CHAPTER 140 A Celebration of Love

  Emma's pov

"Your big bad wolf," I comment after our lips part.

"Just your wolf. The 'bad' is relative," Matthew replies with a seductive voice, and I bite my lip at his words.

I feel Matthew is afraid of losing sight of me as we leave the Moonshadow Pack's territory. He drives me home, and the day is already dawning on Stonehaven Pack's hill, bringing a fresh start for all of us.

"Can I come in?" Matthew suddenly asks, and I blink at him in surprise.

"Of course, I thought you'd prefer to go back to your place and rest," I say, surprised, and Matthew shrugs.

"I already feel at home, Emma..." Matthew replies with a gentle, low voice, making my heart melt even more for him.

A smile spreads across my lips, and I kiss my fiancé with all that I am and have.

I prepare a bath for Matthew, something I had never done for myself or anyone else. I place aromatic candles, a bottle of wine, and some small snacks that were still in my kitchen. When my fiancé enters the spacious and fragrant bathroom, he is surprised by all the preparations I've made.

"Damn! Emma, this is... perfect!" he comments impressed and somewhat stunned, standing at the bathroom entrance.

"I think it's time someone took care of you for a few minutes. Come," I beckon Matthew with my fingers, and my fiancé soon begins to undress.

There's a more than palpable sexual tension, felt by everything around us. But it goes beyond the desire I feel for my fiancé, for my mate and his body. It's for his soul that I yearn, for his love, his touch, and affection.

My hands glide over Matthew's body as he sits submerged in the tub, washing his shoulders and massaging them gently, removing every tense knot. I wash his hair and feel the softness of his strands.

I slide my hand all over his defined abdomen and feel my partner's breathing quicken when I get my fingers right to the hard, thick length of his cock.

"Emma..." a moan escapes his lips and that gives me the signal I need to start pleasuring my partner.

  **Three Months Later**

"Hold your breath just a little so I can pull the zipper all the way up, Alpha Emma," Amélia whispers behind me, her voice almost a hiss as she gathers the fabric of my wedding dress. I feel the delicate satin texture against my skin, a sensation that was comforting when I first tried it, but now only fuels my anxiety.

I do as she asks, holding my breath. I feel her chubby, soft fingers slide up my back as the zipper closes completely, the metallic sound muffled by the fast beats of my heart... I exhale a bit relieved, yet my heart still races with anticipation.

"Would you like some champagne, Emma? To calm your nerves?" Amélia asks, her face appearing in my view. The soft morning light filters through the window, highlighting the details of my dear friend's face.

Amélia's makeup is stunning, her brown eyes now with a golden shimmer that matches her bridesmaid dress perfectly, the eyeliner delicately enhancing her oval-shaped eyes.

"No, thank you, Amélia. I'd prefer something sweet, I'm starving," I reply with a laugh.

"A sweet treat coming right up for the bride, folks, excuse me!" Amélia declares animatedly, stepping away from the small stage where I stand finishing putting on the dress.

I chuckle at her dedication for today. She and Faylen have been the best wedding maids, along with Gaya and Thalia. The two Night Howlers' wolves are tasked with keeping the guests in their designated places, a job that requires a lot of organization and patience.

The preparation room is bustling, making me feel a bit dizzy. There are makeup artists still adjusting some things on my face, and the hairdresser putting the final touches on the hairstyle before the veil goes on. The scent of fresh flowers mixes with the smell of beauty products, creating a special and almost magical atmosphere.

"Emma, everything is ready. Gaya informed me the guests are already seated. Thalia made sure the invited alphas were spread out to prevent any unnecessary friction," Faylen informs me calmly and happily, her gentle tone bringing some peace to my jittery heart.

There's a sparkle in her eyes that fills me with genuine joy. Faylen has been with me since the founding of this pack, and like me, she suffered so much from those closest to her and the trust they broke, that I am proud to see her happy like this.

"Daniel does that to people, doesn't he? Him being her destined mate was a blessing!" Accalia remarks within me, her wolf's voice a comforting whisper in my mind.
