My heart beat irregularly that night, just like the Red Bloods waiting for the queen to continue her words, I was waiting for her to end this torture so I wouldn’t have to wait until my heart bursts out of my chest.

　　The spotlight became brighter and brighter as it shone on me, stabbing my eyes in those white lights and the quiet place make my ears buzz, I trembled so does my father who was thinking of huge steps to avoid trouble after the announcing.

　　There are hundreds of eyes staring at me at that moment, they are confused and curious, never crossed their minds that the Adrian family would step on the throne this quickly when all members know that I never want to be part of this.

　　Being a leader is not my cup of coffee and it makes all of them happy because they had a chance to be on the throne and cut Adrian’s bloodline from the throne, but my step turned out to ruin their desire.

　　Queen Hermione started to run her gaze at me, her mouth corner forming into a small smile when the microphone had almost pressed on her lips and with a smile on her face, the queen spilled words that shocked everybody.

　　“I am Queen Hermione, will abdicate, and named Elora Adrian as my successor”

　　When the queen finally said my name, all the eyes that were staring at me bulged in disbelief, their mouths half-opened as if their soul was about to escape. The La Luna then stepped further and leaves their spot, being a spotlight afterward.

　　“I apologize, Your Honor! But Elora just turned seventeen” Lord Harry La Luna declared from his spot, his wife and son were standing next to him at that time so does his followers behind him.

　　“My brother stood on the throne when he was seventeen before handed it to me…” The queen talked about Alpha Adrian’s father, my late grandfather.

　　“But it’s different, my queen… We were in a difficult phase at that time” Lord Harry replied, he went against the queen’s decision. “Would it be better for you to choose a more suitable successor who is ready for it?” Lord Harry suggested.

　　His suggestion made the queen upset, the atmosphere became tenser as the queen’s face crumpled and all people in the palace did not dare to open their mouths. Lord Harry crossed his line and it was the first time someone dared to go against the queen’s decision.

　　My grandmother then asked him about who is the suitable successor he was talking about, Lord Harry then named his son, Harrison La Luna.

　　“I expected you to give me a better candidate, Harry! Your son does not even could beat Adrian’s daughter when they are in training” My grandmother said.

　　The queen talked about the test that Harrison and I took two years ago. When I was fifteen years old I beat Harrison in the final round of the fight, getting the highest score ever since.

　　“You can test him, my queen! Harrison wouldn’t mind” Lord Harry throw down the gauntlet at the queen.

　　It would be hell for me if my grandmother accepted Lord Harry’s challenge. Harrison could beat me at any time with his wolf form, or worse people will know that I still had no wolf, I will embarrass my father and the queen, and even my mother in the grave will feel ashamed if that happens.

　　My father then made a move to protect us and stop the bad thing that would embarrass our family to happen, he told his cousin that was unnecessary. But the queen stopped my father to prove to everyone that I deserve to stand on the throne as she believes.

　　“Let Lord Harry do what he thinks right, Adrian…”

　　“Do any of you here disagree with Lord Harry’s challenge?”

　　Queen Hermione inquired and anyone in the palace shook their heads, everyone agreed with the challenge and they all send me to my grave with this agreement.

　　My grandmother trusts me with all her heart and if tonight she finds out that I got no wolf, she will make my life as if I were in hell for embarrassing her and the Red-Blood pack will disrespect my father for having a wolfless daughter.

　　Both my father and I could do nothing but accept anything that will happen to us after this, my grandmother then pleases Harrison La Luna to take his position in the middle of the ballroom, now there are two spotlights surrounding the place, one shone Harrison’s face and the other stay with me.

　　Harrison immediately undoes his tuxedo and shows everyone in the palace his muscular arms, all the eyes were on him and they can’t even close their mouths after seeing his powerful arms.

　　I gulped my saliva in tension knowing that I will lose out in the first minute of fighting, Harrison La Luna right now is different from what I know before; this guy is stronger than what I fought two years ago.

　　“Now your turn, my dear” My grandmother proudly pleases me to join Harrison La Luna in the middle of the ballroom.

　　I nodded, slowly leave the place where I stood, and walked toward the middle of the ballroom, solicitudes was evident on my father’s face when he saw me begin to take my position in the middle of the ballroom.

　　“They both have to fight using their wolf form because with that their strength will be a draw! There is no discrimination and differences between them… and we will talk further about who will stand on the throne after finding the winner”

　　The queen declared, at that time the atmosphere of the ballroom was so quiet because people were busy looking at both Harrison and me who were getting ready to fight, they can’t wait to see the battle.

　　But something stopped both Harrison and me from fighting, the two of us can’t make it to fight because one of my relatives who were there on my seventeen birthday opened her mouth, her words protected me from Harrison’s boxing but led me to my extinction.

　　“How could she beat Harrison La Luna? Adrian’s daughter is wolfless” My father’s cousin, Omega Lena declared from the crowd, it made all the quests shocked.

　　Queen Hermione immediately ran her gaze at me after listening to Omega Lena's declaration, her brow raised at that time and she looked upset, but still disbelieving in what Omega Lena said, the queen wanted to hear the truth from my mouth.

　　“Is what Omega Lena said true?” My grandmother asked me but at that time I could only lower my head and not say a word.

　　She started to direct her gaze to my father when she did not get any answer from me, at that time the atmosphere became tense when the La Luna family started demanding to dethrone Adrian’s family.

　　My father also did not say anything when the queen threw the same question at him, only disappointment in the queen’s eyes as far as the eye can see at that time after learning that the Adrian family might step down from the throne and she would be the last line of Adrian's family on the throne and after that none of us will rule again in the future.

　　“Adrian will not answer your question, my queen! I think this might be fate from the Moon Goddess that another family will rule the Red-Blood pack after this” Lord Harry La Luna stated.

　　But my grandmother seemed to have another plan, instead of listening to Lord Harry La Luna, she called the royal adviser to bring something that all of us never expected. As the queen said, she does not want anyone else to rule the pack except Adrian’s family and she still stands on that desire as long as she still rules the Red Blood.

　　The crowd started to wonder in confusion the moment after the royal adviser got on the podium and stood next to the queen. Realizing his position in danger, Lord Harry La Luna started to make riot.

　　Lord Harry La Luna convinces the members of the Red Blood’s pack by saying that someone who doesn’t have the wolf form can’t lead the Red Blood and everyone was agreed with him, they’re up against the queen even though she hasn’t even made up her mind yet.

　　But she didn’t give a damn; the queen shut all of the pack members by giving them a statement that no one else in this world can say about. All people finally get back to the place they were standing and open their ears to listen to Queen Hermione.

　　“I named Elora Adrian not because she was my brother’s granddaughter”

　　Queen Hermione started her word and everyone was listening to her including Lord Harry La Luna in the crowd.

　　“All the kids here are my granddaughter and grandson because we all came from one great-grandparent”

　　“The Red-Blood evolved thousands of years ago and resulted in the family we have now, as queen I am fully responsible for maintaining this pack by choosing a successor that will keep our family treasure safe, and I believe Elora Adrian is the right candidate! That’s why I named her because I don’t want the family treasure to be in the wrong hand”

　　“And if any of you object to that, I have something that you probably want to hear”
