rhea! Quietly hitting my palms on my head I let out a frustrated growl. At the other far end of the hallway, I heard murmuring and whispering. Out of curiosity I swirled my head around and started striding toward the place.
Almost closer, my gaze widened in suspension as I hid behind the pillar. What is Kian doing here? And what is he doing with Sheila?
What are they talking about? I wanted to inch closer and evade their conversation but the two bitches nodded at each other and parted ways. I instantly turned around and hid behind the pillar. I hitched my breath with my eyes shut as I felt them walk away.
Scrambling out from the hiding spot, I wondered what might be going on with Kian and Sheila. I wonder what they were discussing, maybe he wants another mistress... Who knows?
But that's strange, Sheila is in love with Daemon just a mere thought of that leaves a lingering pain around my chest. So I don't think Kian has any chance but if it is not about that what will he possibly be discussing with her?
Anywhere not like it is any of my business... But again, why is he here?
With my thoughts drafted elsewhere, I bumped into someone. This time I just hope that it wasn't Lila.
Slowly lifting my head, I let out a sigh of relief as I noticed the person was in manly shoes and strangely I picked up a familiar scent.
"Daemon," I was startled.
"What are you doing here?"
"Shouldn't I be the one asking you that, what were you thinking? Because obviously, your mind wasn't here because I have been standing on this exact spot looking at you,"
"Then does that mean that you saw them," my voice was quick as I pointed at the other end where Kian and Sheila were standing not quite long ago, exaggerating with my hands?
Daemon arched his brow up at me, his forehead folded in confusion, "Saw who?"
"Them," I exaggerated with my two hands again, "I mean the two,"
He quickly turned his head before looking back at me, "Who am I supposed to see?"
I scowled at him, since he said he has been standing here looking at me then how come he didn't see Sheila and Kian?
"Did Kian come here?" I said, trying to put one or two together. If Kian came to this pack then that means that I saw him right now.
Daemon's face hardened at my question, "Were you expecting him?"
"This is just a harmless question!" I thundered, glaring at him.
He gave me a long look before worsening my confusion, "No," he barked out harshly.
I stepped back a bit, why so rude, and besides that was just a harmless question. He stood there staring down at me for a while before letting out a chuckle. "You shouldn't be patrolling out here alone,"
"What are you talking about?"
"It is no longer safe out here for you," I roll my eyes at him before cackling, "If I am to talk about safety... I will say that staying here with you is the most dangerous thing ever," his expression darkened.
Yes... Staying here with him is not safe for me. Do I even know how long I am going to continue to put up with him by resisting this heavenly drafted Greek god here?
I gulped, maintaining my gaze not wanting him to notice how I am flipping inside. Looking at me for a while his nasty smile slipped in, giving him a look of a demon.
"Couldn't resist me," he stepped forward, I so much wanted to wipe out that smug look on his face. "You wish," my eyes trail down his almost exposed abs that were hiding behind his white shirt despite the scowl look on my face.
"I didn't wish," leaning forward, I stilled as I felt his teeth slowly graze down my earlobe sensually. "I didn't wish but I know,"
My face turned pale that I couldn't even find my voice, he leans back grinning at my reaction but the next word that left my lips pulled him out of his trances, "I need to leave,"
However, his face turned solid and his eyes were so cold that they could break through frost. Nodding he stepped back from me, his eyes were hazy and I knew that he was mind-linking someone.
Tilting his head toward my direction, a dangerous smirk flashes in between his lips as up to ten men clothed in black fabric walk inside the hallway standing behind him.
Their faces were stoic and there was no atom of a smile on their faces, they stood on their spots like a statue. "Who... are they?" My voice wavered.
"Oh!..... They," he hurled me a triumphant smirk before his expression suddenly turned toxic, "I'm sorry to say this but from today onwards, these men here will be your personal guards_"
"WHAT!!"
"Anywhere you go, they follow instantly," I stood paralyzed on my spot. I just couldn't believe what I just heard, closing the distance between us. He leaned to whisper in my ears huskily, "You can't escape from me, dear mate,"
