　　After Ellie's display, I stormed out of the place. Frustrated at her, I got into my car and drove off.

　　Although I had a meeting at the restaurant, I had to bail and reschedule it. I wasn't in the right head space and I don't want to fuck this gig up.

　　I drove out of the place and headed for a nearby bar. Heading there was a great idea plus I don't think driving in this state is any good.
