THIRD PERSON'S POV:-
It was early in the morning. Artemis was sleeping soundly in her bedroom. The apartment was drowned in silence. An elevator ding echoed in the apartment louder than expected. The elevator door opened and Emma stepped out of the elevator. "Elijah! We need to talk. I have something important to tell you." Emma yelled loudly as she ended the apartment. She looked around and frowned in confusion. It was just an hour after dawn. Emma was sure she didn't see Elijah's car in the parking lot. Daniel's car was also missing. It was near to impossible for Elijah to be sleeping after dawn. But Emma felt like she needed to check. Sighing in annoyance, Emma walked towards Elijah's bedroom. She wanted to talk to Elijah.
She knocked on the door of Elijah's bedroom a few times. But no one answered. Emma opened the door and found the bed untouched but a few of his things on the ground. Knowing her brother well, Elijah would never have touched the bed after he had woken up. In fact, it was Emma who used to make his bed after Elijah had left. But his things on the ground did tell Emma that he was not home. Elijah was a careless man. That was all until Artemis had arrived in Elijah's life. She was changing her brother. And she was changing everything around Elijah. Ever since Artemis came into that apartment, the apartment was always sparkling. Elijah's bed was always neatly made and her sheets changed every single day.
Emma saw a few creases on Elijah's bed. A signature that he went out but Artemis hadn't stepped into Elijah's bedroom. Emma took the opportunity and stepped into Elijah's bedroom. She set everything up. She placed everything the way she used to set. Artemis used her own way to set Elijah's bedroom. Emma set the bedroom and stepped out of the bedroom. Just then, she heard soft snoring sounds. She walked towards the room Elijah had given to Artemis. She slowly opened the door. The room was too dark for her to see anything. Emma used her wolf's eyes to check out the bedroom Elijah had given to Artemis. Her eyes went wide as she saw that Artemis' bedroom was luxurious.
Emma asked Elijah to give her that bedroom a long time ago. But Elijah bought her a new apartment instead. Saying that she had grown up and she had to work to provide for herself. She couldn't help but feel jealous of Artemis who was given everything without even asking. Artemis' bedroom was more luxurious than Elisha's bedroom. It was more luxurious than Emma's apartment. It was more luxurious than her uncle Grey's apartment. And it was Elijah who bought all three apartments for his family. Not even his own apartment was that beautiful and luxurious as Artemis' bedroom was. It boiled her blood as she saw Artemis sleeping peacefully in the bad her brother had bought for Artemis. She couldn't control her anger.
She walked towards the bed and looked at Artemis. She sniffed as a familiar scent hit her nostrils. She growled in annoyance as it was Elijah's scent she had sensed. He was in that same bed with Artemis. And yet he claimed that he was trying to take things slowly. Emma grabbed the pillow Artemis was hugging tightly. Before Artemis arrived, Emma used to be the centre of attraction. Everyone adored her because Emma was Elijah's only sister. Elijah spoiled her like a princess. Emma asked him for a room, and he gave her an apartment of her own. She asked for a Scooty, Elijah bought her a car of her own. He never raised his voice at Emma. He never yelled at her. He never scolded her even if she did something wrong.
For Elijah, Emma was his princess and he adored her so much. But then, Artemis stepped into their lives. The first time Elijah scolded Emma, was because of Artemis. The first time Elijah had yelled at Emma, was because of Artemis. One after another, Artemis was taking away everything Emma used to have. There was no one in this world who could have talked to Elijah while he was angry except for Emma. But since Artemis had arrived, Elijah was hardly ever angry. And if he got angry, all Artemis had to do was call his name. Elijah would melt down and smile, looking at Artemis. She was taking away the glory that Emma had before Artemis.
Emma gripped the pillow tightly as she was glaring at Artemis. Gritting her teeth in anger, Emma pressed the pillow on Artemis' face. Artemis started kicking and struggling to breathe. But Emma put all of her strength making sure Artemis would not get free. Artemis was starting to slow down. It meant she was close to her death. Just then, Emma heard a growl. Emma was not able to see what just happened. Within the blink of an eye, the pillow Emma was holding on Artemis' face was split in half. And Artemis was no longer on the bed. Emma looked around and before she could hear anything, something hit her hard in her back. Emma went flying towards the door of the bedroom.
Emma collided with the door of Artemis' bedroom. Another punch landed on Emma's back, breaking the door of the bedroom in shreds. Emma howled in pain as she felt shape claws digging deep into her skin. Emma turned her head to look at the person attacking her. She found Artemis standing on her back. She looked different. Her strawberry blonde hair had turned grey. Her eyes were still green but we're glowing. Her nails turned into claws. Her teeth turned into long fangs. "And you thought it would be damn easy to kill someone like me. How pathetic of you? I have been watching you for so long. Now I have gotten the chance to even the score." Artemis spoke in a sinister tone.
The look in her eyes terrified Emma. To Emma's surprise, Artemis had the claws if her feet dug up in Emma's back. With every single breath Emma took, she felt a sharp pain around her chest. Artemis didn't do much but Emma was pinned to the ground. It was the very first time when someone was able to pin the sister of the great Alpha Elijah down. A sudden but familiar sound made Artemis turn. Someone else was coming. She got off of Emma's back and laid down on the ground. Because of the pain, Emma didn't hear anything at all.
Thinking that Emma might have pushed Artemis down, overconfident Emma lounged herself at Artemis. "No! Please, don't do this. What did I ever do to you? Please, I don't want anyone to hurt me. Please, don't hurt me. Somebody help me please. She is trying to kill me." Artemis screamed on top of her lungs. Emma smirked mischievously as she grabbed Artemis' neck with both of her hands and choked her as hardly as she could. Artemis was kicking her legs and her hands were wrapped around Emma's wrists. She was trying to break free but Emma didn't let go.
