Dana POV
My eyes light up with joy. "Who wouldn't desire to undergo training? I feel like my strengths and abilities are often overlooked... I am determined to succeed and believe in preparing thoroughly beforehand." I feel like someone who can't stop expressing what's on their mind.
It felt strange that she pulled that expression.
She nibbled on her lower lip, "I'm thrilled that someone is eager to be trained. Some individuals feel compelled and fearful... It's my first time witnessing someone so joyful." My smile stretches even wider in a slightly awkward manner.
She approached me and gently patted my shoulder. "It's a pleasure to meet someone as wonderful as you, Dana. I truly hope you decide to stay here." She said to me as I stared back with a blank expression.
I am glad that someone truly values me. Bathel and Anna are the only ones who want me to stay.
I grinned. "Sure," I replied.
"So, when are you available to start training?" she inquired.
With a smile on my face, I quickly tackle her once more. "Tomorrow," I declared confidently.
"Well, then we have a deal."
Now, I am prepared to confront those who have caused me pain in the past. I am determined to stand up for myself.
My day was filled with lively conversations and a tour with Anna. She mentioned she had some errands to run now. Now, I am by myself, but I've chosen to bring Alpha his favorite.
I am eager to take on the role of serving instead of the omega. I would like to express my gratitude to him for rescuing me and accepting me into this group.
Currently, I'm carrying a tray of food as I walk into his office, pausing at the doorway. I knock on the door and can hear some murmurs.
"Now, please leave." He spoke quietly to another person.
I raised my eyebrow in surprise as a woman opened the door and walked away without a word. Her gaze was fixed downwards, avoiding eye contact with me.
I gaze at her intense curiosity and then turn my attention to Bathel, who appears preoccupied with something else.
"Hmm- "
"Come here," he ordered.
With a smile on my face, I entered the room and caught his attention as he shut his laptop and looked at me.
I gently nibble on my lower lip. "Your Majesty, I have prepared this for you. Although I didn't make it myself, I simply enjoy presenting it to you." I whispered as he gently wrapped his chest with his hands, his gaze fixed on me as if analyzing every detail.
"You're not required to do that." His tone was icy.
I grinned. "I am eager to engage in activities. I would like to do something positive to show my gratitude for saving me when I was in a life-threatening situation." I informed him.
He gave an enthusiastic nod. "No need for thanks. You assisted me initially, so that's no big deal." I smiled uncomfortably because that was something. I was on the brink of death when he came to my rescue.
Faking a cough, I set down the tray of food on his table.
He murmured his gratitude.
I chuckled and found myself at a loss for words, "Well- "
"Would you like to have a seat?" He cut me off.
I feel compelled to sit in the chair across from him as he questions me.
I took a deep breath and said, "That wasn't anything, anyway. You rescued me when I was on the brink of death. It's a bit embarrassing that I bother you about your girlfriend- "
"I don't have a girlfriend," he pointed out. His voice is captivating, leaving me mesmerized by his presence.
I was taken aback, "What? That wasn't..."
"Indeed, it's a different business." His response was somewhat restrained when it came to communication.
His focus was clearly on speaking and thinking about them initially. I can't help but find him adorable. I believe he possesses all the qualities I desire in a man. A man who always considers my feelings and speaks thoughtfully.
"Are you alright?" He inquired.
"I think I should just go. I brought this for you, but I don't want to interrupt your work..."
"It's all good," he reassured me, bringing a smile to my face.
"Oh, is that so..." I whispered. "I understand that we haven't had a meaningful conversation since the incident. However, I've concluded that it's important for us to have this discussion." I included.
"I'm thrilled you rescued me and welcomed me into the pack..." I stumbled over my words. "I understand it may seem different, but I prefer to remain here." Gazing downward, filled with apprehension about potential rejection.
I can vividly hear his tiny chuckles. "You are welcome to stay in this place whenever you require it. Forever and ever." He replied.
His face lit up with a grin. He simply grins. His face lights up with a smile, a sight I long for from another person. It's not often that he smiles. Well, maybe it's not that uncommon since I haven't known him for very long, but he hardly gave me a smile when we first met.
I whispered, "What..." I expressed my gratitude and flashed a broad smile that lit up my face.
His face no longer bears a smile, yet his eyes reveal his happiness.
Scanning the room, I feel uneasy and continue searching for the right thing to say.
"Dana?" He called me, causing my heart to race.
It's like I've been here before. I can see that Ares is associated with him, and it feels inappropriate. I shouldn't dwell on Ares during my interactions with others since he no longer plays a significant role in my life. It's important to focus on the present and face reality.
"Your Majesty?"
"Address me by my name," He responded. He gazes at me, causing a mix of emotions to play across my face.
"What?"
"I prefer to be addressed by my name," He leaned in closer to me, and now I can hear him.
"Oh, absolutely, no problem!" I exclaimed, taken aback by the events unfolding.
"Bathel..." I whispered, a sly grin spreading on my lips.
He murmured, "I like it."
"What?" I lunged at his face as he turned his head.
