CHAPTER 6 The Divine World

The mantra that came out of his mouth transformed the room into space, and I could feel myself floating in the air when I held my father's hand, my feet felt like they were leaving the ground, and I gripped his hand even tighter when I realized something had happened, I was so surprised at that moment because it was the first time I had experienced any kind of magic like that.

“What is going on, Goddess?” I tensely whispered as I kept my eyes closed, my hand holding my father’s hand, and none of us had opened our eyes at that point because the principal hadn’t yet commanded us.

He kept saying the same words, words that I had never heard before, but I found myself understanding every word he said as if I had known the language before I was born.

“Sto ónoma tis Theás tis Selínis, sas zitó na mou deíxete éna simádi kai na apantísete stin erótisí mou”

My body, which felt like it was floating, has stopped floating; it has returned to its original position, but it still feels strange. My eyes and mouth were still closed at the time, but I couldn’t resist the urge to find out what happened, so I peeked a little but the principal found out.

“Do not open your eyes yet!” He said, and I immediately stopped doing that.

I close my eyes as soon as he notices; it turns out my principal has the ability to read people's minds, just like one of Red-Bloods’ men; I wish I had that ability because it would be easier for me to read the Alpha's mind and how he thinks of me, whether he likes me or not, and what his intention toward me is.

But my wish could backfire; what if the Alpha doesn’t like me? He was just being nice to me because he grew up in a good pack. Not like my pack, who raised their children to be their future weapons.

The principal finally commands us to open our eyes and release the grip. My father slowly releases his hand from mine, so I release his hand from mine, and our eyes open.

I was taken aback when I noticed that my body, as well as the principal and my father, were sitting in the same room as me, my heart was on its way out of my chest when I realized my soul and body were separate.

“What the fuck” I surprisingly mumbled when I saw my soul and body are separate.

“I am sorry, what is happening?” I asked the principal in surprise, my eyes running around the place to process.

I can’t believe we’re living in such a different world right now. The world beneath me is where I spent the rest of my life, and the world I am currently in is where werewolf souls live after death and where the first Moon Goddess’s creation was born.

The book beneath us becomes a portal to another world. Our souls separate our bodies and bring us into this world, and that old book emitted white light like an entrance; it faced the ceiling.

“This is the world I’ve told you about…” My father said.

“A world where no werewolves or Lycans can pass through except the one who guarded the treasure” With a smirk on his face, he declared.

“But it’s a violation of the law. We shouldn’t do this!” I responded by telling my father that we should not enter the divine realm.

“Yes, it is illegal, my dear. But we need this to determine the future, whether you will receive your form or not” The principal declared.

“So your father and I can devise a strategy if something unexpected occurs, if it’s possible that you won’t receive that form, we can devise a strategy to change that destiny” He explained.

“Now follow me...” The principal began his step and led us to a location.

The thread that connected my body and soul became more distant as I walked after my father and the principal who had taken me somewhere else; my body, which was sitting in the underworld, vanished behind the white light of the entrance; I didn't see my body again after that, which worried me.

“Is it okay, dad, if we leave our bodies in the underworld?” I asked my father in hushed tones, my face expressionless.

“You don’t have to worry…” He said as we continued walking. I nodded and kept my mouth shut.

This place is nothing but space, that’s how I felt when I first saw it. There was nothing but empty dark space and the twinkling light of stars miles away. But something caught my attention: a golden light at the end of the road.

It originated from somewhere. The golden light draws us closer, and I can’t wait to see what it is. The three of us arrive after a few minutes of walking or floating, I guess because I couldn’t see our feet.

The golden light revealed a podium and an open book, which was located directly above the podium and facing the sky, just like the book the principal had used to bring us here, but this one was written in golden ink.

My father and I came to a halt in front of the podium; the principal was the one who led; he stood at the podium and quickly placed his hands on the top of the golden book, and he began his spell once more.

“Antistréfontas to ónoma tis Theás tis Selínis, ftásame sti genéteira tou eídous mas”

(By reversing the Moon Goddess’s name, we’ve arrived at the birthplace of our species)

“Parakaló me to parón to theío na mas deíxei ton drómo pros tin alítheia”

(I hereby request the divine to show us the way to the truth)

“Aftó to korítsi genníthike ótan emfanístike i pansélinos, evlogíthike apó séna, kai i méra pou genníthike égine i iméra tis eftychías tis agélis tou Red-Blood, kathós esý, Theá tis Selínis, ti dimioúrgises”

(This girl was born when the full moon appeared, she was blessed by you, and the day she was born became the day of the Red-Blood pack’s happiness, as you, Moon Goddess, created her)

“Erchómaste edó gia na sas rotísoume gia to méllon tis dimiourgías sas, eímaste edó gia na doúme to méllon tou fotós, to méllon ópou tha vrísketai sto thróno”

(We come here to ask you about your creation’s future, we are here to see the future of light, the future where she will be on the throne)

“Deíxe mas to méllon!”

(Show us the future!)

The book on the podium was suddenly thrown into the air and opened wide; the page stopped at the hundredth page and floated in the air after that.

The golden light that had been shining on the books suddenly turned reddish, and it immediately changed the principal's facial expression; he was terrified to see the red light, as was I, who had no idea what that meant.

“What happened?” In dismay my father asked the principal, his face lifted to the sky to see the red light.

“Something bad might be happening to her…” The principal declared.

“Your daughter is in danger!” He said.

“We’ve been in danger for a long time and I am confident that my men will keep us safe, but what does the reddish light mean? Will she get her shape?” My father appeared to disregard the principal’s declaration and prioritize the form.

“She will, indeed, get her form” The principal responded and it made my father smile; the man who prioritized my form quickly hugged me when he found out I was going to get my wolf.

My father kissed my forehead and hugged me, showing me that he was proud of me because no matter what, I would get my wolf and he never cares about the danger in front of us, and the golden book then returned to its original position.

The principal told him to keep my safety as a priority on our way back, but my father said arrogantly that it wasn’t a big deal because his men could keep me safe and no one could hurt me when they were around, but the principal’s face I read said this wasn’t a trivial matter to be ignored, something big was about to happen.
