The car lifted off the driveway the moment I landed my ass against the seat, I don’t even have a chance to kiss my mother’s gravestone and say my last goodbye before I leave, it makes me feel blue but I can do nothing at that time.
We drove back to the town, by that time all people had already got back to their houses and no more civilians are filling the street, only an empty road with threes around it as far as the eye can see. The queen made today a national holiday to respect my mother.
“Thanks, Moon Goddess, all people get back to their houses” I declared.
“If not, they will notice the rogues were attacking us and start to get panic” I heavily sighed and rested my back against the seat.
After a couple of minutes of driving, the guards and I finally arrived at my grandmother’s house, I get off the car the moment we arrive and walked straight into the house with the guards escorting me.
The situation was normal at that time and there was no sign of rogues, we were all safe in the town and the guards were still not manning every street yet.
One of the guards opened the door for me as we reached and I get into the house after that, my grandmother quickly gets up from the couch the moment she noticed I was there, she looks worried.
“You all right, love?” She inquired.
“Yes, grandmother, I am all right” I made my way toward her as I spoke.
“Have a seat, please!” She demanded, pointing her hand to the couch in front of her.
I then took my seat in tense and was thinking about Christopher and my father in the cemetery, it is been an hour since the rogues comes to our land, and both my father and Christopher still not coming back home.
“You look tense, sweetie! Your father will be all right” My grandmother started, she then commanded her servant to make some tea and the tea then come in a few minutes.
I took the tea with a tense smile on my face the moment it arrived, I don’t usually drink tea because it is not my thing and I prefer coffee to any drink.
“They will come back home soon! Don’t worry, just enjoy the tea, dear” My grandmother smiled at me and she then sipped the tea as if nothing happening to this land but she looked pissed off and I bet that come from the rogues' stuff.
I nodded and smiled before I sip the tea into my throat, the jasmine tea then running down my throat the moment I sipped it and the tea made me calmer than before, I took a deep breath after sipping the tea and settle myself down with the jasmine scent that came from the tea.
Both my grandmother and I waited in the living room for all people to come back from the cemetery, the guards were there escorting us and some of the kept on guard outside of my grandmother’s house.
My father then stepped into the house, making both my grandmother and I got up from our seats, I quickly ran toward my father the moment he arrived and hugged him after that.
“Thanks, Moon Goddess, you were safe” I declared as I hugged my father.
I released myself from my father’s torso and immediately ran to Christopher who was standing right behind him, felt so relieved when everyone finally gets home safely.
“Oh, Chris, I was worried about you!” I groaned in relief as I hugged him, my cousin then caressing my back and smiling.
“I’ve told you they will never get you if I’m here! Don’t worry sister, I’m fine” Christopher said, our hugs then released.
My head shook as I chuckled after listening to my cousin’s declaration; I was blushing at that time. My father then told my grandmother that everything is under control and there will be no rogues entering Eden Spring anymore, the atmosphere became tense again after that.
“How did they get through our gate?” My grandmother inquired, she was fed up.
“We still investigating it, mother! I’m sure we will figure it out soon” My father responded with tension.
“Are you sure they are not here anymore? Have the guards checked every state of Eden Spring?” My grandmother asked.
“We killed the five rogues and I’m sure there’s none of them left” My father responded and everything became clear, my grandmother now move to the next plan.
“Well, because everything is clear up now, no more rogues or anything attacking us, I guess we are ready to invite all the Red Bloods to the palace” My grandmother, queen Hermione is now smiling, nothing made her upset anymore.
But her smile made my father and I dismay, we both know this is a disaster for both of us and nothing can save us from the queen if she finds out that the heir got no wolf until now.
My father and I stared at each other the moment she declared the plan, my heart started to race faster than it used to and my breath became heavy; I was so scared.
“Mother, I don’t think this is a good idea considering we just got attacked at the cemetery! Everyone might be still alarmed now” My father tried to convince the queen and stop her from doing her plan.
“Well, Adrian, that is not a big deal! The attack is nothing to us! Everyone safe is all matter and now we can move on” My grandmother stated.
Alpha Adrian can do nothing after that, my grandmother then commanded the guards to invite all the Red Blood’s pack members to her house tonight and the guards then leave to spread the news.
We still have a lot of guards keep on guard of us but even though we are safe now, I am still concerned about the rogues that might come back to get me.
“You can get to your room, Elora… The servants will prepare you for tonight!” My grandmother demanded and continued. “Take Christopher with you too” She declared.
Christopher and I then stepped out of the living room and walked upstairs, it is been months since I did not visit the palace and seen my room there, I have no clue what my bedroom looks like right now, it must be messed up.
I opened the door and how surprised I was when I see everything is well maintained then I realized this is not my house which had no servants in it, it was the queen’s palace.
“I was so stupid to think that this room would be messed up when I open it” I chuckled as I kept continuing. “I forgot it was the queen’s house, not mine!” I said.
Both Christopher and I then get into the bedroom, I then sat on the bed while my cousin sat on the couch which is located near the huge window right next to the bed, Christopher then starts a new conversation to break the silence.
“You know what, I am so happy that you were the one who will stand on the throne, not Harrison La Luna! Ugh, I hate him” He groaned.
“I hate him too! But he's still our cousin and he’s not that bad anyway” I chuckled.
The queen’s servant then knocked on the door, startling both Christopher and me, I then told that servant to open the door because it wasn’t locked at all.
One female servant gets into the room with two paper bags in her hands; she makes her way toward me and placed the paper bags on the bed as she arrived.
“The queen wanted you to wear this outfit for tonight, Lady Elora”
