ARTEMIS' POV:-

　　Ryan and I made our way back to the meeting hall. As soon as I entered the meeting hall, Emma launched at me. She first punched my face hard. My back hit the wall behind me hard. Before I could understand what was happening, Emma grabbed my neck and slammed me back with the wall. My head hit hard with the wall behind me. "Emma! Hands off of Artemis, right now!" Uncle Grey yelled at Emma.

　　Instead of letting me go, Emma squeezed my neck. I started struggling to breathe and my lungs felt like they were on fire. A loud growl erupted in the meeting hall. It forced Emma to let go of me. I fell on the ground, coughing hard and trying to catch my breath.

　　I knew exactly whose growl made Emma step away from me. I looked up and found Elijah glaring at Emma. "What is the meaning of this? Didn't I warn you before to keep your hands to yourself during our meetings?" Elijah growled at Emma angrily as Uncle Grey walked towards me.

　　Uncle Grey knelt down on the ground and wrapped one of his arms around me. He helped me back up on my feet again. "Ask your play thing. You should be thankful that I let her go. Because my wolf wanted to rip her throat and the moment I saw her ugly face in this meeting." Emma yelled at Elijah angrily. I turned my head to look at Uncle Grey.

　　It didn't make sense because there was no way she knew anything about it. All eyes turned towards me. I could feel panic rising inside my chest as I saw everyone staring at me. "Why are you all looking at me like I might have committed a sin?" I asked everyone in a low tone. I was barely able to speak since I was not habitual of being the centre of attention.

　　"Have you, Artemis? Have you committed a sin? You are the only one who can answer that question." Taking advantage of the critical moment, Alisa asked me in a low tone. The mischievous grin on her face made it obvious that she was trying to make me look bad in front of everyone.

　　Before I could say anything to shut her up, I felt Tracy taking over my body. I tried to control her. But due to all the stress and the emotional war inside me ever since I saw my mother, my will had gotten weak. My hair turned blood red and they grew longer. My fangs grew bigger than my nails shifted into coyote claws.

　　"Bitch! If you like that empty head of yours on your shoulders, you better stay away from me. I am not as soft as Artemis. The next time I heard you annoying voice, I am going to rip your tongue out and stick it up your pussy that is still wet for some reason, you mother fucking whore." Tracy growled angrily at Alisa while glaring into her eyes.

　　Once she was done threatening, Tracy went back to her place, leaving me behind to deal with the consequences of her actions. With wide eyes, I was staring at everyone around me. "Alisa! Stay out of this. This is a pack meeting. You shouldn't be here in the first place. You are no longer a part of our pack." I sighed in relief as I heard Elijah showing Alisa her place.

　　"Yeah! That's what I was talking about! Tell that bitch where she actually belongs. I will reward you at night for backing me up here." Tracy chanted happily as she heard Elijah taking her side. Although I was angry at Tracy for appearing in front of everyone all of the sudden, I kinda felt satisfied the moment Tracy was yelling at Alisa.

　　Alisa narrowed her head as she turned around. But Emma grabbed her hand to stop her from leaving. "I called her to attend this meeting. I can't believe you just said that to Alisa just because your plaything didn't want Alisa to attend this meeting." Emma growled at Elijah angrily. Elijah's claws grew bigger as he dug his claws in his palm to calm himself down.

　　I ran towards Elijah and hugged his arm tightly. He turned to look at me and I shook my head. He loosened up his hands and I quickly intertwined my fingers with his. "You better watch your mouth when you are talking to me. There will be one day when the alpha's pride will kill your brother. You don't want to know what the Alpha will do to you." Elijah calmly warned Emma.

　　His gaze turned towards Alisa. I felt satisfied from inside as Elijah glared at Alisa. "I thought I told you to leave. This is a pack meeting. You should have refused Emma. Emma doesn't want to grow up, but you are wise enough to know your boundaries when you visit another pack." Elijah growled at Alisa angrily.

　　Alisa cleared her throat and a nervous smile appeared on her face. Without sparing at glance at Emma, Alisa stepped out of the meeting hall. "Ryan, go after her and make sure she is off of the pack house." Elijah ordered Ryan. Ryan nodded his head and went after Alisa to send her off.

　　Served her right. She was being nosy all the time. I knew I shouldn't be happy since Elijah was fuming in anger. But I couldn't help myself. "Next time you invite any outsider to a private pack meeting, you will be kicked out of the pack along with your guests." Elijah growled at Emma angrily.

　　Emma suddenly started laughing as if she might have heard a joke. "How amazing you are, Artemis? You literally turned the conversation around. I can't believe it." Emma spat those bitter words at me in a sarcastic tone. I had to squeeze Elijah's hand so I wouldn't rip her throat out at that moment.

