Dana POV
I recently moved to the Sun Flower Pack and I am enjoying the peaceful atmosphere here. I doubt they even considered the other pack. Ares is solely focused on competition and his power, to the point where he is willing to sacrifice what he once had for someone new.
I prefer not to dwell on the past and instead focus on the present. I aspire to embrace a fresh start as a member of the new community that has welcomed me.
"Welcome to this pack," A woman lightly touched my shoulder, and I couldn't help but chuckle. I don't even know her name, but she gives off a friendly vibe.
"Oh, sure, thank you!" I exclaimed.
Her smile lit up the room. "You seemed genuinely thrilled to join our team," she said with a wide smile.
I gave a confirming nod. "This place is ideal..." I found myself drawn to Bathel as he conversed with his beta, Adrian. Even though the woman was talking, my attention was solely on Bathel.
She whispered, "Hey?"
"Oh," I exclaimed as I shifted my gaze towards her.
"I am Divine, a warrior in this pack. One could argue that I am the most skilled fighter trained by the Alpha's sister." She said, passing me her hand.
I am quite taken aback and anxious after hearing that information. I quickly accepted her hand with a smile and shook it.
"Oh, Divine, I am- "
She interrupted me, saying, "Dana. I know," she appended.
"Bathel reveals your true self. He always ensured that we treated you with utmost care and consideration. He cannot stand any disrespect towards you. She had a mischievous grin on her face. He shows no concern when someone else trespasses, but suddenly cares when it's you." She exclaimed. I can feel my heart pounding, and I'm at a loss for words.
"Uhm- "
"You must come with me to the training ground," she ordered with a commanding voice that sent shivers down my spine.
I gulp and nod my head. "Will you be the one to train me?" I inquired, curious.
Her smile lacked any trace of joy in her eyes. "I will be observing, and Anna is the leader." Her response was delivered in a soothing tone, yet it filled me with unease.
"Oh, um...alright," I stammered.
Once we step into the training ground, it's a vibrant and distinct place.
Xia whispered reassuringly as she sensed the rhythm of my heartbeat, "You don't have to be nervous."
"I know, I know," I muttered.
"Are you familiar with how to resist your wolf's trigger?" Anna inquired. I envision Divine smirking while seated in the chair.
I glanced down and tackled her once more. "Well- "
"Is it a yes or a no, Dana? I already know your answer, so I suppose there's no need to ask in that manner." She interrupted me with a calm tone in her voice.
"Oh, yes, I am eager and prepared to learn how to do that..." I said with my lips quivering.
Anna bursts into laughter. "You behaved as if we were individuals who posed a threat to you. While this training won't be fatal, be prepared for some bleeding. I prefer not to witness anyone crying." She reflected, inhaling deeply in an attempt to soothe her nerves.
Divine being let out a chuckle. "Indeed." She pointed to a scar on her neck that was particularly unsettling, explaining, "I got this when I was crying a lot."
"Is that so?" I inquired because I was unsure.
"You don't want to believe it?" Anna inquired, her tone was quite intimidating.
I shook my head in disbelief. "I believe in your abilities... So, I don't doubt you." I responded with a fabricated sense of assurance.
"That's great," she affirmed.
"Bathel mentioned that you narrowly escaped death at the hands of the rogues," she stated. "Imagine me as those rogues who are about to attack you and react accordingly. This will serve as a test. It's not precise training," she included. I furrowed my brows in shock; I never anticipated it would be this challenging.
"Are you serious?" I murmured.
Laughter echoes beautifully. "This place is no laughing matter, Dana," she whispered.
"I understand- "
"Are you prepared?" She abruptly ended our conversation.
I took a deep breath. "I could say- "
I hadn't even finished speaking when Anna abruptly kicked me in the abdomen. I let out a cry as I tumbled to the ground, my cheeks making contact with the rough surface.
"Oh darn," she muttered.
"Get up," she commanded, and I immediately stood up without hesitation.
"This is so dull," Divine whispered.
"We're not in the thrilling part," Anna informed her.
Anna glanced at me while securing her chest with her hand. "This is a must, actually," she chuckles. "We want everyone in this place to receive training, and I appreciate you because you appear to be motivated to do this," she remarked.
"I am..." I mentioned that my voice was trembling.
"Then come at me- " Her words were abruptly interrupted as I let out a yelp and accidentally kicked her in the face, causing her to fall. I am consumed by anger when I think about those who have wronged me.
I notice the curiosity in Divine's expression, as if she has observed something noteworthy.
Anna woke up with a fierce glare in her eyes. "Remember, falling doesn't signify defeat. Keep going, and don't assume you've won- " When I attempted to strike her, she grabbed my arm so firmly that I couldn't even budge.
"I. Will. Win." I muttered, gazing at her with a glare mirroring her own.
She softly suggested giving it a shot.
"Ahh!" I exclaimed as I kicked her abdomen in the same way she did.
"Photographic memory," Divine said with a Spanish accent. It's evident that she is Spanish, though.
Anna managed to stay on her feet this time. My head is spinning from my rapid movements, picturing her as the god who betrayed me and Blaire who caused havoc in my family and emerged victorious.
Everyone who despised me.
"I will emerge victorious over you!" I shouted as she let out a sudden howl, sending me flying with a powerful force.
I didn't even feel a thing.
I sensed the impact and then felt someone's hands on my back. When I turned around, I saw Bathel holding me.
