　　My gut told me that the Nightshade pack was behind Emma's disappearance, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being held against her will in their territory. I imagined her being trapped, scared, and alone, and it fueled my determination to act fast.

　　I called Hunter and Parker, filling them in on my suspicions. "We need to move now," I said, my voice firm. "I think Emma's being held in Nightshade territory."