　　"Emma! I have no idea what's your problem with me. But it's actually getting out of my hands. Stop looking down at me. I am not your brothers slave or something. I have the equal place in this pack as you." I growled at Emma angrily while I was breaking Elijah's bones. I couldn't feel the bones of his hand cracking as I squeezed his hand.

　　"Same place as me! Yeah right! We all know what you are. You are a whore who" before Emma could complete her sentence, I grabbed her by her neck and slammed her with the wall.

　　"This is as far as you can go. I can bear anything but if you ever tried to claw my dignity, I will rip your life out. Don't test my patience, Emma. The only reason you are still alive is because I spared your life the last time you tried to cross your limits." I loudly threatened Emma in front of everyone. Her eyes widened in horror as she knew what I was talking about. I let go of her neck as I knew that she was the one everyone was glaring at. Except for me, Uncle Grey and Emma, no one knew what happened that day.

　　"Will you spill it out exactly what you want to say? It's not like we have all the time in the world to keep on waiting for you." Elijah asked Emma in an annoyed tone. I guess he ran out of patience.

　　Emma practically tested his patience more often that he could actually handle. Most of the time, Elijah was frustrated because Emma hit his nerve. According to uncle Grey, it never happened before. He said it started right after Elijah punished Emma for the first time in front of everyone because of me. Well, she fucking tried to kill me. I would have loved to see her bowling before me. But I never tried my luck. Knowing Elijah so well, I knew he would have made them ask for forgiveness from me. But since I was new to all that shit at that time, I decided to go with the flow. She should have been grateful that Elijah didn't make them beg in front of me.

　　I might have been overreacting. But still, Emma started it. I was not an amateur like Emma to waste my precious time over something worthless. "Let me tell you, Alpha. I am sure Emma will not be able to tell you everything." Nichole stepped forward and interrupted us.

　　"Kevin and I saw Artemis abusing her powers over Emma. At the last full moon, we witnessed Artemis beating Emma. It was not noticed up until now, no one noticed it since Emma never had any bruises on her arms. But she has been assaulting Emma. We don't know since when it has been happening. But we saw it last full moon night." Nichole told the tale in front of Elijah and my eyes widened in horror.

　　My head turned towards Uncle Grey since he assured me to talk to Elijah about it as soon as possible. Uncle Grey was glaring at Nichole angrily. That was enough for me to understand that I was practically doomed. "Is it true, Artemis? Did you actually do it?" Elijas asked me in an angry tone. I felt like my soul left my body as I heard Elijah's question.

　　My gaze met with Uncle Grey's. He narrowed his head like a fucking coward. "Fucking bitch, Tracy. Curse you. I should never have listened to you in the first place. It would have been great if Elijah would have eliminated this fucking crazy bitch." I growled at Tracy who cower out on me at the moment when I needed her bad mouth. I could feel her asleep inside of me.

　　"I am asking you a question, Artemis. Did you do that? Did you assault Emma when she was not in her control?" Elijah yelled at me angrily. I jumped in fear as I heard him yelling at me for the first time. I took a deep breath to calm myself down. I knew if I lost control over myself, I would end up being a wild wolf. Since it was something a few of the pack members wanted.

　　I snatched my hands out of Elijah's hold. Then I wrapped my arms above my chest. "Yes! I beat the shit out of her." I replied to Elijah loudly.

　　"Artemis! Don't say anything further!" Uncle Grey growled at me to make me stop. I turned to glare at him. He had the audacity to make me look like a bad person since he didn't have enough time to complete his work.

　　"You have no right to say that to me since you fucking rated me out. Just because I don't have anyone to back me up, doesn't mean you can step on me. I am well enough to protect myself from anything. Even you." I yelled at Uncle Grey angrily and he narrowed his head. Elijah was staring at me with wide eyes as he heard my sudden defensive tone. Emma was growling at me angrily. She tried to grab my hair but at that moment, I was defensive. I grabbed her hand and twisted it behind her back.

　　The meeting hall echoed with gasps as for them, I yet again assaulted Emma. "You shouldn't play with fire, Emma. This was the last time when you saw my good side. I do have a dark side that I always kept hidden from all of you. But I think there is no use since you all can throw me under the bus whenever you want. You have no idea what I am capable of. So you better keep your fucking hands to yourself." I growled angrily at Emma then pushed her away from me.

　　"Artemis! Are you out of your mind? What the fuck are you doing?" Elijah yelled at me again. He was as angry as before. Since I didn't answer his questions. Well, I was planning on answering him. I no longer cared about anyone. Not even Tracy. Since they decided to team up against me, I knew I was supposed to be protecting myself from everyone. I was not sure how I suddenly got that strength. Maybe because they actually unlocked my dark side that I buried inside my chest a long time ago.
