MILAN'S POV

Alpha Scott stared at me, his jaw clenched tight. He opened his mouth, as if to speak, but then closed it again. Finally, he turned towards the door.

"I understand," he said, his voice tight with emotion. "I'll leave, but I won't give up on us. I'll prove to you that I can be trusted."

He walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. I sighed, feeling a mixture of relief and sadness. I was glad that he'd finally left, but I felt a pang of regret ...
