CHAPTER 119 A Pivotal Support

  Emma's pov

The meeting with Matthew was quick, along with my people. We indeed established Sun Curve Island as a neutral ground for the meeting.

"The sorcerers will be able to set up protections around, so no enchanted weapons or even lethal firearms can be used," Faylen, my beta, communicates seriously.

"Great. I spoke with Liam, my beta, and we will both send the invitations to all the wolf packs on the continent in the name of Alpha Emma," Matthew informs. His beta, Liam, agrees with a nod.

"So, what else needs to be done?" Kylian asks with a voice full of anxiety and expectation.

My mate Matthew and I exchange a look, and a smile of complicity emerges between us. Under the table, Matthew's hand seeks mine, and our fingers intertwine in union, making my entire body feel deeply connected to him.

"We wait for the day of the meeting to arrive," I declare confidently and feel Matthew squeeze my hand affectionately, supporting every decision I've made so far.

The day of the meeting does not take as long as I thought it would. The days flew by, with my entire pack focused on preparing for any mishap on the island. I spoke with several sorcerers who were willing to create protective spells and even become security during the meeting at the Sun Curve Island resort.

A day before the meeting, Matthew and I checked into the resort to make sure everything was in order. My anxiety lingered in my stomach for several hours, causing nausea and headaches.

"I know a very good technique to make that go away, you know?" Matthew comments behind me, hugging me and resting his hand on the hem of my lace panties.

We are on the balcony of our room at the resort. The view of the beach and ocean in front of us is breathtaking. The sky is cloudless, and the morning sun is already warming our sleepy bodies.

"And what technique would that be, my love?" I ask curiously as Matthew's fingers start to caress my bare stomach, his fingers gliding over the fabric of my panties, and I let out a low moan.

I let my head fall on his shoulder, exposing my neck, which Matthew began to kiss. His fingers push my panties aside, and I spread my legs a little more so his fingers can find my already throbbing clit.

Matthew's masturbation indeed makes all my anxiety disappear after I come on his fingers, facing the sea. He seductively licks his own fingers.

"Your pussy tastes delicious, you know?" he declares with malice, and I pull him in for a kiss to taste his saliva mixed with my flavor.

In the elevator, I balance my weight from one leg to the other and check my reflection in the elevator mirror once more.

"You look perfect, Emma," Matthew declares affectionately toward me.

I'm wearing a tight red skirt just above my knee, and a white thin-strapped shirt. I tried to opt for a more serious and professional outfit but ended up thinking I looked overdone.

However, all this is overshadowed the moment I enter the conference room provided by the resort. It's full, very, very full!

There are wolf pack leaders from all over the continent. Female and male Alphas I didn't even know existed, and for a few minutes, I ended up thinking my goal might indeed be just a dream.

"Be confident. It'll work out, Emma. We're here with you!" Accalia declares excitedly within me, and I feel Eldras agree with an encouraging growl.

I head towards the stage in the conference room, where there's a lot of chatter, and I feel all eyes on me with every step I take. The tension in the air is more than palpable; it's visible.

Many have looks of distrust, and some of discontent. But I see, in the front rows, my wolf pack, along with Matthew and Daniel. All of them have happy faces upon seeing me, which makes me feel more at ease.

I deliver my introductory speech, explaining how I created my wolf pack and my vision of peace for these challenging times. At first, there were debates; some did not agree with my idea of keeping us all united, and helping one another without territorial disputes. This makes me a bit nervous, but I don't let it affect me too much.

"I know this is new. I know many of you may think I'm naive, youthful, and inexperienced. But I have faced a battle. I saw my friends die and saw bodies mutilated, and for what? A bit more land? A little more control? Power?" I question with a firm, serious voice.

I wait a few moments for everyone to reflect on my words. I look at each of the leaders who have taken the time to come here and listen to me.

"What I am offering is not something impossible. It's just the most advantageous path. The correct one. The most hopeful for all of us. Who would like to be part of this new beginning?" I ask with more cheerful enthusiasm.

However, silence reigns for several minutes, murmurs begin to arise, and I feel my hands sweating with nervousness.

"I do!" Daniel suddenly declares, standing up from his place in the second row in front of me. "I am the heir to the Direwolf Pack. And I deeply know and admire Alpha Emma of the Stonehaven Pack."

Daniel moves through the chairs, leaving the second row. He walks down the aisle until he's close to the platform where I am. Everyone is looking at him attentively.

"There is no reason, as Emma herself stated, for us to continue this war. With these losses of lives. We can be a prosperous continent, united!" Daniel declares. "I stand with Alpha Emma. For the future, we all deserve to have!"

Daniel initiates a round of applause, which is gratefully accepted. Many leaders who previously looked at me with skepticism now nod in agreement with my idea, causing enormous relief in my heart.

"I think we did it!" Eldra celebrates within me.
