When I learned that Alpha Drax would hand me over to the vampire to save Diane, I couldn't say anything. With tears almost streaming down my cheeks, I looked at him who was still holding me in his arms; he also didn’t realize that I knew everything.
My heart was broken and the chest that had previously felt wide was now filled with broken pieces of the heart caused by his treatment of me; I had no idea that he would choose that Omega over me, who had almost lost my life.
I closed my eyes and pretended not to know what was going on at that moment when the Alpha looked at me with a blue face, Alpha Drax then carefully lifted me off his body and laid me on the ground.
My mother became enraged and began to fight Alpha Drax, who was at the time making a deal with the vampire; my mother exclaimed loudly that the golden wolf had no right to make this decision.
“How dare you hand my daughter to that jerk?” My mother threw her words with emotion.
“Who are you?” My mother yelled.
Alpha Drax never responded to my mother’s question, as if the question won’t affect him and the most important thing to him was the Omega, who was being held captive by that middle-aged vampire.
“Give her to me, you free to get this girl” Alpha Drax stated as he ran his gaze at me who at that time had already rested on the ground with an injured head.
“You can’t do this!” My mother exclaimed from the place she was standing; she gained the Alpha’s attention.
“I am sorry, I got no choice” The Alpha replied with a slight grief in his voice, he then step back and get away from my limp body on the ground; he was ready to get his Omega back to him.
The vampire seemed interested in the argument between my mother and the Alpha; he shifted his focus which should be on Diane to the argument going on between my mother and the Alpha. They both made the vampire caught off guard.
Recognizing a gap in the vampire's grip, Diane quickly hit the vampire's face with her elbow, causing his grip to loosen. It didn't take long for the vampire to lose its defenses.
Diane dashed away from the vampire's arms after hitting his eyes with her elbow, towards the Alpha, who was standing not far from my body, which was still lying on the ground; at the time, the vampire was preoccupied with his eyes, which had been punched by Diane's elbow; he whimpered in pain.
“Get into the car!” My mother shouted and demanded the group to quickly get into the car; a plan popped out of her head, all of the sudden.
All of them immediately run into the car after my mother commanded them to, the Moon Goddess seemed to give us one more chance to run away from the vampires by making him caught off guard.
Without wasting any more time, my mother and Lara ran toward me who at that time was laying on the ground a full speed while the remaining group ran to the only car we had.
The two of them lifted my body from the ground, carefully; my mother and Lara wrapped my arms around their necks in a rush because they are afraid that if the vampire will notice we are planning to escape.
“Come on, help us, walk” My mother demanded me to use my legs, but the broken heart me didn’t follow her instruction; I was too sad to walk and my mind does not even think clearly.
My eyes turned blank the moment I saw the Alpha and his girl leave the place, my chest became stuffy, it felt so damn hurt even worse than being stabbed by the vampire’s sword. He left without helping any of us, we were struggling at that time but that was his choice to leave and I can’t make him stay.
“Girl, come on!” My mother exclaimed as the two of them dragged me away from the scene.
“I can’t do this, just leave me alone” I was too desperate to continue the life that I deserve because of my broken heart; never crossed my mind to move my body after his leaving.
“No, you can make it!” Lara tried to pull my strength back to its place. “We still had a lot of stuff to do, come on!” She said. “You promised me to show Eden Spring” Lara declared as she carried me on her shoulder.
“Oh, he’s awake” Lara immediately removed her gaze from me and ran it to the middle-old vampire.
My limp body immediately gets back to normal the moment I realize we got no time; I then quickly move my legs and ran with both my mother and Lara.
“Let’s go… get your ass off the road!” The teacher who at that time had already sat in the driver's seat demanded us to run even more quickly; the car was ready to drive out of the place.
“Come on, we can do this” My mother said.
The three of us started running as fast as we could; the vampire who had realized at that time started to leave the place where he was standing before and started chasing us.
Panic began to grip the three of us and unluckily my head suddenly hurt, it caused all three of us to trip and fall.
“Crap!” Lara mumbled and immediately lifted me; my mother quickly gets up from the road after falling.
“Let’s go, Elora” My mother pulled my arm and wrapped it around her neck, I made the two of them struggle at that time.
I told my mother and Lara to leave for their own sake because I don’t think I can make it; moreover, the vampire wanted to see my father and make a deal with him. Alpha Adrian might save me, but my mother is not listening to me.
