Annie waited by the phone all night, hoping Damien would call. She'd left several messages on his answering machine but now that it was nearly eleven o'clock, she was afraid she wouldn't hear from him.

　　Suddenly, she heard a loud bang on the door. She froze for a minute then she jolted when the phone rang. She peeped at the phone and saw that it was Damien. Heaving a quick sigh she grabbed the phone.
