CHAPTER 102 You're Not That Skilled

  Dana POV

"I would consider it a compliment," she said with a proud tone, which infuriated me.

"Then, there may be an issue with you-"

"You stabbed Ares," she interrupted me abruptly. My heart skipped a beat as I suddenly realized that she had already left the cave hours ago.

I inhaled deeply. "Whatever you have in mind, seize the moment and take action immediately. I longed to confront you immediately, without delay." I exclaimed. "I have no desire to squander any more precious moments-" My words were abruptly halted as she forcefully slapped my cheeks, leaving me speechless.

"You kissed him, and you even slept in my luxurious room..." she murmured. "Where did you acquire such a bold demeanor, to believe you have the nerve to engage in such actions?"

"You're such a disgrace and a real BIG whore," she sneered, and her words cut deep. She clenches her jaw while giving me a bad eye glare.

I yearn for the joy of laughter, yet it eludes me. A smile spread across my face.

"Even if you were to end my life this very moment, the undeniable truth remains that his lack of love for you, despite the intimate encounters you shared, will forever remain unchanged-" She was about to strike me once more, but I firmly grasped her hand.

It's incredible how I can sense the power of my inner wolf growing as if it's yearning to unleash its might.

I can still vividly recall the moment when Bathel showed me how to hold someone tightly. However, she unexpectedly kicked my legs, causing me to almost lose my balance. Despite this, I managed to stay still.

I am aware that engaging in a conflict at this particular moment is not beneficial for me. I must prioritize my physical well-being after all that has transpired, but I refuse to allow Blaire to elude me once more.

"I suppose that man you regarded as a rebound truly imparted some valuable lessons on resilience and combat," Her words pierced me deeply, causing me to shake my head in disbelief.

"I don't treat him as a mere rebound." I promptly corrected her.

Her eyebrow arched in surprise. "Is that so? Do you no longer have feelings for Ares?" She gently nibbled on her lower lip.

"Just because you've been in that situation doesn't mean that's what I did too-"

"What's the reason for your excessive protectiveness? Do you still have feelings for Bathel Harris, despite his actions towards you?" Her laughter fills the air. "Oh, what a shame, Dana. This is why you're such an effortless target, and I thoroughly enjoy engaging with someone of your vulnerability," she added, and her words didn't even make me flinch.

"I don't feel the same way about him anymore, but that doesn't negate the love I had for him when he loved me," I explained to her. "I was committed and devoted... I adore our child, which is why I couldn't imagine not loving him." I had a complete breakdown, and her eyes still held a sense of ridicule.

"You just don't get it," I struggle to say. "You can never truly understand the indescribable pain of losing a child... To lose someone you loved is an incredibly painful experience." I inhaled deeply, attempting to hold back my tears.

"I lost my parents because of you," I choked out, struggling to swallow the lump in my throat. "And thanks to you, I lost all the people who once meant something to me," I stated firmly, concealing any trace of the lingering pain from the loss of my baby.

Her eyes lost their brightness as her smile disappeared.

"It's fine," she said with a stoic expression. "You can always cry and show your vulnerabilities; I won't judge. I won't say you're weak, but it's my choice to make your life a living hell," she added, and I remained motionless, standing before her without any response.

"I have nothing to show you," I stated to her. "I am here to demonstrate my abilities..." I let out a frustrated sigh as I attempted to lunge at her, my wolf-like instincts urging me to sink my teeth into her flesh. However, she managed to evade me, slipping away before I could make contact.

She slams against the cold, unforgiving wall of the dungeon.

Her laughter fills the air. "You're not that skilled," she chuckles. "But I must say, you gave it your best shot-" Her words are abruptly silenced as I let out a piercing cry and charge towards her, plunging her knife into her chest.

Currently, she lacks a wolf to transform. She lacks the protection and support of a wolf's cry.

I give her a piercing gaze. She was taken aback, her gaze fixated on the sight of her stomach, blood seeping out. She pulled the knife out, letting out a piercing scream that echoed through the air.

Startled, I quickly turned around to see what was happening behind me. "you have to shut the fuck up, or there may be consequences involving a substance that affects your vulnerabilities." I desired her intensely, fully aware of the power I held within the silver I crafted within the stolen gun - or perhaps I could enhance it with the potent wolfsbane.

"Do you believe you're invulnerable with that?" Her laughter abruptly ceased as her smile vanished, the moment I aimed the gun at her, its bullet gleaming silver.

"What actions can you take to address this situation?" I inquired, with a smile on my face.

"You don't have a wolf, and I can effortlessly-" My words are abruptly halted as she darts away with incredible speed, escaping from the depths of the dungeon.

I was completely caught off guard by what unfolded, my eyes wide open and unprepared for the unexpected turn of events. I continued to chase her relentlessly, but she was on the verge of escaping when Ares managed to apprehend her.

Her head rests gently on his arms. He's shirtless, his injuries are concealed by the fabric, and Blaire attempted to escape from his grasp, but she appears to be unconscious, and he administered some sort of injection to her.