With the help of Lara, my mother carried me on her shoulder as if I was a toddler, her love for me made my mother could do anything she could to save me.
“That girl is mine!” The vampire shouted as he ran after us.
With the grace of the Moon Goddess who was always with us, Lara and my mother finally managed to get me into the car. The three of us jumped into the back seat of the car and without wasting time, the teacher who was in the driver’s seat immediately stepped on the gas and left the location.
Everyone who was in the car breathed a sigh of relief when the shadow of the vampire left on the highway slowly disappeared, the vampire finally stopped chasing us and we were free.
“You, all right, honey?” My mother asked about my condition.
I was resting my back against the back seat, my face up to the perforated car roof when she asked me that question. I nodded as my response and did not point my gaze at her at that time.
All the people who were inside the car finally feel safe, there is no vampire scent as far as the nose could smell, only fresh three scents, and fresh air surrounding the place.
I started to think about my father; felt worried about him because we haven’t seen him until now. I then started to talk about it with my mother while we are still on our way.
“Mom, do you think dad will come back to Eden Spring the way we do?” I inquired and now I pointed my gaze at her; I was sad.
With a heavy breath my mother run her hand closer to me, she held my head before she answered my question.
“Yes, I think he will…” She said and continued; my mother grabbed my hand, rubbing my knuckles over her thumb softly before she started again. “Your father knows how to beat them” She declared and it immediately made the worriedness that I had disappeared, I then smile as I look at her, taking a deep exhale in the end.
“You know what honey… I am so glad that you are here with me” My mother smiled; her thick red lips formed a crescent moon, it hypnotized me so I smiled too.
“Well…” She took a deep breath and pulled me closer to her; my mother make my head rest on her shoulder; she caressed my hair afterward and comfort me before she continue.
“I can’t wait to make you a cup of hot chocolate and sleep in the same blanket as you! Ugh, I miss our cozy blanket” She groaned and a smile came off her face afterward.
“I miss home too, mom...” I said with a pouty face.
Our journey continued and everyone in the car was fast asleep except for the teacher who was driving. I awoke halfway through because it was getting late and we were about to arrive in Eden Springs.
“Lara, you awake?” When I notice my guardian angel is still awake, I started to talk to her; Lara hasn’t gotten any sleep until now. “I thought you were sleeping!” I said.
My mother and I were still holding hands at that time, gently; I remove her hand from mine and leave my mother to rest on her seat.
“Something bothered my mind, I couldn’t sleep because of that” Lara responded; she turned her head to the back seat and looked at me the moment she spoke to me.
My mind started to run to the Alpha and his Omega; this must have something to do with what Lara wanted to tell me the night before the vampire attack.
“Does this have anything to do with what you were about to tell me?” I asked Lara to make sure that my guess was correct and she answered my question with a nod, her mouth locked tightly and she looked worried.
How surprised I was when I remembered the day I met the Alpha and Luna Mira, the car we were currently driving was the same as the car that the Alpha and her mother used that day; I’m starting to feel uneasy.
“But what is it?”
Before I could continue my questions and find out what had been on Lara’s mind, a rogue came out of nowhere and jumped on top of our car.
“Rogues!”
The teacher screamed and instantly it woke everyone who was sleeping in the car; it happened so fast that neither of us had time to blink.
The car we were driving in slipped and spun as if it were a roller coaster, my hand which at that time not holding my mother quickly caught her hand and held it tightly; we looked at each other and I didn't think that day would be the last day I could look my mom in the eye.
We were dragged five hundred meters from our final location, our bodies shook and neither of us realized where our feet and heads were at that moment, everything was chaotic and fused.
Our car stopped right at the side of the road and crashed into a huge tree, if the tree wasn’t there, we might have fallen into a ravine more than a thousand meters deep.
My body was thrown onto the side of the road, almost falling into the ravine and no one was crossing the road to Eden Spring considering that our road was only passed by only residents, at that moment I could not expect anything other than the arrival of the Moon Goddess to pick me up.
I tried to move my body with all my might, intending to check on the condition of the people still in the car, including my mother, but my efforts were futile because my bone was broken, my vision began to blur, and my ears began to ring loudly.
The numbness caused me to lose strength, and the wounds on my body made everything more chaotic; my breath was gradually weakening, and my eyes were gradually closing.
When my eyes were almost completely closed, I heard footsteps approaching me. The feet are flat, with shiny black loafers and black drill pants, but my consciousness faded before I could see who it was.
