CHAPTER 103 Stay in Here

  Rhea's POV

I don't think it was a good idea to allow Sheila to help me escape, yes I have a trust issue not for someone that has ever hated my gut but her words got me worried.

Who doesn't know how much I cherish my pack members, especially Mercy? Besides I have always wanted a way to escape so I didn't think twice and decided to go with her plan.

In the middle of the night just as planned, thankfully Daemon still has a lot of work to tidy up in his office therefore giving me enough opportunity to run away.

To avoid the knowledge of the guards that Daemon has bestowed to follow me around like slaves, I planned with Sheila that I will be sneaking out through the window. So around the time for the escape, I slowly stood up from my bed and tiptoed to the window where I found Sheila waiting for me. That's strange because guards were suited to safeguard that spot so how come she is standing there with no guards in sight?

Seeing me, she instantly signals me to start climbing down with the wave of her hands in the air. I peeped by the side but couldn't see anything. So I brought out the rope that she gave me earlier, I tied it at a strong edge of the window and allowed the rest to fall outside, almost touching the ground. Swallowing hard, I held onto the rope, and with a slow and steady move, I started climbing down.

It wasn't that long **Bam** I reached the end of the rope and jumped down.

"We need to leave now," she urged me, not even waiting for me to stand up.

"Where are the guards?" I hurled a suspicious stare at her.

"Don't worry about that, I had everything covered," holding my hands she started dragging me away. I have this unsettling feeling within me, feeling the arching pain and the odd feeling within me.

I shrugged shoving the feeling away, maybe I think I have gotten so attached to Daemon that leaving his pack hurts this much. Sheila gave me a quick glance, I saw the smirk on her face but decided to ignore it. She is never a good person, so I have this feeling that whatever she is doing is for a reason. I know all this was so that I can leave the pack and she could have Daemon, the thought of that hurts but my pack members' welfare matters more to me.

It wasn't that long and we reached Blackwood Pack, stepping my feet there I felt the natural earthly breeze fan my face maybe a way of telling me welcome.

The excitement on the guards' faces was so much that I didn't notice that Sheila was still with me. I think that she wasn't lying, every one of the pack members looked malnourished like they haven't been fed proper food for a while now.

Mercy... I mumbled the name in my head. Smiling at the guards I stride toward Kian's room with anger filled inside me.

Reaching there I was informed by his guards that he wasn't around and I sent him to go tell him that I am here in his cabin waiting for him. Just now which hasn't been up to a minute and the news of my arrival has circulated the pack. I can feel their joy upon seeing me back despite what transpired here with me and Daemon some weeks ago.

It wasn't that long and Kian rushed inside, a smile breaking through his hardened face on seeing me. I wanted to snap at him when I noticed him nodding at someone, I turned to see the person and it was Sheila. What is she still doing here? She nodded back at Kian and turned and walked away.

Their movement seemed suspicious but with so much anger rolling off me I didn't ponder more on their behavior.

"I am here so no need of starving them," I suddenly spoke up, I know he was doing all this to get to and it is f****g working.

"Yeah, you are finally back so I think that I need to release the food," he said, earning a gasp from me.

"How could you be so selfish?" I yelled, and suddenly a growl erupts from my heart. I noticed Kian's gaze widened in shock and confusion. I was also confused at what just happened right now, the other time was with Lila and now growling at Kian. I didn't have a wolf so how is that even possible?

"This is impossible," he murmured but I heard him. He kept studying me for a while, just as I kept wondering about what just happened right now.

"The full moonlight festival is tomorrow, so get ready," he finally spoke, still inches away from me. "I have a lot to take care of in the pack so I am not sure that I will be joining," I said knowing fully well that my presence doesn't matter there since I have no wolf.

"I wasn't telling you to come out, stay in here... I will send your omega to bring you food,"

"Excuse me," I snapped, not expecting to get locked up here again after my return. He wanted me and here I am and he still wants to have me grounded.

"Don't try anything stupid, the guards will be suited in front of your door," he warned and walked away, closing the door behind him.
