CHAPTER 140 Overwhelming Control

  LYDIA'S POV

I forced myself to stay calm, to think rationally. "You'll never have the throne," I said, my voice steady. "Brandon and Evan will come for me. They will stop you."

Cameron's eyes flickered with irritation. "Let them come. They will find that I am not so easily defeated. I have seen those two lapdogs, If they come here I will train them as they are. Or rather how dogs should be treated, by throwing them a bone."

I spat on his face and said, "They are a lot more than just lapdogs. And you'll never understand this because you are rotten to the core. You are disgusting. You are just a freak."

I knew that making him angry was not a good thing but I would not let him insult my mates.

He doesn't know that they are my mates and that's better because I have no idea what he'll do to them if he finds out. Something about him seems a little off.

"I know that they both love you a little too much and with time you have gotten attached to them as well, but soon your priorities will change."

I knew making him angry wasn't wise, but I wouldn't let him insult my mates. He didn't know they were my mates, and it was better that way. I had no idea what he'd do to them if he found out. Something about him seemed off.

"I know they both love you a little too much," Cameron sneered, wiping the spit from his face. "And with time, you've gotten attached to them as well. But soon, your priorities will change."

I struggled against my restraints, my fury burning brighter. "You'll never break me, Cameron. I will always fight you."

Cameron's grin widened, a sinister glint in his eyes. "We'll see about that, Lydia."

He raised his hand, and I felt a strange, suffocating pressure. His magic wrapped around me, an overwhelming force that pressed down on my chest. I tried to resist, to push back with my own power, but it was like trying to fight against a tidal wave.

"You see, Lydia, I've been preparing for this," Cameron said, his voice dripping with malicious glee. "I've become something more than just an Alpha. I've tapped into ancient powers, made sacrifices you can't even imagine."

Pain shot through my body as the magic intensified. I screamed, my voice raw with agony. My wolf howled inside me, but even she was powerless against this dark force.

"Soon, you will see things my way," Cameron continued, his eyes glowing with a malevolent light. "You will understand the futility of resistance."

I felt myself slipping, the pain and pressure too much to bear. But I clung to the thought of Brandon and Evan, their faces, their love giving me strength. I couldn't give up. I couldn't let Cameron win.

  "You… won't… break… me," I gasped, each word a struggle.

Cameron laughed, a cold, cruel sound. "We'll see about that, Lydia. We'll see."

With a final surge of power, the darkness overwhelmed me, and I sank into unconsciousness.

When I woke up again, the room was dimly lit, and I was still bound. But something was different. The weight of Cameron's magic wasn't just a presence—it was a part of me now. My mind was clouded, thoughts of rebellion and escape drowned out by a new, pervasive loyalty.

Cameron stood over me, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "Lydia," he said softly, "how do you feel?"

I tried to speak, but the words caught in my throat. Finally, I managed to whisper, "I feel… different."

Cameron smiled, a chilling expression of triumph. "Good. Very good. You see, Lydia, you belong to me now. Your strength, your will, your loyalty—they are all mine."

A part of me screamed in the depths of my mind, but it was distant, a mere whisper against the overwhelming tide of Cameron's control. I looked up at him, my eyes glazed with a new, unnerving obedience. "What do you wish of me, Alpha Cameron?"

He stroked my cheek, his touch sending shivers down my spine. "You will stand by my side as my queen. You will help me rule, and together, we will take the throne. Your mates, your kingdom—everything you once held dear will serve me."

The words came out automatically, a testament to his power over me. "Yes, Alpha Cameron. I will serve you."

Cameron's laughter echoed through the room, a sound of pure, unrestrained victory. "Excellent, Lydia. Together, we will be unstoppable."
