CHAPTER 99 Because You're Wicked!

  Ares POV

I understand that winning Dana back may be challenging, and I acknowledge that she may not be open to accepting me again. My goal is simply to demonstrate to her that I am deserving of her trust once more. Despite any obstacles or unkindness she may exhibit, I am committed to persistently proving myself to her.

I was always determined to shield her from the individuals within this group. I am fully aware of the pain I have caused her and I understand that I must face the consequences of my actions. I refuse to allow her to slip away once more, and it's clear that she has been acting unkindly towards me lately, going to great lengths to mock and belittle me, and strangely enough, I find myself strangely drawn to it.

I am captivated by the way she continues to embrace my assistance to be in this location.

At this very moment, I find myself in the bar, indulging in a refreshing beverage, when out of nowhere, Ander makes a grand entrance into the room.

He inhaled deeply. "What are your plans for Blaire? Her father sends a message... He's searching for her, convinced that she has no news for their pack." He nervously told me, and I was struggling to comprehend what he said.

"Dana..." I whispered. "I want her to be protected from Blaire," I mentioned, his reaction swiftly shifted.

"Is that the only thing occupying your thoughts at the moment?" His eyebrow arched in surprise. "Alpha, I understand your deep affection for Dana, but it's important to consider that the timing may not be in your favor-"

"Not my favor?" I cut him off, my heart breaking into pieces.

It's incredibly agonizing. This pain is unlike anything I've ever experienced before.

"There is no concept of being not in my favor. I am determined to win her back..." I whispered, I am certain that I am not intoxicated at this moment.

His throat tightened. "You have no clue with your words," he murmured. "Perhaps it would be wise to consult the council for their perspective on this matter. I'm uncertain about the outcome once they discover that-"

"Well, I couldn't care less. Inform them that I have lost interest in the Black River Pack. Make sure to inform them about every detail of what Blaire did." I declared, sensing my heart racing.

I rise from the chair, clutching the bottle firmly in my grasp.

"Where could Dana be?" I inquired, his gaze piercing me with an icy chill.

"You seem to be losing focus, Alpha. You seem to be losing focus and neglecting your responsibilities... You absolutely must do something about it-"

"Losing what?" I burst into laughter. "Dana is the driving force behind my actions. She's the reason I am completely immersed in my current state of concentration." I added, my jaw clenched as I continued to drink from the bottle.

I reached out and made contact with his shoulder. "We can discuss this tomorrow," I said with conviction. I grinned at him without a trace of amusement.

I step out of the bar and make my way to Dana's chamber, only to find it empty.

  "Dana?" I furrowed my brows.

Something inexplicable has taken hold of me, and an overwhelming sense of dread is steadily intensifying. The idea of her departing once more fills me with fear. This is exactly how I felt when she accepted my rejection, but I couldn't express it.

"Relax, Ares..." I can vividly hear my wolf, Blaze.

"We must locate her," I responded quickly.

"That despicable Bathel made quite an amusing choice," I scoffed. "I refuse to allow him to take her once more... not," I whispered, a sense of dread coursing through me as I navigated the corridor, desperately seeking her presence.

I search high and low, traversing crowded areas where people tremble in my presence.

Right now, my focus is solely on myself and my own needs.

She is the only thing on my mind.

"Everyone must remain completely motionless. The Alpha is here." I overheard someone issuing a cautionary message to the rest, yet the reasons behind their concerns remain elusive to me, especially when I consider Dana.

"Have you all caught a glimpse of Dana?" I inquired amidst the bustling crowd in the packed venue, and their bewildered gazes turned towards me.

"Alpha Ares," Drake called out from a distance.

  "Really...?" I softly murmured.

"Why is he searching for that omega instead of his own Luna?"My heart races at the mere thought of Luna...

I can imagine if Blaire committed a truly terrible act against her. I gritted my teeth and remained silent as I strode away from them, making my way towards the dungeon level.

Before entering the dungeon, I took great care to ensure that I wasn't being followed. To my relief, Dana was nowhere to be found.

Yes, Blaire is present. Her attention is focused on her nails, as she playfully explores their texture and shape.

She stared at me with a grin that infuriated me. "Have you caught a glimpse of Dana?" I inquired without considering my choice of words.

Her lips were moistened by her tongue. "Why are you asking me that?" she chuckled. "You confined me in this location, and you still anticipated me to-"

"Because you're incredibly wicked!" I strode forward, my anger boiling over as I approached her.

With a swift motion, I yanked open the cellar door, causing her eyes to widen in terror. I notice that her lips appear dry, but she's making a sincere effort to maintain a fresh appearance.
