CHAPTER 123: Charging straight towards victory

  ~Aurora~

Hearts pumping, breaths rugged, legs and hands fighting all the vicious Alpha and their subordinates who dared to fight against us, Emeric and I were charging straight ahead towards victory!

They all seemed like a joke, a very sick joke to even fight with! This speaks lengths about how far I have come from a weakling without any wolf to a woman who had her strength supplied by both, her wolf and her own training! That's right. I was speaking about myself~

"Emeric, watch out!" I screamed as I noticed an enemy charging into Emeric with a sharp spear! Emeric quickly somersault and kicked the spear out of his hand! The impact was probably more than enough to pull his limb out, but Emeric was so into the war that he walked towards the defeated wolf. The wolf, cowering in fear took his steps backwards as Emeric walked towards him! For sure, Emeric looked terrifying at the moment.

"I'll take care of this crowd! You should proceed!" I yelled at Emeric. He looked at me for confirmation, and I nodded at him. The enemy count was only twenty three. I could handle them all by myself while giving Emeric a headstart onto finding Leif!

"Argh!" I quickly whipped my head around to find a woman who tried to slay my back with her sword! But I acted quickly and got myself out of the situation. I snatched the sword right from her hands. A menacing smile took over me. The woman was terrified, indeed!

I beheaded her in the blink of an eye. From there on, it was easier and faster to defeat all the enemies who were emerging from nowhere. I wondered what was the communication system between them. I wondered if Leif was alerted of the breach already. Turns out…Leif wasn't alerted of the breach…yet!

In a completely different scenario, there was a man that I had lost connection with after being defeated by Leif. He was right beside us as we fought against enemies together for three whole days. Yet…I couldn't even tell how he escaped from the situation. Maybe he always had the best kind of intuition. As always.

Odin was always an intuitive fighter. He would trust his gut feeling, no matter what.

Even now, he knew that the west division would be the best area to breach. He knew that the day of the full moon must be auspicious to all werewolves, because it enhances our abilities only slightly. It is not talked about much, but we are talking about the Stormchaser pack here. Their Warriors and leaders are the best of their kind— all intuitive.

While fighting a pack of wolves who were working as a team, I was suddenly taken aback. Their coordination was out of the world. I've never seen a team of three work like this! "No!" I exclaimed when the sword was knocked right out of my hands and the waistband that held my daggers was ripped by the slash I received on my back!

  That hurt!

'Maia, heal me!' I quickly requested Maia to work on me. I needed to be at my optimal level at all times!

  'Working on it!'

Meanwhile, he was slicing through everyone who was coming his way. Both of his daggers were covered in warm blood. His fight style was similar to mine, like always. How was he moving so fast? I was not aware of him advancing towards me until…

Suddenly, I felt the presence as I turned around. I was being overpowered by the force of warriors around me. I did not like this at all. I needed to establish dominance by stating that I am an alpha here! Maybe…it was always the trick that works: a leader can always be overthrown if there are enough people to overpower them…

…The sounds of speedy movements, almost like the sonic movements of a great warrior, made us all turn towards the new entrance to the battlefield. Who was he…?

It did not take me long to recognise who he was. As soon as I saw the dirty tuft of white hair bouncing with his movements, I knew who it was.

He stood with his back facing us, he was holding his daggers. They were drenched in blood, yet…he held something else as well…

  "Did you drop this, Fangborn?"

His cocky tone made me smile.

When we two joined forces, there was nothing that could stop us. Nothing.

Neither could this hoard of enemies who thought they were overpowering us. When in reality, we end the little commotion within minutes and walked away like nothing happened.

"Thank you for the assistance, Odin. That was cool as hell." I said to him, walking over a corpse. He chuckled,

  "I always look cool, don't I?"

  "Agreed on that."

"Well, I would like to join forces with you. Tell me the plan." I was surprised at Odin's proposal. I had told him that as we finished the fight earlier than we were supposed to, I told him that I'd meet up with Emeric at a basement of an individual house and discuss further. It was an abandoned building, according to the ruler of the kingdom.

"Emeric!" His eyes widened when he watched me run towards him for an embrace!

  "How come…?"

"It wasn't just me, you can tell. Well, someone else had joined forces with us and I want you to explain the plan to him as well." Emerging from the Shadows, Odin held a small, painful smile before he introduced himself.

  Oh…

I know why he was hiding his pain.

He just noticed the proximity between Emeric and I.

  "But Aurora, he's seen—"

"Don't worry about it. He knows that we are together. We are good friends." I assured Emeric.

It must have been hard for Odin to join our plan, Giving us his support while dealing with the proximity between Emeric and I. Overall, Odin was being a good sport. He didn't let his emotions get in the way and had offered us his full support in this plan.

"I will assist you to take him down. We will breach into his stronghold and lure him out. I promise." Said Odin as Emeric patted his shoulder,

"I will never forget your assistance in this crucial moment, Odin. Our forces have risen by almost twice with your involvement. You have all of my gratitude," Said Emeric,

"It is my honor that I could be of assistance, Prince Emeric. Let us proceed now. It is almost time…"
