CHAPTER 109: Clarity

  ~Aurora~

It has been a long while before Odin and I exited the room. I did not hint to Odin that I was actually having feuds with Emeric at the moment. I just felt the need to not let him know right now. But surely I will let him know soon that I got Emeric and Alexia talking to each other in secrecy.

"Hey Aurora, do you want to meet my father?" My eyes widened at his sudden proposal. In any other case, I would present myself very consciously and try to make an impression with the alpha Stormchaser pack. Odin was looking through my hesitant behavior.

"Hey, it is okay if you don't want to meet him right now. Dad and I have actually come here to the kingdom to give advice to the Council of this Kingdom." I couldn't help myself but exclaimed at the fact that the Stormchaser pack's alpha was such an influential person for the kingdom of Whispering Pines!

Odin was smiling so big and blushing profusely as I found his gesture to be adorable. I turned to him and finally came to a decision.

"Umm… I think I want to meet your father." He raised his eyebrow at me almost as if questioning me for changing my mind so quickly.

"Why are you looking at me like that? I want to meet your father if it is fine with you!"

"Hey Aurora, it is always going to be fine for you to meet anyone in my family. Even though they ought to know that I am friends with a powerful Alpha female~" I chuckled at the way he said the words. It was very amusing and I was entertained for the afternoon.

"Oh and by the way how many people from your pack have come to the scene?" Odin was curious about my immediate response to the stress call which came from the Whispering Pines Kingdom.

"18 for now. Upon distress call, more will be deported in a heartbeat." I answered his question. Well, we were preparing to walk out of the room, finally.

"Come on, follow me." Odin was being a gentleman and opened the door for me as we stepped out of the room. Neither of us have realized that more than an hour has passed by. After this point I was convinced that neither Emeric nor Alexia would find me.

We were talking about trivial things as usual as we walked down the corridors to reach the courtroom. I peeped into the room and found a lot of people gathered and were on their way to disperse.

"Ah, look there is my old man coming." I found it amusing that Odin and his parents had such a good relationship between them. I was not jealous that he had a good relationship with his parents.

And thankfully, Emeric was not there at the scene as he was busy with the few more things around him.

His father approaches while humming a tune. He looked more jovial than Odin could ever look! But the striking white hair was a resemblance between the father and son duo.

"Hmm…so you are the Alpha of the Darkforest pack. It is a pleasure to meet you, Aurora." I gave the old man a wide smile and shook his hand firmly.

"The pleasure is all mine, Alpha Blackwood." He patted me on my shoulder and said, "I Never thought you would be this humble and sweet. From the way you were depicted in the media I thought you would be more outgoing and…actually a lot worse than that!" I simply chuckled at him and did not mind the words thrown at me.

I knew that the old man had no bad intentions with me.

"Aurora, did you know that my son talks about you very frequently. I am finally honored to meet the daughter of Den Fangborn!" Suddenly curiosity got the best of me as I asked him if he was familiar with my dad.

"Oh yes yes! Back then,he and I had been a good alliance until we got busy with our own lies. It was mainly because I had a kid and he had a kid as well. Parenthood may just be the most difficult transition for any species." I chuckle at his witty nature. I think I know where Odin gets his jovial and fun side from.

Suddenly the jealous son interrupts our conversation as we both chuckled at Odin.

"It is alright to be friends with my dad but do not be too close with him. He will make you laugh until your stomach is bursting and we do not want to afford losing an Alpha in this rotten world!"

After sharing a good laugh with each other I couldn't believe that we were having fun while the situation around the Kingdom has been nothing but a nightmare and a dreadful situation for everyone else. Suddenly the conversation went serious as soon as Blackwood senior had stopped smiling. Odin and I knew that he would want to discuss something that is important. A piece of information that both Odin and I must be aware of.

"Hmm… so the discussion that we just had as the Council was about new revelation from our enemy's side." Odin and I widened our eyes and looked at each other as if we were telepathically connected.

We were too curious to back down from the information that was being given to us right now. I needed to know more about the proceedings of their discussion. To be honest, I would be taking part as a member of the Council as I was finally an Alpha who had powers similar to Council members. Technically speaking I would be starting next week. But, oh well…

Odin's father had insisted that we move to a more private space because people have been looking at us weirdly. Hence we move back to the rooms which were now empty for discussions like this.

And then the bomb had been dropped on me.
