　　Christian's warm presence lingered in the room, easing the tension that had built up from my earlier conversation with Michael. His easygoing demeanor and witty remarks had done wonders to lift my spirits. But as the conversation flowed, something else gnawed at the back of my mind. The case, I just read about in the file.
