　　The room was already buzzing when we arrived.

　　Dozens of reporters stood packed in front of the podium, cameras flashing, murmurs rippling through the crowd like electricity. Microphones waited, already extended toward the space where I would soon stand. I could feel the weight of it all pressing against my ribs.
