~Aurora~
The night passed after I changed into my night garments and slept my feelings away. The next morning, I woke up relatively refreshed. My first thought wasn't about Prince Emeric, but it was about Odin. The night's incidents came to haunt me later, but i deliberately dismissed them for the fact that I don't want to do anything with Prince Emeric at the moment.
I walked to my small wardrobe and looked through the many clothes I own. They were all designer clothes, meaning, my lifestyle before entering the trials was all about maintaining female friendships. Now all I wear are sweatpants and joggers, even if I go out for training.
"I have to revamp my closet to my current personality now." I said to myself with a sigh. Picking out a lilac loose tee and a grey sweatpants, I matched it with a hoodie since it's been a little too cold these days. It's in the morning, too. And I'm pretty sure Odin would come by at nine in the morning sharp, to walk with me towards the dinner hall. It's become our little routine. And it's a sweet routine, where I don't feel lonely anymore. Or like a probably outcast...
After preparing for the breakfast, I sat in the middle of the bed in silence. I wondered if I should tell Odin about last night, or not. It's probably wise to not let him into the details, but still...
*knock knock knock*
My confused eyes turned to the door. I'm pretty sure it's mine, but as I watched the clock, I realized we still had half an hour time until our regular.
Yawning shamelessly, I opened the door.
"Whoa, good morning." Odin wished me from the other side of the doorframe, lifting his eyebrow.
"Why are you awake so early?"
"Very funny, Odin. Why are YOU here so early? I was about to take a half an hour nap."
"Boo-hoo. Come, let's go on a walk."
"To the garden?" I asked, he nodded. Pulling me out of the room and making me lock the door properly, we headed to the serene side of the east wing. The garden that made us walk all around the corridor, taking two lefts south.
"Ah," I sighed after my bum hit the bench. Odin chuckled, still standing and towering next to me. There was a respectable amount of space between us.
"You sound like a grandma already. And you're not even a global adult." His term made me chuckle naturally!
"Pft! What is a 'global adult'?"
"I heard few humans aren't adults until 21. So globally, you're not an adult yet." We laughed at his crude joke.
"Is everything alright, Aurora?" I looked up after calming down. Odin had his arms folded over his chest as he looked down at me.
"Yes. Why do you ask?"
"Just had to ask. So tell me, what books have you been reading lately?" Odin finally took the seat next to me on the bench. We started conversing about banal yet small things that kept our dialogues flowing.
"Yo, Aurora."
"Yeah?" After a moment of silence, Odin grew serious as I could sense it in his tone. Growing curious, I faced my body towards him.
"What is it?"
"I've been wondering if you could— nevermind."
"That's very suspicious. I already told you I don't share my books so easily, Odin. Do you know how difficult it was to convince the librarian to let me borrow that specific book!?" After I defended what I thought was about, I saw Odin simply staring at me. Suddenly, he broke into a chuckle!
"Hey!"
"Oh Goddess...you're such a naive little girl, aren't you?"
"What do you even mean by that? I'm not naive. I...I, nevermind." He chuckled even louder, throwing his head back and all!
"But hey, I'm a little jealous about your loving conditions. There is a reason why I insist on not coming into your room." Odin suddenly revealed as my eyes widened.
"Hey. I didn't know about this. Why do you refuse to come into my room? I thought maybe...like...you are trying to respect my privacy?" Wow, I'm really curious now.
"It's actually...because I think you've got a super luxurious room when compared to mine. I've hung out with other dudes here before, Aurora. And I know for sure than Clara and the other girl, their rooms were tiny compared to yours too. It's as if you've got a foot or two space more than us. And trust me, that's enough luxury when compared to our rooms." My eyes widened.
Something in Odin's eyes dull down when mine shimmer in realization.
Does this mean...?
"Um, if you don't mind Odin, can I take a look at your room?"
"Of course, Aurora. But I hope I didn't, you know, trigger something in you."
"Nothing at all. Let's go." And we stood up from the bench. While walking to his room, my mind was filled with trifling thoughts. Why would I be getting the biggest room for myself while others get equally divided portions of smaller rooms?
Does Prince Emeric have a hand in this?
Why was he trying to prove to me, since the beginning of everything, that he's been attracted to me?
"Here," After opening the door to show me his room, Odin looked at my expression. Meanwhile, I was busy noticing how small his room was! Even the roof was built relatively lower. What does this mean?
Well...it could only mean one thing.
"Hey, Aurora. Are you alright? You seem a bit...pale."
