Chapter 94 Trapped

  Mercy's POV

  "Wolf,"

I guess I wasn't the only one surprised to hear that Luna Rhea has a wolf. But she has lived almost her life thinking that she is wolfless, how could Kian be this heartless?

"I thought she doesn't have a wolf," Sheila's voice was calm though she stared at him with so much confusion.

"She has a wolf but it was trapped inside," I gritted my teeth at his statement.

  He is a monster!

"Trapped..." she almost stammered, "How is that possible?"

"You were right, I had a witch here who is using dark power," my eyes widened at his confession.

"You had a witch," seems Sheila was surprised too, "You know the consequences or should I list it all for you,"

"I know the consequences and I am not letting her go,"

"Kian...!" He stepped closer, filling the space between them before leaning to whisper to her ear though I heard him, "You want Daemon and I need my wife back so keep quiet she will be of use for the both of us,"

"Fine," I heard Sheila let out a breath after a few seconds of contemplating. "So what to do now that the festival is approaching?" Kian smirked deadly, backing away from her.

Why won't she accept the plan, not when it has to do with King Daemon? What a desperate thing. I wished that I could record what they were saying, this is very sensitive information that Daemon needed and it will surely help Luna Rhea... Poor girl.

"I met her at her worst state," he said walking back to his chair, "Who is that!" Sheila asked but Kian shrugged his shoulders, "You don't need to know her,"

"I wanted to end her after three days but I later discovered that she has what I want... she has been of help,"

  "Where is she now?"

"That's not what we will be talking about, her way about is none of your business," he indirectly snapped at her.

My jaw tightened, I need to have whoever this witch is and tell Daemon right away before something bad will happen to Luna Rhea. "We are in this together so I need to know," she insisted.

"Some things are better left unsaid," he shook his head, "And beside someone might hear us," my heart throbbed fast at his words. How do I sneak out from here, not to eavesdrop but how do I now leave here without any of their knowledge?

"How come you were able to do it, keeping her wolf from coming out?" I inched forward to get this very information.

Chuckling I heard him let out the fish from the water, "Every full moon due to the strong power from the moon her wolf wakes up from the deep slumber... And with the presence of her wolf she will know that I am not her mate and that Daemon is her true mate, and recognizing him is going to make the mark fade away and also make me lose everything,"

My body shivered, it felt like a bucket full of ice blocks had been poured on me. This man is evil and dangerous! So all this while trapped in the dungeon during the full moon festival is because of a way of shading her wolf from coming out. And he has made Luna Rhea to live with this stigma of being wolfless. This is so wrong, King Daemon didn't lie when he says that he has this feeling that Luna Rhea has a wolf.

"Sounds really smart and trust me I don't need her recognizing Daemon as hers," she snarled dangerously. Her voice was filled with so much venom, "Her wolf needs to be trapped and if there is any way that it can be killed then it will be better,"

My gaze went wide at her awful suggestion, to kill her wolf! That's so bad. "But what happens now that she is in the thorn pack and the festival is around the corner,"

An uncomfortable silence suddenly filled the air before Kian finally spoke up, "She loves the affair of the pack people right?"

What is he up to this time around?

"And Sam's mate is here as well," he let out a dry laugh, "I can trap them both," I arched my brow at his words.

"How do you intend to do that?"

"Just wait for it," his voice was dangerously cold. I peeped from the tiny opening in the door and saw Sheila nod at him, "I don't know how you intend to do it but be fast and I want that wolf of hers dead,"

"That way, she can never recognize him as her mate," she barked out every word with so much venom in her voice.

How can someone be so bittered? But I bet you if I sneak out from here alive I won't mind dying when ensuring that nothing happened to Luna Rhea. She deserves to be happy, she has lived all her life in misery but not anymore.

"I am happy that we have come to a better understanding," they both shook hands. Sheila turned around and started walking toward the door. My heart flipped immediately when I saw her and a huge lump instantly formed in the middle of my throat.

What should I do? My hands were shaking and running away would draw attention to me. I was still in my thoughts when the doorknob was twisted, at this moment I prayed for the ground to just swallow me up instantly. She opened the door and surprisingly the door smashed on my face.

I held my breath enduring the pain on my face as I watched her from behind the door striding away. If she could mistakenly turn left she would see me, I was behind the door though not fully covered. I clenched my fist together praying for the moon goddess to save me, I watched her open the main door and walked away.

  "Fuumm..."

I wanted to release a breath of relief when I quickly heard Kian's footsteps and I knew that I was doomed.

My mind wandered around for excuses to say but my head was blank, nothing was coming up. I stood still waiting for the worst to happen when I heard the door shut from inside.

I was startled for a while, my eyes squinted for some minutes before I just realized what just happened... He was still inside his office. Clearing my throat I strengthened myself and pulled the other door open.

However, the guards were surprised to see me, I ignored them and proceeded to where I was going but as usual, I was called back by one of them. " Hey!" I stopped and turned to face him.

"What were you doing inside here?"

"Alpha Kian called me and I am sure you aren't expecting me to discuss with you what he told me in there," he gulped, shocked before tearing his gaze away from me.

"Then… I mean how did you get in?" One of the other two asked.

I tilted my head to stare at him, a cold smile forming on my lips, "From the door or is there any other means of entering inside,"

  "Don't..."

He hadn't finished up his words when I laughed at him and turned to leave.

Wow! Where did that bravery just pop out from? Nice move... Mercy, now I need to find a way to reach out to King Daemon to avoid any suspicion.
