　　The tension between Christian and me had been building for days now, thick, heavy, and silent.

　　But after last night, I decided to talk to Christian seriously. I'd fallen asleep alone, I woke up at midnight staring at the empty side of the bed where Christian should've been. When I went looking for him, the door to his study was closed, a faint light slipping out from underneath. I knocked softly.
