[FLASHBACK: THE DAY AFTER FANGBORNS' TRAGIC FUNERAL]

　　It has been one whole day since the embarrassment dawned on me. One whole day since the Prince of Whispering Lycan Kingdom dismissed my words and interfered with my great plans on taking over the Darkforest pack!

　　Torin from their pack was constantly glaring at me, and he finally asked what have I done? The question should be...what could I even do against such a powerful person!? I cannot go against my rival, not yet.

　　My main goal in obtaining the Darkforest pack is to merge with them and grow so strong that the Lycan Kingdom should acknowledge me as their rival as well. I wanted to imbibe fear within the lycans of Whispering Pines Kingdom, but all because of their witty Alpha Prince, my plans have been soiled greatly!

　　I felt way too frustrated, I almost saw no way out of this situation.

　　This was until Beta Torin contacted me late in the evening, his ID on the screen made me roll my eyes.

　　As soon as I picked up the phone, I spoke into it, "Are you calling me to yell at me again, Torin?"

　　"No. I've already done that several times since yesterday, Alpha Lupus. What you must know from me by tonight is that I have a plan that will get us back on track." His words made me curious. I changed my posture on the bed, no longer leaning defeatedly on the headboard.

　　"I'm listening..."

　　"Someone is a vengeful woman who can take part in the trials for you. Since you are not eligible nor even invited to participate in those God-forbidden trials, I propose someone from a known pack. She's our ally, too." I crushed my eyebrows together. It's a woman?

　　"Yes, it's a woman. The point is that she's good at her game. And will comply with our needs as well. She's coming your way," just as Beta Torin finished speaking about her, I heard the telephone ring from the other corner of my dark room. I was curious, and answered the telephone,

　　"Alpha Lupus, someone is here to visit you. Her name is..." There was a pause,

　　"She wants to meet you personally, Alpha."

　　"Send her in." I responded back in a heartbeat. Torin stayed on the line until the doors to my dark room opened. Flowing in with the light, the woman walked after the guards who introduced her.

　　"I think she has reached you, Alpha Lupus. Best of luck." Saying, Beta Torin cuts the call as a smirk spreads on my face.

　　"No...way..." the lights were switched on, and I get to see her face once again.

　　"It's you...Alexia Thorn."

　　"The woman from the Nightshade pack." Alexia adds in, a smirk on her face as well. With my hand gestures, I dismissed the guards who closed the doors on their way back. I scoffed with the smile still on my face.

　　"Aren't you a cheeky one?"

　　"Aren't you the ambitious one?" Whoa, she has a speedy mouth like her as well. I walked to her and slowly circled around her. I observed Alexia, she was not conscious but rather confident as hell as she never wiped the smirk off her face.

　　"I...Will get straight to the point."

　　"Please do," Alexia insisted as I smirked at her overflowing confidence. Although, I think her confidence and arrogance stems from the way she had led her life up until now.

　　My hands couldn't help but reach to touch her soft skin. Her face was healthy and skin was glowing, she might be even prettier than the young little Heir of Darkforest pack. Alexia Thorn...my body still craves for your touch. The night you've touched me, and let me touch you as well...I'll never forget that experience.

　　"However...The plan will be disclosed to you in a setting close to confidentiality. Are you ready for it, Alexia Thorn?"

　　"Always. You know how much I despise the woman we are talking about." The smirk came back to my lips. I stared at her body, the tight dress that hugged her waist perfectly and the deep v-neck that enhanced her true beauty. Her slender legs were filled with scars from training and well, other sacrifices she's made.

　　As someone from a rough background, Alexia Thorn sure knows how to maintain herself. That makes me crave her even more.

　　"Follow me. I'll explain everything to you, and what you shall be doing as my beautiful ally," She chuckled, her pearly teeth on display.

　　After briefing her about the plan I've devised improvised on the spot, having enough awareness about the Trials that were going to happen in Whispering Pines Lycan Kingdom, I take a deep breath in.

　　The way I have planned it seems easy on the surface. But with many elements imbibed into the planning, I’m pretty sure Alexia can manage it.

　　I imagine the usurping of Prince Emeric from his beloved kingdom like this...

　　With the trails ongoing, Alexia will have a sudden lateral entry into the list of contestants. It will catch someone specific, off guard. Oh, I want to be there when Aurora discovers who had made a lateral entry into the pack. The look on her face will surely make my day~

　　And then, while trials go on, I will pull some strings on Aurora first. Why am I targeting Aurora first, you might ask. That’s because I want her to reveal the location of her pack’s artifact to me!

　　Yes...The Darkforest pack’s artifact...

　　It’s rumored to be a prophecy teller, which shall give one who it owes liberation, immense and unfathomable power. I cannot wait to get my hands on the artifact. In fact, Aurora might reveal its location to the interim alpha of her pack. She doesn’t know that her pack’s loyal Beta Torin is much loyal towards me than he was ever to their pack!
