Ava suddenly came up to us and spoke. "Father and Mother, this is my cue to leave you two to enjoy your evening."

Alpha Jake laughed and said, "Well, that's quite the cue. Thank you, Ava. It was nice to have you join us."

"Anytime, Father!" Ava said, grinning. "I'll be heading home later. Bye!" And with that, she was gone.

I turned to Alpha Jake, and he was smiling at me. "She's quite the character, isn't she?"
