ARTEMIS' POV:-

　　Once I was done bathing, I stepped out of the water. He was right. The warm water soothed all my aching joints. By the time I was done enjoying the bath, the water was starting to get cold. Wrapping my arms around my body, I looked around for the towels. But I didn't know if I was even allowed to look into his things. "If you are done, you will find the towels in the first cabinet on the left." I heard Alpha Elijah's voice from outside. Shivering with cold, I rushed towards the cabinets. I grabbed a long and soft towel. I wrapped the towel around my body and stepped out of the bathroom. My heart fluttered as I saw him standing right in front of the bathroom.

　　He was staring at me from head to toe. For a moment, I felt like I was standing naked in front of him. My eyes went towards the towel on my body. To make sure it was still on my body or not. He cleared his throat and shook his head. Then he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the bed. "Look! I brought you lots of things. I didn't ask about your likes or dislikes. So if you don't like anything, let me know. Alright?" He said as he made me sit on the bed. My eyes were wide due to the shock I suddenly had received. The last thing I was expecting from him was a bunch of girly things.

　　For a good minute, I was staring at his face with wide eyes. He also didn't look away from my eyes. About a minute later, I blinked a few times. I looked down on a bunch of shopping bags in front of my eyes and then back at his face. "You bought all these things? For me? But why? You just practically gave me a place to live. Why would you buy me so much stuff?" I couldn't help myself but ask him. My tine was low and full of suspicion. Not because I didn't trust him. For some unknown reason, I trusted him. I had no idea why I trusted him. It was just a feeling. Maybe it was because he was kind towards me.

　　I was staring at his face, waiting for his response. My heart started to behave in a funny way. It was pounding against my rib cage as if it wanted to break free. Hearing my questions, a nervous smile appeared on his face. Which he was very quick to mask with his sweetness. "I bought all this because I don't want the others to see you walking around in my baggy t-shirts and underwear. I thought it would be better if you wore girl's clothes. Now quit asking so many questions. Just open all this up." He replied to me in a honey sweet tone while pulling my cheek as if I was a child. I didn't know why he thought of me as a child.

　　An annoying pout appeared on my face as he pulled my cheek. He let go of my cheek. With an angry look on my face I glared at him. As he saw me angry, he chuckled and ruffled my wet hair playfully. I shivered again because the windows were open. I grabbed one of the bags and peeked inside. While Alpha Elijah went towards the windows to shut them. My eyes widened as I saw a bag full of makeup items. I peeked in the second bag. It was filled with jewellery and different accessories, like hair ties, hair pins and clips. There were three bags filled with different sorts of shoes, heels and sandals. One of the bags was completely sealed. I opened it up only to be embarrassed. As it was filled with all sorts of underwear and braziers.

　　There were two bags full of different kinds of nighties. One bag had compy tank tops and shorts for sleeping. And the other one had sexy nighties. There was a bag with different kinds of jeans. A bag with jeans shorts. Two coats and three jackets in one bag. One bag had different types of shirts and tops. Two bags had different kinds of mini dresses. Two bags and long and beautiful gowns. A bag with perfumes, deodorants and colognes. A bag with shampoos, conditioners and other bathing accessories. And the last shopping bag had a purse, a clutch, a bag and three teddy bears. Although I knew he was being ridiculous for buying me teddy bears, I couldn't help but smile as I saw them. They were so cute.

　　One of the Teddie's was a strawberry bear. I always wanted one of those. "Hey! Why are you crying, baby girl? Did you not like all this stuff? Is there something wrong?" His voice brought me back to reality. I looked up at him and a tear touched my cheek. That's when I realised that I was actually crying. I wiped my tears and shook my head.

　　"No! I actually don't remember playing with toys. After my mother left, my father never bought me any toys. In fact, he burned the toys I still had at that time." I didn't know why but the truth came out of my mouth on its own. As if there was no wall between us.

　　He cleared his throat after a minute. That made me force my eyes back on his face. "Just go and change your clothes. I will be waiting for you in the kitchen. Don't be late. I don't like to wait." He said in a flat tone as he stood up and walked away. I blinked a few times out of confusion. He was suddenly behaving meanly as he was at night. In the morning, he was treating me well. Shrugging my shoulders, I looked into one of the bags. I grabbed a nude cowl top with black skinny jeans. I dried my hair with the towel and pinned them after parting them sideways. Once I was ready, I stepped out of the bedroom.

　　I first peeked my head out to the bedroom to look around if no one was around. My nose sensed many people in the penthouse. But I couldn't hear anyone else. Nor did I see anyone in the penthouse. I stepped out of the bedroom and tiptoed around, looking for the kitchen. "Follow my voice, Artemis. I am here." I heard Alpha Elijah calling me. I followed his voice as he had instructed me. I stepped into the kitchen and froze. My heart literally stopped for a moment as I saw him standing shirtless with the stove. He was cooking something. I had never seen a man shirtless ever before.

　　I couldn't help but stare at his perfectly toned back. Watching his muscles bulging as he cooked, it was actually heavenly. I never thought that my mind would be so perverted when it comes to men. Or if I was being honest, it only happened around him. "What are you doing there? Come here. Tell me what you want to eat." His voice pulled me out of the Dreamland I was lost in. Shaking my head, I walked towards him. As I reached closer, he grabbed me by my hips and made me sit on the kitchen counter. In front of his tall and muscular body, I looked merely like a child. Maybe that's why it was so easy for him to carry me around like a baby.

　　He looked at me from head to toe. I couldn't help but narrow my head. His gaze didn't feel uncomfortable. But his gaze was making my cheeks burn. "So tell me. What would you like to eat?" He asked me in a low tone. I could feel his eyes on my head, but I didn't dare to look up. He pinched my chin lightly and made me look up into his eyes.

　　"Umm.. anything will do. Until it's not moong dal. I am severely allergic to moong dal." I nervously replied to his question. Hearing my response, he chuckled while shaking his head. He ruffled my hair playfully again. I growled at him as he had destroyed my perfectly styled hair.

　　"Artemis! How many times do I have to remind you? You are not a prisoner here. Besides, we are not that cheap to feed moong dal to our prisoners. So even if you were a prisoner, you would have gotten a boiled chicken breast with some bread and some salad. Anyways, what can I make for you? Choose between pancakes, omelette and egg rolls. What's it going to be?" He spoke in the same mean tone as before. He looked like he was suddenly annoyed.

　　"Umm… Egg rolls. I will be good with egg rolls." I replied in a low tone while rubbing the back of my neck nervously. I was trying my best to keep my eyes off of his naked torso.

　　It was a little hard. Only God knew why. It never happened to me before. That I would keep staring at a man's naked body. "Smoothie, milk shake or coffee. I think coffee would be too much. But tell me anyway." He asked me in a low tone as he busied himself making egg rolls for me.

　　"Oh! Umm.. Chocolate milk shake will be fine. I don't like berry milkshakes. And the smell of smoothie makes me gag." I replied to him in a low tone. As he heard me, he chuckled softly. He stepped in front of me and caged me between his tall figure and the kitchen counter. I gulped hard while staring into his eyes. My heart felt like it would break free any moment.
