CHAPTER 96 You're Obsessed

  Dana POV

I laughed, the sound ringing hollow in the dim confines of the cell. "Well, I know that you're mad because of the history of our parents, and the way I am supposed to become the Luna of Sun Flower Pack. You're scared that I will succeed... But you made Ares realize that he still loves me, and it sucks, right?" I goaded, each word laced with a venomous edge designed to inflict maximum damage.

Blaire's response caught me off guard, her words piercing through the veil of indifference I had carefully cultivated. "You think I still care?" she scoffed, her laughter ringing hollow in the dim confines of the cell.

The bitterness in her voice mirrored my own as she recounted Ares's betrayal, her words a stark reminder of the pain we both shared. "Ares broke my heart. Ares made love with me just because he found out you have a baby with another man," she spat, her voice dripping with contempt. The revelation struck me like a physical blow, the weight of her words crushing me beneath their weight.

As she continued, her laughter morphed into something darker, something raw and unfiltered. "You think I would be hurt by the information he already told me? He keeps slapping me with the reality!" she exclaimed her words a bitter echo of my inner turmoil.

But it was her next words that left me reeling, the truth of them cutting through me like a knife. "He sleeps talks with your name, and do you think I will not be disgusted with that!? Every fucking night he dreams about you!" she shouted, her voice echoing in the cavernous space of the cell.

I stood frozen, my mind reeling from the revelation. For in that moment, amidst the chaos and the pain, I was forced to confront the truth that lay buried beneath the layers of resentment and anger- a truth that threatened to shatter the carefully constructed walls around my heart.

Blaire's laughter grated against my nerves, her derisive tone cutting through the air like a knife. "So, you're obsessed..." I retorted though the words rang hollow in the face of her brazen admission.

Her laughter only intensified, a twisted echo of the pain and anguish that churned within me. "I am obsessed more than he's obsessed with you. I don't regret what I did as you won his heart, but at least I took the things off from your life that you desired the most," she spat, her words laced with venom.

The realization that Blaire felt no remorse for her actions left me reeling, the weight of her cruelty pressing down upon me like a suffocating blanket. It pained me to acknowledge that the woman responsible for the deaths of my parents and my unborn child showed no hint of contrition.

But even as her words cut me to the core, I refused to let her see my pain. With a practiced smile, I feigned indifference, masking the turmoil that raged within me. "But you're weak right now... You're not able to mind-link or to call your father. Your wolf is also unconscious," I countered, my voice steady despite the tumultuous emotions swirling beneath the surface.

Her smile widened, a chilling display of confidence that sent a shiver down my spine. "It doesn't matter. My father used to lock me up for like 3 months when I was young to improve my strength. People with phobia in Black River Pack are not tolerated, so don't expect that this fears me because I know that anytime... I can leave this place," she declared, her words dripping with menace.

Though her threats sent a jolt of fear coursing through me, I refused to show any sign of weakness. With a steely resolve, I met her gaze head-on, determined to face whatever challenges lay ahead with unwavering courage and determination.

As Blaire's words continued to pour forth like venom from her lips, a sense of unease settled over me, a gnawing anxiety that threatened to consume me whole. But I refused to succumb to the fear that clawed at the edges of my consciousness, steeling myself against the onslaught of emotions that threatened to overwhelm me.

With every step I took away from her cell, I felt the weight of her presence pressing down upon me, her words echoing in the recesses of my mind. But I refused to let her see my vulnerability, refusing to give her the satisfaction of knowing that she had rattled me.

"Then, you can stay forever there. I am not supposed to let you out," I retorted, my voice steady despite the turmoil raging within me. With a final glance over my shoulder, I turned my back on her, determined to put as much distance between us as possible.

"Hey!" she called out, her voice tinged with desperation as she reached out for me, but I paid her no heed.

Ares's sudden appearance in the chamber caught me off guard, his panicked demeanor a stark contrast to the composed facade he typically wore. "Oh my god, Dana..." he murmured, his voice trembling with a mixture of relief and concern.

"What's happened?" I inquired, my anxiety mounting as I watched him closely.

"I thought you'd disappeared..." he confessed, his hand reaching out to touch mine, his fingers trembling against my skin. The intensity of his emotions sent a shiver down my spine, a testament to the depth of his fear.

"I was scared that you left me," he admitted, his voice thick with emotion. "Where have you been?" he pressed, his gaze searching mine for answers.
